Whew! I only caught the last few minutes but props to the bucks for staying laser focused and tough till the end. I like it when the whole team buys in - you can tell by bucks body language they know they are going up against goliath |

Surprised they actually pulled it off. Props to Middleton today. It read all what the Media were saying about Him and came out swinging. Well done. Also can Budenholzer tell Giannis to stop spamming threes like there is no tomorrow? Mate your free throw shooting percentages are atrocious so work on that instead of spamming threes like you are the second coming of Klay Thompson. |

chic2pimp: This is all part of coaching and instructions. The Nets will give Giannis that shot everyday. Its like you said earlier, try the plan A and if it fails, try it over and over again. The Nets made some adjustments with the Giannis ISO and that left Giannis jacking up 3's. For me, I think they have to find ways to get Holiday more involved in the offense but again, how can he when Giannis is brining up the ball and running ISO plays? Truth be told, Giannis showed up today..He bossed that paint but it seems he easily gets distracted from his bread and butter. The Nets were one stop and shot from winning this game. |

Clippers played as well as Jazz in this game. Those freak Jazz 3s were just too much. If they didn't fall in such a big hole, they could have won this game. I would feel confident about winning 2 at home in LA |

nairamaniac: Bruv Just free the guy and him dick suckers. No matter how the truth stares them in the face they'll still go with their shenanigans and keep yarning nonsense. Bruv just free them and keep being you jare, love the way you analyse s the game. No normal thinking person who knows the game of basketball would ever acknowledge LBJ as the Goat but we obviously can't doubt his greatness since he entered the league. Age is unfortunately not on his side again but he can still win a chip with the right pieces and him Basically facilitating. But always Calling him a fraud once he has a bad game is preposterous but the Aforementioned and his cohorts sit all day and hate on greatness directly, jokingly and indirectly but na dem Sabi, doesn't actually change a fucking thing. Between most of them are Newbies and started following/ watching Bball recently that's y at every Turn the only name on em Lips is Steph etc But it is what it Is, our bleeping opinions here don't change a Damm thing but we go still yarn based on our passion for the game. 2 Likes |

Abeg na who cut soap for this Jazz team? Dropping 3 pointers like they own the copyright to it. Donovan giving opponents the eye each time he throws a bullet from craziest of angles or positions? lol. And Gobert? Dude blocking anything and everything. Would love to see how far they can go. 1 Like |

joshboo: Thanks! One more chip or not, Lebron has solidified his legacy amongst the greats. I don't even think of steph(alone) whenever I think of what limited Lebron from winning more rings. I think more of the entire warriors and the ways they played the game before thinking of steph. Even though steph was the leader of the group. I'm glad the warriors happened. That warriors even before durant came in played the most intelligent/perfect basketball I had seen since phil jackson's Lakers(2000-2003). Im a fan of good basketball. 1 Like |

birdman: I agree with you. I personally don't see it as defence being frowned upon. I have always known the game to be a NON CONTACT SPORT. I remember when I played back then on my own small levels, referees at times usually penelise us for REACHING. I would here screams like REACHING! REACHING. When I argue, they say "give arm's length". Only God knows what that means? Cos when a bigger player turns back and works his way to the basket against me, I'm allowed to use my body(front) against his back. I'm not a ref, but pls someone explain this to me. |
Re: The NBA Begins by Roland17(m): 1:54am On Jun 12, 2021 |
Two teams, the Sixers and Clippers needed to be aggressive in the pursuit of a scoring PG heading into the post season, both teams failed and are paying dearly for it. One of both teams should have landed Lowry, both failed. What exactly is Ben Simmons impact/ contribution to winning a basketball game? Can the Sixers win a Championship with Simmons? They have players in Thybulle and Milton who can do a decent job on the defensive end and still offer something on the offensive end. |
Re: The NBA Begins by birdman(m): 2:07am On Jun 12, 2021 |
nairamaniac: In amateur leagues, contact is definitely frowned upon. Less contact, less injury, less intimidation. For pro leagues where money is involved, you gon get touched. At that point its a grown man game. If you are small like Iverson, you need to accept there will be Shaqs in the league, you are playing for money so some ruckus is expected. Obviously what is called foul in an euro league may be nothing in the nba, so league you are in matters too. To me, given the athleticism and strength in the NBA, you should allow enough physicality to make it hard for a freak like Durant or Curry to just load up and be dropping 40pts. The league already allows guards to D up on centers aggressively. Lets just be fair and allow aggressive D on those guys we know can shoot from the logo |
Re: The NBA Begins by birdman(m): 2:20am On Jun 12, 2021 |
Roland17: Big and physical PG with good handles and bball IQ. He is very relevant on defense. Even in offense, you have to account for him as he is a deadly facilitator. They already have Curry and Harris who can get hot on their own. I disagree with a lot of the pros who say he should be replaced with a shooting PG. There are many things Simmons does that is not on the stats sheet |
Re: The NBA Begins by Roland17(m): 2:37am On Jun 12, 2021 |
birdman: I am a proponent of the school of thought that stats are not everything but in this instance, the opportunity cost of featuring Simmons for the amount of minutes he plays does not make the Sixers better when compared to a Beal/ Booker/ CJ McCollum/ Lowry as direct replacements. Thing is, those features you have listed have not had any impact on this Sixers for nearly 3 seasons now. The league does not respect PG who don’t have offensive prowess or the ability to control the tempo of the game. Thybulle and Milton can do just an effective job on defense at the top of the key. Curry and Harris “can” get hot but do they? These guys are just about as inconsistent offensively and that leaves Embiid shouldering the bulk of the offensive burden. How would Simmons look outside of the Sixers? If the trade with Houston for Harden materialized, can you bet Simmons would stay at an All Star level? |
Re: The NBA Begins by Roland17(m): 2:56am On Jun 12, 2021 |
Doc Rivers you are up by 17, Embiid has no business being on the court. This is the 2nd time he has suffered a hard fall. Take him out and manage the game with 6 minutes left. |
Re: The NBA Begins by Roland17(m): 3:18am On Jun 12, 2021 |
This is what happens when your game plan revolves around the 3.. The Hawks took too many bad shots.. failed to go through offensive progressions. Embiid was 21 games (injury) away from being the MVP. He has to be gutted because he has had a spectacular season. |
Re: The NBA Begins by Roland17(m): 3:23am On Jun 12, 2021 |
Congrats to N. Jokic for winning the MVP.. Well deserved. I always say he is by far the big man with the best footwork under the rim i today’s NBA. I love watching him because he makes the game seem less. |

The hawks are badly missing Deandre Hunter's defence and offence in this series. |

nairamaniac: You mean since the last great Spurs team of the mid 2010s most especially the 2014 team that won it all. That Lakers team was pretty much a two man tandem with good side pieces. Nothing about that team screams perfect/intelligent ball movement to me. |
