Sometimes, some people just say things because they feel they are have a right but truth is, they will appear wiser keeping quiet.
Honestly, that example is you. U can obviously see that the caption is wrong. He never even mentioned governmental regulation.

The truth is whatever have advantage equally have a disadvantage. If only the present government r not thinking of banning or regulating Twitter for their selfish and wicked reasons it would have been a welcome development. But we can’t trust this present govt judging from what we see n how cared less the media aids are with words.

Hmm I don't agree!! I have gained alot from the internet and I'm not joking
The internet/social media is a two edged sword. You could use it for your gains, another could use it for his destruction.

While one use it to make money, to provide job, search for job, promote his/her business, meet people and share new ideas, learn about happenings and keep abreast with happenings all around the world, some others use the internet to chat watch pornography, watch movies, etc all day, all week all month and a year is lost, some even use it for criminal and drug abuse purposes.

The wrong use/abuse of social media which makes people waste precious time is what he wants regulated.

I strongly disagreed. Social media have exposes alot of secrets. It has has forced each and every one to up our game. It has forced us outside the box. It has exposes me to a world that I didn't know existed. It has opened my eyes to Western politics. It has broadened my mind.

There is no way in hell I will go back to a world without social media. I don't know how the world survive without it.

When people no longer have strong grip over controlling people, they feel threatened.

It's control freaks that would have such ìdeologies seeing that massive amount of people they once had as captives are no longer captives of their ìdeologies and control.

The world will continue to be a free place for people and will never return to an era where people are dominated and controlled people by fiat

It's control freaks that need to develop restraint and control themselves

I agree to some extent to what he says about the flip side of social media. But to censor its use in a liberal society is overkill. It's just straight up communism. And, here, there is no place for that.

I have difficulty processing how Oyedepo will come out Publicly and Say the youths in his church are daft. It's so sad! Who made him a Pastor please?
And you who will want to came after Me for airing My dissention about his misguided utterance simply because he is your pastor, please don't. Because if you do, you will just confirm truly that you are a daft, a punk.

if you cannot honestly see the harm social media has done or is doing to the youth, then u are a gonner.it has done us more harm than good in this part of the world.we basically use it for the wrong purpose. Do you know that even though they are holding a bigger phone than you, some ppl will still ask you basic questions like "wukari is where" when it can easily be googled.

You disagree that social media is making most youths of this generation less productive?
You disagree that social media consumes most of the time of the youths that could have been used instead for productivity viz- work, study, physical socialization, etc?
You disagree that majority of social media users only use it for unproductive and illegal activities?

Yes, there's still a sizeable number of youth that use social media productively, but it's negative impact on the youth of our generation cannot be denied.

Should it be regulated? And to what extent, should be the issue at hand.
