ejanla077: Yes I agree but lack of power supply usually affects regular people in Lagos. Those living in highrises have their own power supply that is separate from the public utilities. |

Grassroots development is the way out of the chaos. People need to go back to their roots, hold the leaders accountable and start the fundamental change from there. |

ejanla077: Yes they do generators but they also use what is called embedded power. Those manufacturing industries that connect to gas networks sell their excess power generation to high end residences at premium. The advantage is more stable electricity for them. 1 Like |

For Igboland to fully develop, nnamdi cownu and his ipooos/Ipob must be destroyed completely. 1 Like 1 Share |

Getting built up is different from development so I go with the OP on his choice of caption which is expansion. Going by our limited landspace we rather not celebrate rapid expansion but real development instead. The way I'm seeing Nigeria it will be difficult for Igbos to achieve real development. |

Abagworo: On individual level, development is happening rapidly and is quite impressive. BUT On societal level, we a lacking so much there. We lack many critical development infrastructures. This is something government typically does in functioning societies but unfortunately we are in Nigeria. So the best way forward now is for us IGBOS to take over infrastructure from the government. That is the only realistic way we can develop while staying in Nigeria. This is the reason why I brought up what SEREDEC is planning to do. 1 Like |

horsepower102: I totally agree with you. The major setback remains convincing diaspora Igbos to believe in Nigeria. A lot of diasporans are extremely wealthy with advanced idea but will never bring it back home cause they don't like the way Nigeria is being run. Look at this guy from diaspora for example who brought a new idea on road construction to his village in Umungasi, Abia State. He is 100% financing it and I'm impressed with the outlook. 7 Likes

horsepower102: True, but many SS states have same gas pipeline but haven't been able to turn it to their advantage. Obj did the lagos-ogun axis gas pipeline which helped turn his state ogun to an industrial hub, Buhari I'd doing the AKK gas pipeline to help industrialize Kano,Abuja and kaduna (that gas pipeline will enter Niger republic one day). The only industrial gas pipeline in the SE was a collaboration between a Eastern government and Shell during the construction of international glass industries Aba. It's very important that the governor of imo use the opportunity of the anoh gas project to deliver gas to industrial Estates in imo, it's also very important Anambra government develop it's massive gas fields. Just as we got tired of waiting for the Federal government to give the East a befitting international airport and began building two , the governor's of the East should pull resources together and get gas pipelines into our cities 1 Like |

heniford2:Ibeto played into the federal government hands, he forgot that Nigeria can never forget whom he is. He has been given the nkalagu cement plant, and for over 4 years now no tangible update. There isn't a cement manufacturing industry in the East today, despite the fact that we had the first in Nigeria. Develope the Nkalagu cement plant and he will have dominance in the East at least 2 Likes |
