Thank you very much @bellong
bellong:

No, don't keep them out of the application. The process to apply for spousal visa is strenuous and more expensive aside that it takes very long time except you are very lucky.

They don't have to go with you once visa is approved, only have to activate the visa on or before the deadline for arrival day.

Whatever you do, don't leave them out of your application.

Just got my IELTS result today.

Reading: 9
Listening: 8
Speaking: 7
Writing: 6.5
Overall: 7.5

The last two broke my heart and they happen to be the ones I was most confident of having a high score. Just applied for a remarking.

Good day great people. Please, I need expert opinion on achieving this Australia thing. I plan on applying for visa class 189, ECONOMIST. The points calculator churned out 70points. I have most of the necessary documents ready except for my transcripts which I plan to get my school to send ASAP.
Age- 26, Single
English test result- LRWS 8.5 8 6.5 7 (this is 0 from all I’ve read here)
Educational qualifications- BSc Economics & Development Studies
Awarding University- FUOYE
Occupation- Banking
Job title- Enterprise Risk Officer (focusing more on Credit Risk)
Years of experience- 3
What are my chances here? I appreciate your prompt feedback.

My advice for you is to take the IELTS test again and aim for a minimum of 7 for each.
Check the occupation list if your profession is listed.

Good morning house. Please how much is the exchange rate for Australian dollars(using debit card). Can anybody in Australia give an advice on pharmacy practice over there. Is it worth it going through the hassles of the licensing processes from Nigeria or i should just nominate as a pharmacy technician.

Hello house,

I currently work for a company based in Australia remotely close to a year now. Am in the IT sector.

The Manager once told me they secured PR for a Nigerian that was before the whole Covid issue.

I have plans to relocate with my family and have been considering Canada or Australia but my wife is concerned about the distance...
doesn't want to stay too far from her family.

As guy man, am just looking for the easiest route. Will my experience with this Australia company make things easy for me?

Or better still if the company decides to assist with the PR, what would be left of me to do here in Nigeria?

Thanks for your anticipated response.

Please clarify your question.

Are you asking if you should proceed with Canada or Australia? Or you need assistance with making up your mind?

Thanks for your response Ozone.
My question is if am to go ahead with the Australia PR and the company I work with decides to help me with the PR... would I stand a better chance of securing the Australia PR.

If they are helping you out with PR then you have nothing to worry about.

If you are applying yourself as an IT person you always have a good chance of getting it. Lots of IT skills are on the list.

If the company is in other states but Sydney you have more chances for regional nomination as you already have a job in that state.

Your assessment body is Engineers Australia. First, you need to take your English test. I will suggest you go for PTE.

After getting your results, proceed to assess your qualifications and experience with EA.

Visit www.anzscosearch.com to register.

Type in your occupation on the search bar, it will show you EA and their website address. Assess the website to read up the process and register with them.

You will write a CDR which you will submit to EA.

That's the assessment fee. You only pay for assessment fee. CDR is just a demonstration of your competency (Competency demonstration report). It doesn't have its own separate fee.

Look through the thread, you will see links to materials on how to write your CDR. It is just like those Engineering lab reports done in 300 level to 400 level. That's the format you will apply to write it. But you can make use of your IT report, Final year project to write the CDR.

It's not difficult. Just make sure you personalize everything. I did this, I did that. I use this to obtain this and got this. That kinda format.

Here is link to those materials:

Visit www.engineersaustralia.org.au for your assessment as an engr

That's the site for assessing engineers.

Regarding this, You will have to be an Australian citizen, a temporary visa holder,a student with work right or on a working holiday visa.
For the working holiday visa, there are selected countries that can apply, unfortunately, no country in Africa, Nigeria inclusive is eligible.
So sorry it may not be possible.
Check this link https://www.dese.gov.au/harvest-trail/agmove

You can still live, work and study in Australia without going thru the AgMove. Though it's expensive but it's 100% possible.

Hi guys, what could be possibly done for a 494 holder to transition to 190 (not 191). The holder has used less than 3yrs (used 1 and half ) and a state has agreed to approve to nominate for 190. The state later sent an unofficial message asking if there's anything to be done that can make the 494 holder eligible for the 190. Everything the state needed for the 190 has been cross-checked and they have finalized that to be perfectly okay. Please help
