From Baga Road market, I retired to my hotel room as I was tired! Till the next day. This is because I was preparing to head to Moungono, Demasak, and Auno, all this are BH enclaves, so I needed to be mentally and emotionally sound.

Need to note that we got to Auno via Jimtilo, about 15km walk in the bush and under the sun. It was mentally draining as everyone was a potential suspects. The sight of seeing military fortifications and being advised to stay on the partway so that you don’t step on a potential mine, made this journey very frustrating but worth it.


After retiring from Auno, I withdrew to my hotel, and concealed all other appointments for the day. I was mentally drained. People are suffering.

In the evening of the ninth, I got a call from someone about logistics. I won’t say it turned out to be a useless trip, but I will say I finally got to eat what I have been longing for........


Dried or fried locust.......but sadly it cost me my Ladies Night Club Outing.


After which I retired to my hotel room, and rested because I was to fly out of Maiduguri by 10am the following day aboard a max arline flight VM......

Let me say something here, in Maiduguri especially during the raining dry season, if you go out by 5am you will think it’s 10am. Very bright

That morning I got a call, that I should as a matter of urgency report to MaFa LGA in Brono. That the price of Beans has crashed drastically. From thirty+ thousand to 27k. The journey to mafa bagan, and I had to return to Maiduguri to catch my flight to Abuja by 10am.

After checking the beans and other stuffs I raced back to the airport to fly back to Abuja which is where am now currently waiting

I am finally back to Abuja...... but my experiences are worth it, in as much this trip cost me 1m In expenses. Also lots of experiences I saw and had (remember when Buratai said BoKo Haram will last for 20 more years?) he might not be wrong anyway. This is a trip of the dreaded Brono..... this is the beauty of The home of peace. I am David Ezeonyekwere.

He was advised to remove the scarf which though common in most arid areas but has become popular among militants cos they use it and cover their faces to evade recognition.
But trust me,you put on a plain trouser and shirt or Jean and polo in the core north,you are already standing out like a sore thumb
