Good afternoon, please I am new here and need advice on some things;

1) please most of my funds are in stanbic ibtc bank and they do not make use of Mybankstatement platform, please how can i go about submitting it because i am considering going through the NSE route

2) If funds is being withdrawn after submitting my application from the account that has a bulk amount of my funds, can it affect my application or is there a way it can be tracked by IRCC

3) what are the things that are required in a reference letter from an organisation I no longer work with

Please gurus in the house kindly help out with these questions. Thank you

Hi!

1. Don’t transfer the funds. You need to show how the funds grew and a single lump transfer is a huge red flag. If your bank doesn’t do MBS, use regular bank statements.

2. Funds can be withdrawn after application but it is best not to do so. The VO may request for another bank statement at any point during your visa processing. Unless the huge withdrawal is for Payment of Tuition fee, please avoid doing it.

P.S your funds can’t be tracked. They only see what you give them access to via MBS or upload via bank statements.

3. I have no idea about this. Please wait on others to respond.

I would like to point out that if you’re going to submit an application as an employed person, you need to drop a statement of your salary account. This may not be relevant to you tho.

I wanna say thank you to everyone here who have been supportive. Your kind words are deeply appreciated. Life is a journey, and moments like these are what make it worthwhile. The little things we do for others, the kind words, the friendly gestures, and the lessons learnt.

I am not new to failure, even though I have experienced great success. I know this is not the end of the road, but an eye-opener and a path to true victory. I will not drown in disappointment, but will be proactive and as quick as the wind.

I pray that those hoping to receive PPRs will get their heart desires. But wherever you are across the world, it's fulfilling your life's purpose that counts. May God continue to strengthen you all and be a blessing in your lives.

Yeah, I had upfront medical examination. It is well with you all.
all the best bro

I got a refusal though, for home ties both in Canada and Nigeria. Apparently, my ties in Canada are way more than those in Nigeria. I will order GCMS note. I may reapply or opt for the US. But US is priority right now.

I wish you all a delightful outcome in your applications. We learn every day, and some experiences are worthwhile, even though they are a bit sad. But we move!

I applied on March 11 by the way.

While I await my GCMS note, these are possible reasons for my refusal. For the sake of new applicants, these are the things I did wrong?

I have siblings in Canada who have families. I and my parents are the only ones that reside in Nigeria. I didn't pay tuition fee (there was no acceptance fee attached to my program either). Hence, there could be a 'Purpose of Visit' concern. Could it be he wants to go live with his siblings rather than study?

I am single, mobile (This is not an issue for applicants, unless there are other things to consider, such as what I stated earlier).

I anticipated this, but I underestimated its impact.

I believe if I have to reapply next time, paying tuition is vital. Once GCMS note comes in, I will get a better understanding of what really happened.
ohh I so much love ur spirit. sharing time line even after refusal so that others cud learn.since I Joined Naira land I have met very lovely ppl.so Nigerians are this good and unselfish.I off my hat 4 u bro.plz re apply and send ur testimony here sir

In response to your query,

1. Stanbic IBTC Bank make use of mybankstatement platform. I personally used it for mine. You can access it via their internet banking platform. When you login, go to service request and chose to send statement. You will have the option to chose send statement to embassy and fill other details as required. Once successful, a pop up shows up for you to download the one page mybankstatement certificate containing ticket ID and password. Alternatively, you can go to any of their branches if you're not signed up on internet banking. Don't forget that the service is relatively new to most of their staff, so they may tell you otherwise but you have to insist you know what you're requesting for.

2. If you send MBS to IRCC, they can only view your transactions up to the time you requested for it to be sent. Any other transaction afterwards will not be seen by them. However, if the manner the funds came looks suspicious that it may be borrowed fund, the VO can request for updated MBS to allay his concerns. You wouldn't want to shoot yourself on the leg if actually the money in the account is yours.

3. Since you're no longer working with them, the wording of the letter will be in the past tense. Basically, an introduction letter for you will state that you were a staff with the organisation between period A to B, it will state the position you occupied and your monthly/yearly salary (gross or net salary). Finally it may want to attest to your personality and request the Canadian embassy to assist you with any help possible towards your study permit application. This is not exhaustive but that's the much I can remember for now.

Hope it helps.

Hi, I'm very sure Stanbic makes use of MBS, except it's a Mutual Funds account, that doesn't use MBS.

This is an annoying bump but i know you’ll figure it out. I remember that someone in part 18 with similar family circumstances as yours got his visa approved. Unfortunately, I cannot remember his handle. My advise will be for you to further strengthen your home times in your next application and tackle the purpose of visit from all perspective including those not stated in the gcms notes. Tuition payment, current employment, career stability and most importantly, the strength of your relationship with your parents should not be overlooked.

Unfortunately, a higher burden of proof is required from some people and we must provide compelling reasons to eliminate or significantly reduce the doubts of the vo. Sometimes, it can be unfair.

VOs are humans like us, capable of making wrong decisions. That's why there's a judicial review but it's a long process. No one has time for that nonsense but some people do get the decision overturned.
Not too long ago, someone here was wrongly accused of payment chargeback. Some people have reapplied with just the inclusion of 1 additional document such as affidavit of support. A Jamaican youtuber reapplied with the inclusion of police certificate. These people shouldn't have been denied in the first place. All in all, one has to hope for the best, prepare for the worst.

yea take a look at this one from India.he went through d judicial review

Good morning house.

My husband got admission and full funding for a PhD. We are putting our application documents together (family application) and need your input.

1. Considering that he is in China while I am in Nigeria, would I be able to do biometrics in Nigeria?

2. Is it okay for his sister to send a lump sum into his account to add to the POF? (Explaining the lump sum in the LOE together with her bank statement showing the transfer)

3. We want to submit upfront medicals. Is he the only one to do medicals or both of us?

Thanks in anticipation of your kind replies.

I can personally vouch for Ogayemi Law firm. He knows his onions. One of the best qualified immigration lawyers in Canada
obongkaks:
This is rather sad yet painful. You will need to hire the services of an immigration lawyer resident in Canada and as you should know, lawyers abroad charge per hour. I would advise you do not correspond with cic yourself on this case. Check humansqaud.ca and chat them up to see if they can refer you to a lawyer over there.

Also check Ogayemi law firm, they are an immigration lawyer but rather expensive. Whatever your decision, you will have to bring closure to this case cos it will always arise whenever you have to apply to any other country.

I wish you well

Good evening my good people.
I have already been granted my study permit, however I am yet to leave for Canada. Whiles here I want to apply for my 6 year old son to join me. On this thread, I have seen people applying for either a study permit or visit visa for their kids.
If I choose to apply for the study permit, on the IMM1294e form(study permit form),
1. do I have to enter the details of my school on the form(since he has to get to Canada first before he is enrolled in school) ?
2. Do I enter the tuition cost etc of my study or I should just indicate that is not applicable.

I saw a new way to apply for a study permit and I used it instead of the normal way of creating a GcKey. Now I think I’m the only one that used this path. Should I start again and go through the normal path?

*Note* I’m at the last phase of submitting my application.

Kindly check the picture uploaded below to confirm?

Any suggestions please?

Has anyone used the method of applying?

And do I need to upload the Imme forms because I didn’t see anywhere to put it but I’ve already filled it in s section before getting to the last phase.

I applied to Dalhousie university since July 2020. My supervisor informed me that my application has been deferred to fall 2021. I emailed my program coordinator and be said they would get back to me June. I have admission from another school sha. I also informed my supervisor, she said she is expecting to hear from the school too. Try to email the graduate studies for an update.
