fatima04: i thought we hammered on the bolded in the past. sometimes its cheaper to just buy a new car rather than do some repairs. Plus you will be paying for the car repairs, i am sure the neighbour was given a replacement/rental vehicle while his car was in the shop, you will be paying for that too. And all these shops know how to delay repairs and inflate figuresnespecially when insurance companies is involved. |

fatima04: Sorry to hear this.. Getting a lawyer involved will cause more harm than good. It’s best your brother seats down with the insurance company and workout something. He might end up not paying the entire 10k. If it goes to court he’ll have to pay there cost as well as his legal fees if he doesn’t win. I don’t see any grounds for argument wit the insurance company. Just try negotiate and ask them to reduce the price. And set up a payment plan. That’s the only way out I think. But I might be wrong |

Pls I want to enquire on an urgent matter. If a UK resident or citizen invites a family relative/relation that is currently in Ukraine to come over to the UK with an invitation letter, can one apply for a UK visiting visa based on this reason? Does an invitation letter from a UK citizen boost or improve the chances of the relative in getting a UK visiting visa while in Ukraine? And does the UK embassies accept and acknowledge invitation letters written by their own citizens that invites a visa applicant abroad to travel to Britain? What is the duration period or How long does it take to obtain a UK visiting visa from the moment u applied for the visiting visa? |

Please I want to make enquiries regarding application for masters in UK. I recently graduated from Ukraine and I have begun application for masters. After I have gained admission from a university in UK; -what type of visa do I apply for? -how long would it take the embassy to provide the visa, as my stay in Ukraine will expire soon -would it be possible to get invited to UK by a resident/citizen of UK, then upgrade my visiting visa to a study visa (based on the admission granted by the university) from within the UK? -what would be the process of upgrading a visiting visa to a study visa while in the UK? I really appreciate any help you can provide. |

Ziik123:Your best bet is to ask here. https://www.nairaland.com/6331164/uk-student-visa-tier-4/523 You need a tier 4 (Student visa) From what I know, the UKBA website has an estimate of the visa application timeline based on your application location. I don't think you can change from a visitors visa to a student visa. 2 Likes |

fatima04: We have trashed some points here numerous times....... I have emphasized topics about insurance vs licence validity........ The insurance company simply made his insurance policy, null & void....... I personally think the horse already bolted....... If he is meant to pay the bill, he should request the invoices of repair.......... I feel would be a difficult battle, but worth a fight...... They would state ignorance is not an excuse ...... Was his neighbour in the car, during the accident? If the neighbour was, a possible whiplash claim might still be added/already added...... NB : A couple of years ago, after a shift at Kent & Sussex hospital, got to my car hopped in, drove down the road, I could hear a flap at the back of my car....... Unbeknown to me, the lady that parked behind me, rammed my rear mercilessly....... Luckily for me, I saw them walking away from their car (about 4 of them)...... I accosted them, the lady admitted hitting me, we exchanged details (took pictures etc etc)......... Lady got home, explained to her father...... Story changed..... She denied responsibilities....... My insurance company already gave me a courtesy vehicle, so I no send (that's why I pay insurance) (it's their battle)...... I drove this courtesy vehicle for 11 month's, YES 11 month's........ Bill was over £22,000..... War started, it eventually ended in court.... My vehicle was written off and judgement was got against the other insurance company (they had to pay that bill)....... 1 Like |
