At exactly 12:00am on Saturday, Twitter CEO, Jack Dorsey posted on his official page, the green-white-green flag of Nigeria.

Why?

June12thProtest, Twitter Suspension or Solidarity with Nigerians?

Well Jack got instructions from Washington DC to make it easy for the Nigerian government to reverse it's ban on Twitter without putting themselves in a position where they'd be an international laughing stock. Yea the pressure is too much on the government, they can't afford to lose these top countries as allies and on the other hand they've got some pride to protect, so it's also very important to pretend they didn't yield to these pressures from their western bosses

So you can see the Twitter + Whitehouse game. Twitter casually reaches out to FG with nothing tangible to discuss actually. Just to give FG some cover to hide the shame while the ban is reversed. Then later FG can lie about an agreement that was signed, new regulations, blah blah blah. Americans will always be 100 steps ahead
What exactly I you saying because this your comment is neither here nor there?

PrinceOfLagos:

You're talking nonsense

Twitter is bigger than that failure you called your president , Buhari.

Today is June 12 and Twitter s only showing Nigerians that they are strongly behind the Nigerian people .

Lol. Only to you because you're part of the brainless and 'herded' indomie generation. Hate Buhari all you want but don't demean his status insinuating twitter, a glorified blog, is bigger than the democratically elected leader of the biggest black nation on Earth and of 210 million people.

Twitter and that pompous nerd that runs it can never be "bigger" than the leaders of the smallest nations in Africa, for those who understand what leadership of a people is, talk less of Buhari.

It is people like you who would proclaim Kim Kardashian greater than all Nigerian women.

Nigeria does not need twitter.

Twitter needs Nigeria.

Don't mind the usual confused hacks and slaves of everything imported and/or Western.

No be so dem take dey use imported religion dey kill, rob and defraud each other?

Abeg how many Nigerians are on Twitter and how many do not even know of it? Which of our major problem does Twitter solve?

When Buhari said Nigerian youths are lazy, he did not lie or malign our youths wrongly. They want to die over Twitter ban yet convening siege on the NASS to enforce constitution review, that will impact their lives positively, is not a priority for them.

You're damn right

Infact you've said it all

One APC dumbass supporter said Twitter begged FG to lift the ban and I laughed at his foolishness .

Twitter beg your clueless government abi it's your government that's looking for ways to hide their shame grin

Twitter is bigger than Buhari, FACT!

Dont say twitter is bigger than Buhari just go straight and say twitter is greater than Nigeria.

It's a solidarity sign.....we move!

This guys out there knew something is not just right with Nigeria and its selfish leaders. How can you explain a country with abundant resources n huge potential cannot take a giant stride or any meaningful development since 1960....we are still talking about creating jobs, good roads, railways, hospitals and steady electricity 50 years after independence!
It's just painful!
