To the glory of God, I have been made a part of an ongoing project in Enugu. The project is being handled by our own engineer Spyder880.

I'm to do the iron works needed in the building. They include standing tank, exterior doors,stair rails, and balcony rails. I will still be constructing a rolling gate at the said site but that will be later though.

Details of the job are

25ft tank stand for six(6) 500 gallons of water. The materials to be used are:

6 by 3 H channel

3 by 1½ H channel

2" angle iron.

The rest of the materials are

1" by 4ft foundation bolt

10mm base plate.

I was mobilized on Wednesday and we're moving to site right now with materials for the standing tank.

Moved around town and familiarized myself with my new environment. Checked out the welders around to see how they work and get friendly with them.

I might be needing their help. Something about working on site is that your tools might fail and you need to fix it. You will be needing a local help to do such

Today,we dug the foundations. By tomorrow,we start casting it.

Enugu soil is the toughest I have seen. Everywhere is stone pebbles

We left the foundation uncompleted yesterday cause the soil there is the hardest anywhere I have worked.

Today, my workers completed it and asked that I let them go home to rest. It wasn't funny at all.

On Monday, work will start on the doors and the casting of the foundation as everything is set for it

I will be doing a total of twenty two (22) doors.

Seventeen (17) will be 4ft wide while five (5) will be 3ft doors

During the course of today, my workers have been able to cut the pipes for the doors. They were able to frame some of them too

my best offer for the doors is 30,000 for 5" frame and 32,000 for 9" frames.

1.5mm 3 by 1½

18 gauge design pan


18 gauge frame

I went back to Enugu to start work on the standing tank.

To ensure that the tank stand is straight thereby ensuring that it can handle the intended weight, I measure and plum it all

By end of work today, the foundation was completed

Meanwhile work is still ongoing on the doors and rails in Nnewi

The doors are completed and awaiting the 9" frames for the hanging.

Starting tomorrow, the frames will be ready and my workers will start hanging them

We're currently moving on to the finishing stage of the doors.
