They sell geisha in the "Caribbean/World" aisle in Walmart for less than $1. Save that luggage space for something else and just buy it here.

iampaulsmith:
Please I want to confirm if canned fish (e.g geisha) and vegetable oil is allowed into Canada.

Good morning everyone.
I am a HND holder and an ICAN chartered accountant. I'm currently lecturing in one of the Nigerian polytechnics. As someone who is expecting a study permit, what area of IT knowledge would be advisable for me to acquire that would boost my workability in Canada?

Please advise a novice.

Good day everyone in the house

I have a question about the issue of this 2 23kg box do they mean each box must weigh 23kg when buying it or when you get to the airport and they weigh it the whole content must not exceed 23kg.

Because I see people on the group saying they bought 23kg box and after all the weighing and evaluation it exceeded 23kg and some were asked to pay extra costs while some began removing items.

Thanks for your response.

Even if you prove to people scientifically that the oil here is much healthier and show them that is is way cheaper, hundreds will still travel with their naija oil. I wish I could explain why.

Hello House, I’m glad I searched this thread out from google. It seems the majority here have passed through copr stage at least, and perhaps can offer some advice & encouragement because my tired is getting tired undecided
Tomorrow will make it four weeks my passport got to ircc through Accra VAC & up till now no word or update on our express entry profile beyond PPR letter. I’ve sent Accra HC a mail but no response. My spouse who’s inland has called but the agent didn’t have much info. We are CEC and our CPC is Edmonton.
I thought passport stamping doesn’t take this long. Or could something be wrong somewhere? We followed all due processes after PPR. embarassed

Sometimes they are backlogged. From what I understand they are clearing their backlogged, all you can do at this point is wait.

You can ask your spouse to contact the MP (she can google search) representing her area, they might be able to let you guys know what the issue is.

Hi, Your response is very comforting. We will explore this option while we wait. Thank you.

Hello Nairaland people, I am in a serious dilemma, I am a legally married woman who is based in Nigeria and married to a Nigerian student in Canada, I have been unable to reach him for several months now, no communication whatsoever, his family members are not doing anything regarding the situation on ground, I am really worried on what could be the situation of things over there, he will be done with school in less than 4months. Please what could be wrong? He has promised to call for me soon, so I am surprised I cant reach him for this long. I really want to see my husband. This situation at hand as made me depressed and I have been unable to function. What do I do? Please help!

When was the last time you communicated with him?
How do you communicate? If he’s on WhatsApp, Instagram or Facebook, you should be able to determine his ‘last seen’ and know if he’s intentionally staying away from you.

Do you know any of his friends? Whether in person or friends on Facebook/Instagram? Check people he has tagged or who have tagged him in pictures, and reach out to them to help check up on him.

What school is he in? I’m not sure this is a good option to explore but schools have support services that you can reach out to, and they might just help to check up on him.

I have contacted his school, he said he will reach me but nothing yet. I have tried to reach him on various social media platforms which we do communicate, my messages are not delivering and I have been getting various threatening mails from a lady saying ‘I should quit messaging her husband WhatsApp’. I don’t even know what to think anymore, serious dilemma at the moment of what could be the problem. Please I need all the advise I can get to help me out of this situation. I am confused, sad, worried and depressed, his family members are mute and they are not helping the situation on ground at all. What can I do!!

Send all ur wedding pic to the lady
Tell ur supposed husband to come out straight.. because if he is married to another woman while he is still married to u
Educate him on how you can actually mess him up by sueing him for bigamy and that can mess him up anywhere in the world.

You already know what's up.
He most likely married the other lady for papers. Important questions though: how long have you guys been married? how did you meet him? Were you guys married before he traveled to Canada for studies?

Two options for you
1. Wait for him to get his PR, divorce the lady and file for you. This is probably going to take between 3 - 4 years. But then, this option might be a problem cos if he wants to file for you in 4 years time, your marriage certificate will show that you have been married for at least 5 years.

2. Contact the lady and let her know. See below. With this option, know that the marriage is over.

Please what can I do as regards to involving the law cause I want the law to take justice, what do I do. Is it possible to get married to someone in Canada, while you are legally married to someone in Nigeria? Please I do I go about this, I need help in navigating this situation.

I have a sister In my church whose life was mess up big time because of all these migration to abroad at all cost

Everytime I see dis lady I pity her she is a shadow of herself with her son who is 8 years and has not heard his father's voice before

It's so bad that the church will not even advise remarriage as long as the first husband is alive...they only advise her to keep on praying...that God will bring her husband back

What a life... honestly I wonder the desperation to relocate that will enable u dump ur wife and kids why marry at all in the first place .. is looking for Greener pasture not to improve the quality of life for ur family?

If a lot of woman has taken the bull by the horn to handle the matter without unnecessary emotional...dis act will have stop long before now

please what can I do? How do I navigate this situation or involve the appropriate authorities! This is unfair honestly, at least in a situation like this I would have been carried along in the plan rather than been ghosted like I don’t exist. This is my legally married husband and I have been calm for so long. But I am wondering how possible it is to be legally married in Nigeria and been married in Canada

Contact him again...and tell him what you want to do
Hear what he has to say
All will mostly be lies Sha
Contact his parents... about what you are about to do ....
His parents are in the know that is why dey are acting up ...then if they don't bulge .....hahahaha there are different ways to kill an animal.
Just make sure you do due diligence.. because we are still Africans and culture is still an important aspect of our life
