You are making things worse for the Apprentice and it is unfortunate, if you have no job or placement to give him.
You should not have dissed the other guy the way you did and on top of it, You are still Wrong!
This has nothing to do with having a sense of entitlement, it is about 'Courtesy', which is not a Nigerian thing.

Maybe it is your comprehension of English or his statement but l wont dwell on that too much because l dont it to be an issue moreover, this is not an English class. undecided
The word "please" is not a sign of inferiority, when used for another person, it is a sign of Courtesy.
A British Policeman who is putting you in handcuffs, will say: Please can you extend your hands out (so he can put the cuffs).
That shows 'courtesy' and not that the Policeman is inferior or afraid of you.

Let me quote the 'applicant':
I am into Building supervision I also need more professional experience in my field, please if you're a professional in this field indicate so I can contact you.

And let me quote what you wrote: Please indicate, so i can contact you.
You can see that your statement and his, are not exactly the same, due to where the word 'Please', is placed.

You, are assuming that the 'Please' at the beginning of his statement, covers the whole sentence but someone like @sonnie10 understands English and proper usage of words and he knows it does not cover the whole sentence.

The 'Please' should have come just before the 'indicate so l can contact you'.
To appear as: ... I also need more professional experience in my field, please if you're a professional in this field, PLEASE indicate, so I can contact you.

The reason it is so, is that "indicate" is 'a request' in that sentence and it is what needs the 'courtesy' (please) to qualify it moreover, when you are making a request to someone who will be in the position of a Teacher or a Boss, showing courtesy, in making such request is not a bad idea.
My opinion is that the 'applicant' did not pay enough attention to his sentence but he means no arrogance, in his request.

I come in peace o and l have stomach pain as well, so l cant go back and forth, on the matter.

Now that he is done with school, there are a few things school did not teach him. One is the attitude to navigate the labor market and the other one is humility.
Choice of word is key in winning and negotiating especially when you have little bargaining power.
This is not just Nigeria issue. Communication is more than simply hearing or listen, in fact people weigh mostly based on attitude. Did you know that something as simple as not making eyes contact can make a potential employer lose confidence in you in the Western world?

You can serve requisite Notice (6months, 3Months, 1Month, 7days, depending on the type of tenancy and SIGNED, Written agreement), to coincide with the last day of the Tenancy. It is legal.
Dating and content is very crucial, please.

And may l add, Landlords should Stamp Duty their Tenancy Agreements, for it to be legally binding and Evidencial in court.
It is just 0.78 % of Value.
Not doing so can make a Judge refuse to accept your signed agreement as 'evidence' in Court, during an ejection hearing.

Is there some sort of law biding this ? Law of evidence? ( check, stamp duty for Tenancy agreement).

Or judges are exercising or abusing their judicial discretion?

what is the size of your land.

60 x 120 or 50 x 100?

Is it waterlogged or dry land?

Do u want to use 6 inches or 9 inches?

With this little calculation below you can help yourself, if you can't, I can help u with the calculations.

The Simplest Way To Calculate The Numbers Of Blocks U Need For Your Fence

The simplest way to calculate the numbers of blocks you need for your fence project, assuming you are fencing a land measuring 120 feet by 60 ft, a standard plot

This calculation is based on 9 inches block fence .
The measurement we are using is 120 ft (length) and since we have two lengths that is multiply by 2 which is 240 ft. (120 x 2) = 240

The breadth is 60 ft and also since we have 2 breadths that equal 120 ft (60 x 2) = 120
Then (240 + 120) that is 360 feet perimeter line fencing.

The calculation

(we are to convert this 360 feet to inches ) since a foot is 12 inches , now let us multiply 12 inches by 360 ft which is 4320 inches.

Now to get the line numbers of blocks that will go around the fence perimeters of 4320 inches or 360 feet, we would need to divide 4320 by 18 inches, since the length of any block be it 6 inches or 9 inches is 18inches.

Now 4320 inches divide by 18 inches is approximately 240 line of blocks , then we must multiply that by the numbers of coaches of blocks you want for your height, assuming 7 ft which is 9 coaches that means 240 multiply by 9 which is 2160 blocks, i have been using this method for years without any mistake, and for this work, you only need 30 bags of cements, one bag of cement to 50 blocks.

for your pillars between the fence, let assume 6 blocks from one pillar to the next pillar, that means 6 divide by 240 which is 40 pillars.

40 lengths of 12mm iron rod, since one pillar is equivalent to 1 length.

3 lengths of 16mm iron rod for the 2 big pillars holding the gate.

90 planks of soft wood for the framing.

1 truck of granite (granite would be use for the wall foundation and columns or pillars )

90 tons of Sharp Sand or dagbolu.

Let me know if this help m

It's a common legal requirement and not just Nigeria. You stamp a document/agreement officially so it is admissible in evidence when a dispute arises especially if granting security over such agreement. The option is yours of course.

The rate is set by law but Federal/State Governments can offer waivers for certain categories of investments. Eg, an FDI I'm aware of saved over $20m in stamp duties recently through such waivers.

If you're buying a house with a mortgage, the bank will require you to stamp the purchase agreement before accepting it as collateral, again so it can be admitted in court as evidence if things go wrong.

Hello House,

Please I'm having issues with one side of my fence, it has collapsed thrice in four years.
Before I engage another bricklayer, I need ideas on what could be wrong.
What could be the root cause?

Meanwhile, on all the times the collapse occurred, it was during heavy downpour.
My suspicions are:-
1) Quality of blocks used
2) Method of reinforcement (pillar)
3) Foundation not deep enough or casting not well grounded
4) Topography and soil type

What's the best method of installing iron rods for pillar, is it best to nail the rods till they touch hard ground or bend the ends of the rods so they stand on hard ground or on cast?

Please I want to learn, help me save money and avoid continued wastage.

Note: The fence is on the 120 length of the plot and its about 11 coaches from ground level.

Stamp Duty for a tenancy agreement is not a requirement in most western countries and I have rented spaces in a few of them.

In the U.S, some states do have a default tenancy agreement form on the state/county/city website that a landlord could just print off and use. Stamp Duty not required even in the event the landlord's lawyer drafts the tenancy agreement. Notary is not even required for the document to be legally binding.

The reference you made about buying a house.. in the U.S some documents requires notary which the desk jockey at the closing company can do.

Also, don't confuse power of attorney with tenancy agreement. Them two have different legal guidelines .

The word "agreement " means two people have agreed on an issue .

An agreement is legally binding if the two parties agreed on it by,

1). By word of mouth.
2). A text exchange
3). Email exchange
4). And offcourse our very popular ink to paper.

Most judges don't like the word of mouth because it places a heavy burden on the court to determine who is telling the truth and who is stretching the truth. Offcourse since the case made it to court, there has been a disagreement and they come to court to seek redress.
