I have been hearing about TB Test and I felt like I might be missing valid information. Is there a duration of time it takes for TB Test to be done or completed? Pls Is it a compulsory test for all international students to present? Pls is the TB test a condition for student visa or university admission? Is it demanded for based on the university u apply to? Can someone enlighten me on this? |

Good Morning. This is past 12 mid night here in Nigeria. Please this question is for those that have studied Nursing in the UK or have little knowledge about life as a Nursing student in the UK. Please I know that MSc Nursing (2yrs Pre-Registration) in UK is quite expensive in terms of Tution. I also hear students are allowed to work 20hrs a week. But my question is **Can a Nursing student use that 20hrs per week work to pay and complete Tution fees for the 2yrs duration. **Can the 20hrs per week work cater for Clinical Posting Transport cos I hear that the worst thing is to do Clinicals at a far place where you would be spending so much on transport which can be affecting your finances. This is unlike other M.Sc programs that doesn't require any sort of travel postings **Can the 20hrs per week work also cater for Feeding, Accommodation and other daily living expenses? Thanks Anticipating your reply. 1 Like |

ModelLook: Does the aspiring student want to pass, fail or dropout?..... Let's conduct a small analysis - : - Aspiring student would be earning minimum wage or slightly over - How much are foreign student fees?... - Cost of accommodation + feeding + logistics + transportation (luckily compulsory handouts purchases (not required) etc. With the above points, not unless this aspiring student is actually a robot or runs on kerosene (as opposed to blood)........ It would be very difficult to execute (remember, when this aspiring student is doing placements, this aspiring student is working free (£0.00 payments)...... All the aspiring student would receive, are (cups of tea/coffee + plenty doughnuts & biscuits + chocolates)........ 3 Likes 1 Share |

ocpaschal: TB test is part of student visa requirements and it’s compulsory. You can get it done and get the result the same day . You have to do it before applying for visa, you don’t need it for university application. 1 Like |

I am surprised that you are even asking the question... A visitor is not allowed to work - it is very simple! And the answer that it is not legally allowed implied that you might be able to work or get some sort of paid employment but it will be illegal and in contravention of your visa. This immigration 101! Some do get visas through agents but a lot fall by the wayside. And if the so-called agent cannot be honest with visa applicants then you have to wonder. Anyway, I am sure that you know that it is not legal to take paid employ on a visitor's visa - your reply shows that. So why waste folks time asking the question? 2 Likes |

Hazardd: sure am going to get the 6 months visa. The only thing will it be more useful to me there Asin in work things That is not guaranteed, you are more likely to lose that money than getting a visa. For the fact that you have 2m or 20m is not good enough to get you a visa, how you made that money (with evidence) and your current social-economic circumstance matters a lot. |

Please people that send money to Nigeria, how do you do it? I just tried doing it from my Lloyd's bank app and the charge is not for the weak. Is there another way to send money to a Nigerian account from my account? |
