I just want to be sincere here: when the president of a country ban social media and one of her citizens is found making use of the medium or made use of the banned media. That means the presidential order has been disobeyed.

Before you blast me, let us assume you banned your child from making use of her phone. She when ahead and made use of her friend's phone. Does that mean your child has disobeyed you?

Should I call that a debate? Someone should reason in my direction and let's see if we can justify that.
what you forgot is that freedom of expression and association with legal bodies is a fundamental human right which government can't deny you especially in a "democracy"

Now fit that it

Look at it this way too, Twitter deleted the president's tweet and they decide to ban twitter operation in Nigeria, now the question is was it to stop Nigerians from using it or to spite Twitter? .. Note: It was never said that Nigerians are banned from using Twitter but stopped the operations of Twitter in Nigeria to spite Twitter probably to cut them from making earnings in Nigeria for having the guts to delete the president's tweet.. So whoever used Twitter in any way they can have access to it has not disobeyed the government but just shown that he or she has no grudge with Twitter and does not see reason with the president banning Twitter operations in the country. My points in this debate..

I think this is what the Bible said above, why is Pastor Adeboye disobeying and circumventing the Buhari’s Authority?

If Pastor Adeboye perceived this command as evil, he has all the opportunity on earth to tell Buhari the above bible verse.

the FG banned Twitter from Nigerian space, they did not ban Nigerians from using twitter!
2 different things.

if I am in USA I can sure well use Twitter despite being a Nigerian. same thing applies as I'm here in Nigeria.

I'm not defending Adeboye but look at it this way, must you obey every command? So if Buhari commands all doctors not to treat ill people, and you are doctor, you won't treat your only child who is about to die?
Read your bible very well and stop defending a man who himself usurped power.
Even if Buhari is rightfully Nigeria's President, won't he lead based on our constitution? So if a Yoruba man abused/insulted him, and he decided to kill every Yoruba man just because he is President?
He shouldn't be questioned? When did Buhari become God?
Or to put it milder, when did Buhari's word become law?
No one who hates oppression should support this action abeg.

Friend, there is a difference between God, your father or any leader.

Leadership comes with responsibilities- one of which is serve those you lead and not subjugate them.

The same Buhari who sanctions people for hate speech and disobeys virtually all court injunctions is the one you are calling a leader.

I disagree that pastors are not freedom fighters. In fact, they are the biggest freedom fighters just that they won't behave like Sowore, Nnamdi KANU or Igboho.
Concerning the last election, you know what happened -except you weren't in this country

Which of the disciples of Jesus was a freedom fighter and what is the definition of freedom fighter?
Re: Is Pastor Adeboye Tweeting With VPN? - Daddy G.O Dragged On Twitter by derecho(m): 2:05pm On Jun 06, 2021
There are many terms defined to suit certain situations by certain groups.
That said, A freedom fighter is basically one who is against oppression and may resist it via violent or nonviolent means.Simply Put, freedom fighters fight for freedom.

The Early disciples were not violent but were "nonconformists" to what would oppress or enslave others. All they preached was for men to know of the freedom purchased at Calvary by Jesus and man's redemptive rights.

Christians would suffer wrong but No Christian (Christ's disciple) would keep quiet when others are oppressed
especially when he/she can speak or do something for the oppressed.

In a democracy, the president is not there to do what HIS heart desires. He does what the people want. Buhari is not a dictator. Nigerians put him there to represent them not to pass laws without their consent.
Do you commoners know what powers you have over those you put to watch over your estate aka country?

I am more interested in the part where stated that no Law permits the government from restricting individual access to twitter or any online platform.

@me
I have told you that there is no statute or case law in Nigeria that permits the government to take such action. Legal experts have said the same thing.

You that is arguing otherwise the onus is on you to show us if such exist.

You don't need to assume.
When you ask questions, wait for an answer.
It's sometimes better to be mum than voicing an opinion that is off tangent.

Where in my post did I say that I put my hope in pastors?
And if DJ Switch or DJ Cable is your role model, why should I adopt her as mine?

It's your type that make people think young people can't reason. Learn to appreciate issues before contributing.
You could as well ask me to join touts and urchins fighting during an unrest to prove I'm a freedom fighter.

A case of comparing Apples and oranges.
