Pls guys i need urgent advice, i just got my transcript from school and noticed so many errors, my date of birth which is 24 july 1992 was written as 25 july 1992, also my cgpa on the transcript is second class lower while my degree certificate is carrying second class upper, i was about applying for admision when i noticed al these, wil this be an issue, what do u guys think, and am not even in nigeria now to be able to go back to school and complain, can i go ahead and apply with the transcrip like that, am tinking of swearing affidavit for the date of birth issue. Any advice pls

How incompetent Nigeria system is. It's annoying and terrifying.

I think this has to be rectified first.

I had similar issues when I was chasing admission in Germany, CA and Netherlands. It wasn't honoured.

Only UK universities gave me admission.

Please escalate this to your school. And I feel if you even get admission with this in Canada, at visa application there might be some issues.

Pinkey2021:

Hello @Lekiboboe from my understanding, normal Study Permit does not come with a work permit but rather an “authorization to work.”

That’s why it is written something like “permitted to work for 20/hrs per week during study session...” So, it’s not a work permit.

However, if your program comes with a CO-OP component, you’ll be issued with a separate Open Work Permit, in addition to the usual 20/hrs weekly authorization to work.

So yes, I’ll be getting both.

And the good thing about the co-op course is that the second semester when my co-op is expected to start, I’ll be working full 40hrs during school session (this is basically because the co-op program is essential to my studies). in addition to utilizing the 20/hr weekly authorization to work.

Thanks for the enlightenment , Well-Appreciated

I understood that. However, due to lack of understanding, I contacted an agent and now I am still doing the same thing. So essentially, what I'm applying for is student visa/permit. This will be what an agent will do right?

Yes.

Both are like a coin with two faces!

Yes, what you are about to apply for is student visa/permit.

I presume you already have been accepted into a designated learning institute, and you have accepted the offer of admission by the DLI.

Which of the gcms did you ordered?

I used GCMSBuddy, although they seem to be more pricey than others? But I’m familiar with them cos they’re the same people I used last year. They delivered my notes in exactly 29days or so.

I heard that gcmsonline has a good turnaround too, and they’re cost effective.

I'm throwing my weight 100% behind this suggestion.

EmeeNaka:
Get letter of Sponsorship or affidavit of Sponsorship from all the people sponsoring you. That's how their account statements you sent will make sense. Then while forwarding this Webform, explain in details how much they plan to contribute. That same amount they plan to contribute will also be stated in their Sponsorship letters, that's how they will weigh their contribution plan to the amount they have in their account and in assets.
There is no complexity in the application, because you're not making any changes, you're just adding documents to buttress what you already sent.

Must one also make withdrawals? Or just regular deposits are fine? Does turnover matter?
shupy:

As long as it's a lump sum deposit, there will always be concern about your genuine access to the fund. You either have to make the deposit smartly or address the possible concern regarding the lump sum.

To my knowledge, you can't retrieve a revoked GCkey!!! If it is possible, it going to be a long procedure!

This man smart. I feel he played a smart one. You can quickly create an account and revoke it as well as share the details with you.

Please just leave this man. He didn't do nada!!

Please confirm if you can defer your admission to buy more time so you can put in another application.
It is well, our people can be funny heen

10k CAD for living expenses for a year.

Your tuition fee which is a function of your choice of course, duration, school and province - 13-18k CAD.

You need around 25k to 30k CAD.

The naira equivalent is around 8m - 10m. The least I have seen is 6m which are universities or colleges around the north Atlantic of Canada.

Please note that this could be higher or lesser depending so some contingent factors. However, with that amount, you are good.

I just registered an account on the IRCC website. I selected the option that I haven't done medicals by an approved physician. I have some documents to upload. Do I just do the medicals in an approved hospital, or will I receive notification from them?

How do I upload my printed documents. Should I take pictures of them and upload?

What document should suffice for proof of funds? Bank statements? Aren't those rather long and too tedious to be uploaded? Any ideas?

CC Thaiy ekulu77 Mofolam Shupy and any others.

* You can can do upfront medicals at any point in time

* Use a mobile app scanner to snap image.
* Proof of funds include
i. MyBankStatement Certificate.
ii. Sponsorship letter
iii. Business/Company documents
iv. Any other documents that shows sponsor is well established
NB. All must be combined as one pdf file. Same goes for other upload section.

Regular deposit are fine. There's no rule about withdrawal but a VO might have concern if funds are not held for long periods or regular low balances.

Please if you sent me an email, can I plead with you to give me till Monday to respond please?

I took my first dose of the Covid vaccine yesterday, and my, I’m knocked down with chills, fever and body aches. I was warned that it’ll happen on the second day but I had no idea I’d feel this way.

So yeah, I’m back in bed now. Plus this cold weather is not helping matters too sad

I just had to quickly hop in and share my testimony/timeline.

I’ll respond to your emails and try within my ability to help out where I can.
