Long Post Alert:

Talk about being happy, today is one of the happiest days of my past one year.

A year and six days after my first visa application (AOR June 16, 2020), I finally got PPR on my second application (AOR: Feb 26).

I have been looking forward to your story....
Checked your post couple of times.

Your story is truly inspiring.....

Congratulations! More wins.

Congratulations LadyBlaq!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and congratulations to everyone who have received their PPR. I am so happy for everyone. For those of us still on the journey, let us persevere in faith and trust God to complete that which He has started.

I also implore all of us to celebrate even the most little accomplishments. I posted that we had finally gotten admission into University of Regina after 4months+ of waiting and not a single congratulations from anyone. We only congratulate those who got PPR. Let us celebrate every the little victories.

Godspeed to us all.

I had one "F" in my transcript. I was able to secure two admissions in two different universities in Canada. I am expecting the third one soon... Also I have second class lower.

Pls which course are you going for in Canada. Also which schools granted you admission?

Congratulations!!! Witnessing the joy of others makes me really happy. After going through your posts and GCMS notes last night, I’m so happy that your wait has yielded a positive decision.

Congratulations once again and good luck with your studies and other future endeavors.

Congratulations on your wife’s admission. Yes, getting admitted isn’t easy and it is worth rejoicing. I remember being on cloud 9 for an entire week after getting an admission letter from McGill.

I guess the reason why many ppl didn’t respond was because this is a visa thread and not an admission thread. Most of the ppl here already have some sort of admission. Either way, you’re right. The little wins also need to be celebrated. May God perfect the rest of the journey for you and your family.

Aside from the consent letter, how do I convince the visa officer of my home ties? What should I include, to serve as strong home ties?

What I have now are:

Family pictures, landed properties, family members' birth certificates, mother has a government job in the university, parents poultry and fish farm (lol, I don't know if that's helpful), mother's supermarket, etc. Should all this be written in a separate letter?

What more can help to strengthen it?

Is Study plan the same as statement of purpose?

Thank you.

This IMM form where Family Information is Input, is there need to upload any information to prove that you have those people? Like their Birth Certificate or National ID card? Is it necessary?

God be praised now & forever.

PPR landed this morning.
I have been a silent reader, came here after my first refusal.
I want to thank all the Gurus in the house and everyone on this platform - who is either here to provide solutions or voice their challenges.
I have learnt so much from you all & God bless you.

Those who are still expectant, keep praying, activate your faith & get your GCMS notes as applicable.

God will do it for us all because it must surely end in praise.
I will post my timeline later.

Incoming student @MUN

Can I order for my GCMS notes even before the final decision made?
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 19 by BaaleOfOntario: 1:41pm On Jun 24, 2021

Depends on when you applied. If your application have exceeded a certain period (i.e between 8 to 12 weeks) request for it to see what has been done on your application.

Hi Anon I thought we could order for the gcms in order to check if the VO has some concerns about our application so we can address it before a decision is made

It depends. The pros of ordering a GCMS outweighs the cost (which is about ₦5K).

If your application has been upto 8 weeks and there is no update, ordering for GCMS is logical. The GCMS will arrive after 4 weeks when the application would have clocked 12 weeks.
