I pity this government. Trying to mess with an American company’s profit. A liberal leaning company with a Democrat as president. |

dragunov: Yes, and GEJ gave Mr. Buhari 21/odd million votes...abi. Keep playing the ostrich and don't own up to the responsibility that citizens only get what they are competent enough to. I hope when 2023 and beyond comes you will blame Mr. Buhari for the next terrible choice we are all lining up to campaign for, propagate and vote in. Nigerians never take personal responsibility for anything. Look at Nairaland. All the vociferous horde of supporters of this President and this government just a few years ago have all run away or changed identity. Only few stand original to their beliefs and are willing to take the blowback. That is the Nigerian for you. Irresponsible to the core. It is never their fault. Always someone elses. 3 Likes 1 Share |

Mynd44: The problem here is not the statement from the Federal Government but it's actual meaning, looking at the motive behind the statement you will understand they meant banning Twitter indefinitely but like always they didn't come clean in stating their point so that it will be so easy for them to debunk it tomorrow when they are summoned as false news and point ESN and IPOB or even PDP to have hijacked Federal Government Twitter account. |

The government would just tell all ISPs not to allow their subscribers to use Twitter. So, Twitter usage can be effectively blocked. Mynd44: |

Na by force to use Twitter when your comments are offensive to their rules and regulations? This is shameful. Buhari thinks he is all everything about Nigeria only. Twitter is the only means of business communications of some individuals and companies, some companies have subscribed and paid for their services ahead of time. This is a big loss to some individuals and companies. Buhari should at least pretend he has the interest of people at heart for once |

Zeezy81:Yes so that Jack the Twitter guy can see it before the full implementation. He love his country America and deleted a lot of twits that encourage the invasion of the Capitol Hill. Tanzania, India, China, Uganda, Saudi Arabia, UAE and many developing countries suspended them and heaven did not fall. Let them pay the fine and follow the ethical rules if they still want to continue to operate in Africa largest market Nigeria. |
