I do advise you to keep your personal belongings at home or your hotel. There are people who do volunteer to keep that for people outside but I don't think it is advisable |

fairheart:Very good, but I still know that all these information you get from those online websites and blogs were researched by people who took there time and thus making it easier for other people who need the information, Many people have told me that whenever they want to see people's opinions on a particular thing, they type the sentence on Google and add Nairaland to it, same thing I do whenever I want to see Nairalands opinion on any particular US University that I discovered and guess what? The feedbacks has always been amazing, if you keep encouraging people to censor there schools on this forum one of the vital purposes would have been defeated, there's no separate thread for US universities on Nairaland apart from this, it's an online blog/forum were people come to get valid information both on schools and Visa, once your admission and Visa is in the bag, even if one million Nigerians apply to that school it will never have any effect on you, they subsequent encounter with the school/embassy no longer concerns you, the best you can do is to give out the information, everything isn't all about Visa alone, let's be guided please. |

fairheart: ![]() Why don’t you answer my question about proving your credibility of been in ANY school in USA ? I can now see you’re such an educated illiterate man , if truly you’re in any school you won’t ignore what I asked you as I know you are always in hurry to talk, so why are you slowing down in telling us oga which school you Dey ? A day for the thief and a day for the owner as all your evil doing will surely be let out of the bag by obtaining docs from those you claimed to have helped and be using it for your clients. guy you be OLODO RABATA ![]() |

NigPatriot: ![]() You better leave him alone as he has run away from proving his credibility to me either been in any school here or an alumni of any university here in USA. It is obvious he’s an asinine person that lack moral support for humanity rather than to obtain money from people by doing Mr nice man here but he’s taking money from people after he has used the application info of those consulting him to help his clients. He used to reply in hurry so please reply me which school you are in USA and we will find out ![]() The guy is a clone I swear , I am still waiting for him to tell me the school he graduated from or presently studying if truly he’s a credible person. Let us leave the dumb guy alone ![]() |

If truly Mentor Fairheart is in ANY school in USA or been a graduate and doing his OPT/working , he won’t be devoted of been in this forum everyday as not his undying love for people reach that level rather than been an agent who used to obtain docs from those who consult him and edit it for his clients. You can’t be in grad school and still get time of answering or becoming lord of nairaland . If he can prove his credibility that he is in school then I will rest my case, just tell me which school you are and if you can’t tell me here there is a chance of you telling me by DM me I give you that opportunity’s |

The guy doesn't understand how internet search works.... If he does, he wouldn't encourage people censoring the name of their school. What does it sounds like putting up a search and posts on Nairaland pops up? Do you think if the keywords included in the search strings weren't there or censored, (like you encouraged), would the search come up? The entire purpose of the group will be defeated if this culture is encouraged. Twitter folks understand the power of nairaland....want to know more about anything, Nairaland has been undefeated. The guy would even encourage people to go the traditional way of reading Books rather than information being accessed through the internet. When folks picks interest in a school because they saw it from somewhere and apply....Tell me, will everyone fit into the requirements of the school? If they eventually fit in, does it ends at when they're offered admission? They'll definitely still pass through the interview process and the failure to actually do the necessity would be discovered in the process. So, the best you could do is just to keep encouraging people to do their own research and not to encourage folks to hide the name of their schools. So once again.....I'll tell you to drink water, relax and REST! |

Prexy1999:So, let me play with you a little, and at the same time be earnest with you. This is the 6th time you are using "been" in the place of "being" and you are blindly confident enough to question my education and credibility? And I am wondering how you went through a graduate school? You said you just completed your PhD. A Doctorate degree holder that cannot differentiate between been and being? How did you write your thesis? You are just giving me more popularity here. You should rest! I am a mountain that cannot be moved or broken by things without weight. People wey sabi book pass you don try am, they got tired. You are a small boy in the school of thought I belong. You're a dog challenging a lion! I personally love stimulating conversation with people of high education. I will NEVER reply you again. |

Hi Guys, Been very silent on the thread So here is my transcript. Visa approved in Lagos School: UNC Chapel Hill- Kenan Flagler Business School Program: MBA COA: $93k Business School Fellowship: $70k Custom Graduate Loan: $23k I had some worries before the interview: 1. I have once been denied a student visa to Canada and a visiting visa to USA 2. My wife is currently on OPT 3. I took a graduate loan Interview at 8:30am; V.O: Good morning sir Me: Good morning to you. V.O: kindly pass me your I-20 and passport Me: I passed same as requested. V.O: What school are you going to and what course: Me: I am going to the University of North Carolina, at Chapel hill for my masters in business administration V.O: How does this fit into your career plans. Me: I currently have a wealth of experience in the Nigerian banking industry but my career goal in the senior management position is to focus on investment banking, Therefore the MBA program would develop my investment banking skills so I can provide superior investment advise to businesses in my home country who are involved in the development of capital projects. Such projects includes; The Eko Atlantic City, Lagos Light Rail and Lekki Free trade zone V.O: After your MBA, would you be staying with your current company or you plan to move to another firm. Me: I definitely would be returning to my current place of work as I would be taking up a senior management position. My company is currently evolving into a holding structure wherein the investment arm is being set up, hence I will be better positioned with the knowledge gained through the MBA for the investment role V.O: What is your wife doing in the US Me: My wife just got her MBA degree last month from *** and commenced her OPT program which ends in June 2022. After the OPT, She intends to return to Nigeria and take up a middle management role at **** bank which she already interviewed for. She had agreed with her new employer to resume in July 2022 just after her OPT program And then the magical word, I have approved your Visa, blah blah blah. Honestly! I zoned out. Special thanks to God almighty. And many thanks to my wife. @pefuele and @doyinsolar you guys rock. P.S Though I know a lot of people are censoring their school details, but I have tried to be as detailed as possible so it could be of help to MBA aspirants. Especially those in doubt of the acceptability of graduate loan at the embassy. I also learnt so much from this forum. |

olomne:If you see an educated illiterate you can easily identify them like Fairheart . You better leave That guy alone as he has declined to tell us the school he graduated from if he’s truly an educated person not a cloned person who will always be online 24/7 as no grad student in USA can behave like the way he has been doing by telling people to hide schools they’re heading to . |

I feel really bad when I see folks censoring school names;it is very painful. This was not the culture when this thread started in the beginning, back then, the information was just too comprehensive. Thanks to this thread, some of us,prior to joining Nairaland didn't know: That some higher institutions in the US are Red Flags. Some schools exempt us from paying application fees(app fee waivers) Some or if not all schools can process your applications with or without the official documents. You don't always have to pay any down payment before you can receive your I-20 ... I know applicants who have lost a lot of money to heartless agents and I know some others who didn't fall victim to these agents all thanks to uncensored information on this thread. While I totally agree that some of us are lazy but how many of us? The numbers are nothing compared to those of us who would take our time to process and sort all the necessary documents before applying to these schools. Even the "goons" of this thread were at a point novice and what you claim to know today was virtue of those uncensored information on this thread. Let me ask? "What do stand to gain and vice versa if you censor the name of your school? Absolutely nothing and this because aside you,1001 applicants somewhere are already applying to these schools. However,it is your choice to make and we can't force you to do otherwise. But remember, you shouldn't come here asking for help as well because everything you need is on Google. As for the " lazy ones"(as described by the "goons) pls,you can always take you time by doing extra work when and after you decide to apply to a school. I know some of us can't navigate our way around Google, complete the entire admission process, submit the required documents etc., don't be shy,ask questions here. We are here to help ourselves and their is no shame about it. If you are one of those that like to censor information from others pls and pls don't come to "me" asking for help because I won't help. I don't know it all but the little I know is meant for those who key into the philosophy that "we rise by helping others even the " lazy ones". Assuming say some "goons" for here be Jesus that year when in come preach salvation, wetin we call Christians today for no just day. |
