Rochas Okorocha, the Senator representing Imo West, has cautioned the Southeast against their agitations for Nigeria’s breakup.

Okorocha warned that Igbos would be the worst hit if Nigeria breaks up.

The former Imo State Governor spoke in Abuja while addressing some women groups yesterday.

Okorocha stressed that the Southeast should push towards fixing the country and not its disintegration.

The lawmaker stressed that Igbos are nationalistic in nature, hence they should dismiss the urge for Nigeria’s disintegration.

He said: “It is only an Igbo man that goes to a place and remains put in that place, buys a land and builds a house for his family without feeling insecure. The Igbo’s will lose more if Nigeria divides.

“Most Nigerian leaders who were successful had one thing or the other to do with the Igbos. It is either they married Igbo women or had some links with them. I can call names like, former President, Obasanjo; former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, Buba Marwa, just to name a few”.

Southeast groups like the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, and the Movement for the Actualization of Sovereignty State of Biafra, MASSOB, have been agitating for the disintegration of Nigeria.

IPOB led by Nnamdi Kanu has been in the forefront, calling for Biafra’s actualization.

grin grin ipob are what we euphemistically refer to as "village people" they are envious of their successful kinsmen who have arrived and want to level them to their level by bringing them back home to suffer the same penury of eating groundnut and sugarcane.

Yes he will say that, until an Igboman tries to run for the presidency of Nigeria. That's when he will realise that Nigeria is not really our home.

Now that it is clear it is the turn of the Igbos to occupy the presidency, your so called fellow Nigerians have abandoned zoning to the southeast.

If Igbos will loose more, yorubas and hausafulanis would have join hand and push Igbos out of Nigeria.

They didn't fought Igbos for three year because they love Igbos and don't want them to loose.

Fact.

They should continue to pursue national integration when they are not wanted by other tribes? When they are relegated and regarded as second claws citizens, who can't n trustedto hold top political offices?

After the party conventions of 2022, we shall see the new song this igbo politicians will be singing!

One thing i like about okorocha is the fact that he always says the truth, he has said it, the reason many ibo leaders are not supporting disintegration is because of money they will lose, we don't have selfless leaders.

how is it that it is the turn of Igbo to rule, where did you get that from? you just sit there and say its Igbo turn to rule and expect that Nigeria will follow the instruction. You have to come out and work for it ,convince other tribes that you are a good choice. We have more than 400 tribes in Nigeria and majority have not ruled. Igbo had ruled 3 times in the past. The first military ruler who introduced military rule and dictatorship in Nigeria was an Igbo man. If it is turn by turn thing then Igbo will have to wait for its turn ,let it go round through others that have not ruled. You think by engaging in ESN/unknown gunmen will give you presidency? you people must be kidding

He is correct.
The Igbos will lose more if Nigeria breaks up.
They will lose all their haters,
They will lose the herdsmen destroying their farms,
They will lose the slavemaster that has chained them all the while.

They will not only lose, they will be loosened from bondage to compete with their peer nations of Taiwan, China and Singapore.

- Our Aba-made shoes will compete with that of the Italians.
- Our 'Awka-made' will compete with the English pistols,
- Our Akwete Fabrics will compete with Cashmere from Mongolia.
- Our Innoson cars will compete with South Korea's Kia.
- Our 042 area code will be more famous than California's 213.
- Our Ogbunigwe will make the Russians look like learners in explosives.

They know this and that's why the average Southerner doesn't like the Igbo. It is not because they hate us, but because they feel inferior when they think about us.

Igbo bu Igbo.
Just like the Jews excel by default, so do the Igbos and it explains why people who aim to succeed in life always try to get entangled with our men and our women so as to attain success via soul-ties.
If you doubt me, ask FFK, ask Davido, then ask Kerry Washington.

Look like the new tactics is to organize federal Nigeria surrogates in the south east to say stupid things about the igbo in order to validate Nigerias position on the unity of the country. For how long will this type of predictable game subsist?

Who told you it's the turn of Igbos to rule?
What about the Ibibios?
The Igbos have ruled Nigeria before but the Ibibios haven't, yet the Ibibios are the highest producer of crude oil in Nigeria.
What about the Efiks?
What about the Ogoja people?
What about the Bini people?
The problem with you Igbos is that you believe Nigeria owes you.
Have you heard other tribes complaining so much?
Does it mean the Ibibio people have no right to rule Nigeria?

They are not wanted but they are everywhere even in villages far from SE doing business and living their dreams.

Keep fooling yourselves, leading a country is not a right but a privilege the people of the country bestow upon a person. Hausas are the majority in this country and till date they have not ruled, you never see them call Nigerians names because of that.

They don't know what slavery means but use it to emotionally manipulate their people into hate and wickedness.

This is how because of cownu emotional manipulations; a man murdered his father because he didn't support ipob henious agenda.

They say people hate them yet the same people allow them to live next to them, grow economically and even purchase land from them something very hard to get in the East, all these lies to keep a fascade of persecution and victimhood.

You mean we'll loose more than the lives we're losing at the moment at the hands of Buhari and his ethnic militias?

He's talking bullshit! Just what exactly is it that we will loose over and above what others would loose? The breakup will have to be negotiated, and this will be in the best interests of EVERYONE, if not the bigoted and hateful fools looking to 'deal with the nyamurees' would find themselves holding the short end of the stick and loosing even more than they bargained for! We can argue this if anyone wants!
