Well generally this year's utme fail rate is very high so expect the cutoff to be reduced but provided u have a decent olevel littered with A's and B's then it is very likely for you to gain admission in a state uni just pray hard and play ur cards right.

You don't fear for your life?
If you're going to school in the North now, keep ransom money as you're saving for school fees
And your score isn't bad too....considering that a lot of people failed this year's jamb

Going to school in the north is just as risky as going to school in the south

Firstly, try to erase last year's result. It's gone already.

Generally, this year jamb result is low. But nevertheless, don't risk mbbs with 263. Change to Dentistry (BDS) in Oau. Prepare well for the post utme and pray, you'll get in.

Last year's cut off for mbbs was 80.3; dentistry 71 (or thereabouts). From the look of things, it'll likely reduce by 4-5 marks. Meaning dentistry shouldn't be more than, at most, 67.

Good luck!
Boss are you kidding me,cut off will reduce or what do you say grin.... Don't sleep on it o boss....OAU wants to merge, they have take in 60% from 2020 jamb aspirant and they will only take 40% from this year aspirant and they will all resume together

The quota for BDS in oau is 25 and they've already admitted 18...so you'd agree with me that the competition is damn sick
Re: The medical students and aspirants thread by philaretus: 11:14pm On Jun 29, 2021
The poor performance of jambites this year is not going to be a deterrent for low cut off marks in health sciences. You'd be surprised the number of students that still had above 300 this year...plus school like unilag and oau have extremely small quota this year and considering the fact that UI is not admit and all, the cut off marks would reflect a struggle for survival

Oga even people with 250 260 270 280 do not think their scores are okay enough talk less of ur's buh well u can still give it try if the skul requires putme then start studying hard for it but if it requires olevels then ensure ur result has A and B's with a deficiency of C's then I think u will stand a better chance.
