Good evening. I have been trying to get information bout this bothering question but I have not been able to get a straight answer. If I get my permanent residency through the Atlantic immigration pilot program or PNP, and I am fed up with living in that particular province, can I relocate to another province? If no, what are the repercussions if I decide to leave the province for another province by myself? 1 Like |

NwanyiOkpa:depends on the province some will allow you go after stating the reason e.g unemployment, marriage, family etc, applies to Ontario and some other pnp. Some will collect their thing back and you land in MM2 e.g Saskatchewan . I know someone who went with ontario nomination but got job in New brunswick, informed them and she left. Like 2 years ago a lady left Saskatchewan after she got job in Ontario while her husband remained. They found out and told ircc to revoke the PR 5 Likes 2 Shares |

Hmmmm. Exactly one month in Canada. Really if you are coming here, just be prepared for culture jolt. I stay downstairs (not basement) in a house with a Canadian guy, two Indian guys. Upstairs, there are two Nigerians and one other African guy (I don't know his nationality). Since the first day I arrived at the house, the Canadian guy has been very hostile. The Indian guy beside my room has been nice, my thoughts. Suddenly, the guy changed. If I'm coming to my room and he's going out, he'll re-enter his room and close the door. Happened like thrice. Then he stopped answering my greetings. Me too kuma stopped greeting him. The other Indian too has started this morning,.... Really strange!!!! Be prepared to be on your own. Mine is even better, I have two Nigerians upstairs I can talk to. Some other people are facing their own without any friends. It can really be overwhelming. Nigeria culture is still the best. Even if it's eye service sometimes, it's still good. You will have to be very strong, yeah very very strong!!! If you are an extrovert, you'll have to be triply ( x3 ) very strong. If Nigeria is very good, Wetin we dey find for here. That's the zeal that will make us succeed here no matter the odds. 38 Likes 1 Share |

Hello house..I am new here!! Please I will like to know the easiest province to apply to. I once applied to Nova Scotia but didn't meet up since I couldn't get job offer.. Any help in the house pls? |
Re: Living In Canada/Life As A Canadian Immigrant Part 2 by Nobody: 7:07pm On May 26, 2021 |
ogunleyesijibomi:you need to visit the websites of each province to know how their pnp works and also research. There is no easy province, some choose from the pool, some you can apply, some you need job offer etc. Have you done ielts or eca |

Hello all, pls is it advisable for a newcomer to request for 2 credit cards from 2 different banks but at the same time? Any negative consequences? |
Re: Living In Canada/Life As A Canadian Immigrant Part 2 by alteco007(m): 12:53am On May 27, 2021 |
Pee2Jay9: I would say it’s not a bad idea. Provided you are really good at financial management. Number of credit and how long you’ve had them is part of what’s used to score your credit. You know anything you owe is in your name. Just my opinion. 1 Like |

Canada is a great country to live in, have recently moved here with my parents. If you are currently moving or planning to move to Canada, I can recommend you this company https://highstreammoving.com/. It provides amazing services for decent prices, it saves a lot of time and nerves. 1 Like |

Pee2Jay9: I would really advice against this. I don't know why you need two credit cards but I would generally say for a newcomer, it's a bad idea. You need to understand the credit system first, discipline yourself around repayments and learn to live within your means in this 'finance this, finance that' world. You see this country, it's easy to fall into debt. If you manage your money well and live within your means, you should be very fine with a card. It's so nice coming back to this thread and seeing it's still as helpful and active as it was before. Kudos to the senior men (and women) keeping it alive! 4 Likes |

irijuola: Are you guys sharing a house? Having lived in Canada for a while I am not suprised with the white Canadian guy behaviour..most times it's not you that is the problem..most times they are real A-holes. For the east Indian.. don't mind him.Just mind your business. Whether you are introvert or extrovert. Canada is a place to mind your business. You don't have to go out of your way to greet or please any idiot. Do your thing but don't let anybody intimidate you and tell you nonsense. 20 Likes |
