How are you guys managing MIUI killing VPN apps in the background?

I've tried the normal tweaks like removing from battery saver and locking in memory, it's still disconnecting and killing the apps.

Since they removed MIUI optimization from developer options this has been a headache

From what I know the current version. V12 5.3 have reduced the drain to an acceptable level. If you haven't updated please do.

And from your battery chart you have an irregular charge cycle. Try to maintain a proper charge cycle for your battery health.

I slept off with my VPN and met it alive. And I didn't lock it in memory neither did I do the keeping the VPN always on.

If you experiencing that go to VPN in Settings and click on the setting icon of the particular VPN and keep it always on(Note: I didn't do any of this and mine is always working).

As for MIUI optimization it is not removed only hidden in some phones. Click reset to default values in developer option.

My RN8 battery also drains without operating it. Most especially when I sleep at night.

My biggest headache is that my phone call log lags too much. Making calls is headache cause it wastes time to show the sim you should select from

How old is your phone?

As for the call thing clear your phone app cache.

I just updated my Xiaomi redmi note 9 pro to the latest Xiaomi version 12.0.1 and I don't like this version. Nowhere to transfer screenshot from second space to first space. I only saw where to move apps between space.

How do I move image files or screenshots from second space to first space for this new version update?

Did the battery run down? Leave it to charge for around 30 minutes before attempting to turn it on. You may need to try out another charger and cord.

Thanks bro. You've always been helpful right from time.
I've tried that as well, it's not working. Keeps vibrating each time I power but does't come up. I'm kinda clueless rn.

There is something I use to give a thought to in all these electronic gadgets; I think the lifespan of a battery depends on our charging and usuage behavior and there is this thing that when an electronic gadget is introduced, during the advertising period, that is, when they are still trying to gain awareness into any new market most of their gadgets are carefully made and the standards are held high but once customers start to flood everywhere especially during scarcity, these companies will start to mix substandard materials to meet up with demands, sometimes those with hardware issues will be targeted during update as to use software to fix the issue, all they want is for the phone to be in your hand and your money in their pocket.
This is my personal opinion and I stand to be corrected.

You're correct.
That's why you'll have different people using same phone, running same software, yet a section will be experiencing a specific hardware issue, whereas others ain't.
Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by Nobody: 8:38am On Jun 23, 2021
Sometimes I think that the best thing to do is this : if your phone ain't having issues, then don't update to any so called latest firmware, especially if the phone already have successors.
Theses smartphone industries most times ship in software updates that affects old phones over time, especially the battery life and some other areas, so you'll need to upgrade.

These is so untrue. So I should miss out on new features because of this ideology.

My RN5 is still with me and it is running on MIUI 12 no issues.

Now if I apply your ideology on my RN10 Pro when I got it, it means I would miss out on Dolby Atmos because my phone has no issues.

Or people currently using floating windows wouldn't get to use it because nothing was wrong with the firmware their phone was running.

I don't buy your ideology, it is greatly flawed.

Definitely, there's always updated and new features. That's the idea of it. To lure you in, but if that phone was supposed to go strong for 5 yrs, it's gonna get weak before 3.

Anyway, that's just my personal opinion shaa

There is hardly any phone hardware that can keep up with changes in software builds 5 years later except you decide to never update the apps available within the first two years of your usage which is impossible.

Sometimes, I leave my VPN on for up to 12 hours without it disconnecting. The problem could be from your VPN itself. Before coming to a conclusion, try other VPNs.

Good morning to u all I just bought a new redmi note 10. I can say it has been a seamless experience, but I'm having this particular issue whenever I'm using another app let's say Twitter the screen will suddenly go blank and then the screen will on back again showing my phone homepage. Though this doesn't happen all the time, but it makes me worried
