The urge for you to clapback block your head...failing to see that I was the one that made the first critic about your security apparatus... Oga, your president came out on air and said they have stolen my ipad....Think!!!!!! It means they have been moving his things on a daily...
The last nonsense you spew saying we are not even your match... Couldn't agree more
You the one who's not thinking. Do you think a president intent on attracting investment, at the unveiling of a new company, will publicly prove that crime is indeed a problem in SA? He's just clearly making small talk until his device is brought him. He's clearly joking and the audience knows it, hence the chuckling in the background. Don't be misled by the news headlines - this is just a light-hearted news piece for the media.

Clearly u haven't watched the video.

I'm talking politically. You see how we not even on the same page.
Ok. Politically, we've done very badly and I must concede that currently you guys are doing better than us but make no mistake, we will get it right and our true potential will come out for all to see. However, South Africa seems to be sliding down the doldrums and if care isn't taken, you may find yourselves trapped in the very mess we've entangled ourselves (God forbid).
If you want to understand the Nigerian political quagmire, you may have to study the history and politics of the old Sudan. That's the closest to the Nigerian politics you can ever find. Our problem is a very long one and for the first time, young Nigerians especially from the South are beginning to understand the real enormity of our problem. It's not a funny matter.

It's good to try and save face but the countenance of the president is anything other than someone trying to catch some fun. If in truth he was so good as to perfect the act while joking, then that would be insensitive of him to joke with such a crime at such a crucial gathering.
The deed has been done and all must learn from it. The TV crew should at least have muted it until the coast is clear. I didn't find it funny at all. Who knows what might have been done to the device in the brief moments of its disappearance? Most likely, it has been compromised and should be changed.

Okay, will read up on the old Sudan.

Today's problems in SA are the after effects of the Zuma years - so it's not surprising. Most of us always knew there was hidden rot and that's why he had to go. They spent a lot of money to hide the truth, such as spending too much on the already expensive alternative of using diesel to keep the lights on, instead of cheap coal and maintaining the infrastructure. The current administration says that's unsustainable and carrying out long overdue maintenance, that's why there are power cuts.

Zuma kept bailing out failing state enterprises but only for the purposes of patronage. That has been stopped and there's now restructuring, that's why things look like they are going down coz u don't see SAA flying anymore. But SAA was a drain on the fiscus that only benefited Zuma and his girlfriend, and the Gupta's. So we're saving money while partly privatizing the airline.

We are on a recovery path and shutting down the gravy train - the worst is behind us.

The complain about Igbos are mostly blown out of proportion. You may not understand but if you can ask a less biased person about them, you'll get a much better remark. It's not my intention to fool you. Just stating the truth.
Now let's get some understanding here about your claims on South Africa. In what area are you guys unmatched in Africa? State them clearly let me respond accordingly.

Some media are still trying to figure out what really happened - if it really was stolen coz we all understand the severity of the situation if indeed it was crime related. But for now the official statement is that it was not.

SA doesn't hide the truth, so no need to cut off the broadcast because it makes the President look bad.

It's not bragging when I state the obvious that when it comes to intellectual capacity, Nigeria is rated ahead of South Africa. This is what my reference to our intelligent ones leaving the country and doing very well outside goes towards. Do not use the shitty nature of Nigeria currently to judge the average Nigerian because there's something fundamentally wrong with our politics. A lot of our young people just realized it starting from last year. We will solve that problem and emerge better and stronger and you won't have anything to use against us anymore.

I have been to SA, and i can say its beautiful but the youths are so wayward. Stealing in a broad day light on companies trucks, you dare not move around in the night ITA boys will use bricks and burst your brain. Heist is the order of the day. In the flight SA airways, their was this group of boys that came for MTN engineering maintenance, they were just making noise the said flight, even the SA flight attendant spoke calmly to them, they blasted him in Zulu and said 'We are living this fucking Nigeria' a country that hosted and they came for work visit.
They are not just 'TOXIC'. I was not even allowed to take a picture at the airport when i arrived their country. (their overall prophet, the stylist pastor banner was at the entrance) i wanted to snap they said no snapping.
But all in all they are not good to strangers/foreigners.. White i don't know for; any way's! cos they are the most that drive cool rides over their.

Crime started even before anyone was born. Here in Nigeria you dare not steal from a moving truck, even dangote truck that engage in accident, either the truck will be burnt with consignment. something must have gone wrong before such incident. But in SA its a tradition. they confidently climb the truck and loot.... broad daylight i saw this, not in news real life story. every other persons were going their normal way. some where even running. try am for 9JA. Una get beta system u dey form TOXIC. E no fit una period.

you are just bringing up baseless facts. like i said something must have gone wrong, u have reading issues, read and understand simple comprehension. South African half cast that you brothers send to France for model and turn prostitution, u record highest in HIV in the world to many adultery in your country, even in the hotel i lodge around kempton every day na married man go burst him wife. What da Bleep. Even Sarah the receptionist told me that they are having bad market cos of informants. hotel i pay 500 rands per night hmm.

Taa shatUp... I didnt spend 1 week in that country, The Toxic nature especially their Black watermelon head Men won't give you any reason to request for PR except you are illegal, schooling they have good pilot schools which will give u PR. Respect your Mother Heritage you Jinx

TRY LEAVE YOUR COUNTRY AND START A TRIP WITH BENIN, TOGO, CAMEROON, UGANADA, ETHIOPIA, AND HAVE TRAVEL HISTORY.
NMW WILL SURPRISE YOU.
Forget all this long gist my friend!

See, if Nigeria is that manageable,we should be having SA trooping to Nigeria for GP which in this case is in the reverse.

Talking about boys stealing truckload in daylight in SA,pls don't even go there. Don't!

Enlighten me if I'm wrong;
When you where there did you find their policemen harassing Motorist in daylight on daily basis in the name of bribe?
Do you even know the effect of this Treasonable act? I guess you don't. And that's the reason you shouldn't be making that kind of comparison.

And by the way, comparing Nigeria with Togo,Benin and the rest is not a clever one. That's an insult to the cyche of the few patriotic Nigerians .
Patriotism is not by defending the obvious. It's by acknowledging the fact, the ills , and making frantic effort to correct them for the benefit of the people.

Let me say this again,
The current Nigeria leadership (from Top to Bottom ) are bunch of CRIMINALS WHO HAVE NO CLUE OF HOW A DECENT SOCIETY IS RUN.
They're currently destroying this Nation and the life of millions of young people who deserve a stable life.

THIS COUNTRY IS A FVCKING SH!THOLE

You dont need to explain, any reasonable person knows that President Ramaphosa was joking, some Nigerian here taking it serious and insulting are those causing trouble, trading drugs ,scamming people and crime in south africa that your people are reacting throuh xenophobic and so on.Majority of them are Igbo people , it is not just south africa ,there are also having issues in Ghana and all over africa and the world . We from northern part of Nigeria we are not saints,we have our problems and challenges but you can't see us going to other people's countries causing problems here and there not respecting their laws, scamming people ,trading drugs and all that.

Ok impressive but I could only single out 5 strong points and they are points 1, 7, 8, 10 and 12. The rest do not have enough punch to be counted. Examples are like the lack of retaliation for xenophobia. What retaliation were you expecting outside the destruction of South African businesses in Nigeria? Do you expect Nigerians to attack you consulate and the South Africans there? You can't expect the Nigerian government to lash out on your country because your government has not claimed to support the xenophobia done by her misguided citizens. Other weak points like saying that Nigeria rules in the music industry but most of her best production comes from South Africa is not a point. In fact, the point should go to Nigeria. Is it the various political positions South Africans managed to get on the continent recently that you even count as points? I could so many political positions Nigeria have occupied in Africa that will dwarf those you listed. If you must list a point based on contested official position, let it be based on intellectual success or talent of the person involved. We all know Black Mambazo and their achievements. This is what a point should be.
I agree that South Africa's infrastructure could be the best in Africa but we all know it's not entirely/ not even 50% done by black South Africans but I'll still count it for you. So, only 6 points is what you have now. I'll have to bring my own points to counter them. Let me google them because I'm not usually into this sort of competition. Will be back before evening.

LMFAO, if Nigerians were indeed intelligent we would see that translated into how well the average Nigerian lives. How law abiding they are , how well they take care of their neighbourhoods ,and how well they manage their own institutions. You can't be living in a dumpsite & be bragging about being smart...someone like that is actually ....a nutcase ......a delusional schcizo that needs to be institutionalised asap grin. You can't be tribalists and people that carry religion on their heads ,and still claim intelligence grin grin. You migrate a lot,so you'll surely have more successful people abroad than most Africans, the same way you have more citizens in prison than any other African group abroad. Yes, there are brilliant Nigerians out there, but I wouldn't call the average Nigerian smart judging by the way Nigeria is . Intelligent people don't drink water laced with faeces. Smart people dont shyt in the open in 2021. Smart people cannot have 70% of their own people drowning in extreme poverty.

We have thousands of your people in our prisons, show me one South African criminal in your custody , just one case ?
Just because we don't publicly publish list of inmates online doesn't mean thousands of your criminals are not locked up somewhere in Nigeria begging to return to South Africa.

Let me school you a little South African ingrates, Did your parents ever told you monies were deducted from thousands of civil servants in Nigeria to help your helpless South African brothers and sisters during the Apartheid?

Did your parents tell you the role Nigeria played to liberate your sorry ass country from your white masters? Did they?

If not for Nigeria your sorry ass would be begging your white masters permission to use a smartphone, infact, only your white masters would have access to smartphones.

If after all Nigeria did for your country during your dark days you still talk dirty about Nigerians then you are mentally deranged.

We played a big brother role to you ungrateful idiots and history can never be erased even if it is deliberately not taught in your schools.

Your sorry ass lazy black brothers and sisters still can't survive without your white masters, that's why you commit the most crimes in your country, you are so lazy foreigners take your jobs cuz all you think of is sex, majority of you black South Africans have AIDS, why not? South Africans on their part have a relatively stable leadership status hence they rarely travel so why the Toxicity in them?
SMH

@Seniorwriter
Oga don't stress yourself over their matter!

Apartheid made them to be toxic. They cultivated that trait for many years and it became “genetically formed.” This was passed on to their children.

Since foreigners oppressed them in their land during Apartheid era, they see foreigners as threat after they had their freedom up to today, hence the toxic behaviour.

Who's sounding like a victim? The deplorable nature of Nigeria doesn't define the average Nigerian. Since you want us to dwell on the shitty side of our countries, I'll oblige you.
First of all, stealing is a general thing among South Africans such that it's hardly regarded as a crime. Your president just confirmed it.
But young and old; male and female and all categories of people don't see stealing as a crime.
Violent deaths and rape is another national malaise there. South Africa is the indisputable rape capital of the world. I'm almost certain that as I'm typing right now, at least 3 people are being raped. Statistically speaking, over 40% of SA females have been raped at one point in the lives. Do you dispute it?
The level of hate among you is so high that you can barely trust each other. This is the reason for the violent killings that cuts across the black neighbourhoods. This is not to even talk about the street criminals that are regarded are celebrated. What's the source of money of an average South African outside their jobs( whether government or private employment)? Crime based. They rarely do genuine business.
Don't your own people shytte in the open? How many of your corrugated iron sheets houses have toilets? What's the percentage of black south Africans that live in such unsanitary structures? Do you want me to request for pictures? Is it all your people that have access to good water for drinking? Don't come here to pose as though all is well over there. Some of us know better.
Nigeria as agreed by all Nigerians is in a very terrible shape and we hate such a condition which is why we speak openly about them. We are currently doing things to change the situation because we know our capability and true potential. The stinking nature of Nigeria doesn't define our true intellect but for you guys, it will be a miracle if even maintain status quo in the next 20yrs. It was hard work that built SA which is lacking in the present people I saw few years back. Laziness can't sustain what SA is currently.

You're somewhat correct but I think the older ones are less toxic. You see the younger ones(less than 45), they are very much more toxic. They don't know it's themselves they're doing because it's them that will likely travel out of their country for one reason or the other.
