They're right with their report, Lagos cost of living is high and the standard of living is low while oyo town standard of living is high and the cost of living is low. A lot of people will not understand this cos they think Lagos is the only town you can make money and be successful. Life expectancy in Lagos is low, a man in the village, eating fresh fruits, vegetables, farming or teaching, breathing in fresh air, not in traffic for hours not spending exorbitantly high on his daily needs will leave to 100 years and pass on in peace. 2 Likes |

Eriokanmi: Sir, I have read with avid interest some of your posts here. The penultimate one I read was where you talked about how you started small with your wife about 20 years ago and went on to achieve your goals, even dining with a certain former US president. Your posts are intelligent and a good inspiration. And for someone who has travelled far and wide and seen it all, there must be a thing or two I can glean from your experience. I would appreciate any suggestion or assistance you can render in also helping me achieve some of mine. If you don't mind, I can send a mail. Thank you. 1 Like |

Kandeed:End sars was a timely protest much needed at that moment, but as usual nigerian youths lost the aim and the plot by allowing wrong people infiltrate them,no protest will work in nigeria if the youths are not ready to fight touts, armed robbers and criminals who masquerade as protesters and use such occasions fr destruction and all types of evil.just as police brutality reduced, crime, rape and all other vices escalated... Go figure... |

Gamesmart: What's special about ur time? Isn't it d same time u used in making these bogus claims below? "In the report it tagged Lagos unsafe security wise. Me and you as Nigerians know Lagos is the safest city in Nigeria or one of the safest but the report has 'tagged Lagos unsafe' because Nigeria as a whole is a blood pit. By hard work, countlessly we have seen the efforts of the LASG and it's goal to make the city a Dubai, so it's unfair on their efforts after seeing a report like this." Did u consult Google before u arrived at ur conclusions? Meanwhile, Pls answer d following questions: 1. Which "hardwork" are u referring to? 2. How does d rest of d country being a shithole make Lagos suffer & prevent it from being appreciated? 3. Can u negate d information provided in d report? |

Eriokanmi: Absolutely spot on. Unfortunately, many Lagosians & youths just like many nigerian are satisfied with d crumbs that fall from d table & see it as a favour done to them by d thieves sitting 9ver our commonwealth |

lexy2014: Obviously I have nothing to worry about… But how does that translate into “d report is correct”? I have already summarized my reasons… Eg, crap like “humidity” or “general discomfort” merely reflect inherent Oyinbo bias. It may be a useful index for an Oyinbo traveler… But no purportedly educated African should simply cram-and-regurgitate this drivel. > |

lexy2014: The real question is: Tell me what are the achievements of home-based players in CAN, WAFU, ACL etc. that shows they are worthy as the main base for selection to represent Nigeria instead of the foreign-based players. |

9jaRealist: If u have nothing to worry about, then u shouldn't have said this: "Nonsense and ingredients…. An Oyinbo list draw up with an interest BIAS for Oyinbo living. SMH" If u said that "development is a process", then are agreeing with d report& acknowledging it's correctness. U are acknowledging that Lagos isn't developed which is what d report with d indices it used has said. If u say d report is "a useful index for an Oyinbo traveler…", does that in anyway negate it's validity? |

lexy2014: Btw, if you are going to quote me, please quote the ENTIRE sentence, so that CONTEXT is not lost… Nonetheless, I guess that if (eg) EIU elevates Caucasian physical traits as most desirable and beautiful, some would find it “valid”. > |

KingKingKing: They are talking of cities and you are talking of settlements. Nigeria has only one city and that is Lagos. Every other thing you call city in Nigeria is just a settlement . Unfortunately the only city Nigeria has is just trash. |
Re: Lagos Ranks Second On World’s Least Livable Cities - EIU by lexy2014: 7:59pm On Jun 10, 2021 |
9jaRealist: On d contrary. U have a lot to worry about if not, u wouldn't even have noticed d report in d first. D report was good enough to get u to this: "Nonsense and ingredients…. An Oyinbo list draw up with an interest BIAS for Oyinbo living. SMH" That is WORRY in capital letters |
Re: Lagos Ranks Second On World’s Least Livable Cities - EIU by lexy2014: 8:06pm On Jun 10, 2021 |
9jaRealist: Except u don't no d meaning of d words u chose to express urself, then we can talk of context. I don't need to quote ur entire sentence to understand d context. What other context or meaning can be given to "development is a process not an event"? Pls what is correlation between physical traits of a Caucasian and d status of Lagos State as d second on d worst liveable cities in d world? Meanwhile, If u say d report is "a useful index for an Oyinbo traveler…", does that in anyway negate it's validity? |
