I paid(I have paid 50% of the agreed price) an agent to process a tourist US visa for me.
I made visa payment since February until now he keeps on telling me no date ,no date that the available dates are 2024 that I should hold on ..

Also is it possible I forget about the b1/b2 payment I made and make another one since I’m thinking doing a masters degree .

Applied for my parents for visit visa in February got an appointment date in January 2023, Luckily one of my siblings was able to get a closer date in June this year after many sleepless nights. The goodnews is that they went for the interview a couple of days ago and they were issued the visa. They weren't asked much questions, my they were just asked what they do? and what they were going for? and how long they would be there for? My mum had been to the US before but my dad has never.

I want to start my US (Family) application and I don't want to use any agent. I will be applying for myself, son and wife. I have been to the UK in 2012 on tourist visa, my wife and I have been to Ghana on honeymoon same 2012 but my son has never travel. Passport is ready and I want to start my application today.

Help me with procedures or links for a start.

What are my chances of issuing a visa. I really need this for my 8year old. He really want to visit NASA and Disney, he has a dream of becoming an astronaut. Thanks all

Hi everyone, I have a quick question. I'm trying to book visiting visa for my family, I'm aware that each individual has to have their own DS-160. I'm also aware that when you fill one ds-160 for one member, after submitting the form, it will automatically create a family application page. the problem is I don't want to submit the DS- 160 form yet. Can I create/ start a new application on my own for each individual without using the automatically created family application page. will this result in any problem where they wont be able to interview together as family. Has anyone ever done this before?

You can fill separate DS160 for everyone without submitting any or all, until you are good to submit.

You only get to link everyone together when you want to select an interview date in ustraveldoc, not DS160, and it is not automatic. One person will be designated principal applicant by you, and it covers interview together as a family.
You will only get different interview dates if you create separate ustraveldocs for everyone and select dates individually for everyone.

Except the agent promised next day interview date, I don't think you would have been able to do any differently if you started the application in February. Thats the interview date window you would also get yourself.

As I have expressed reservations about agents, just make sure the DS160 is your information, and not something put together to make you look good as they do. And it will be cross referenced with the student visa you are considering. People get refused student visa also

pls I need help on how to fill my DS 160.I have been trying to fill it since yesterday afternoon the thing is so frustrating o.After filling my personal details for d first page I save it,I move to the next page as I was filling it,it just says time out.After some hours I said let me continue so I tried retrieving my application it keeps saying incorrect code or i.d incorrect,this is the same i.d I wrote it down before saving it.Later I said let me start another application immediately I started it keep saying time out...This is really really frustrating I now see d reason why some prefer using agent.The headache no be here.Please someone should tell me what to do o.

As usual, I will always advocate for you to do it yourself. If you feel you will have to use an agent anytime, it's another option available to you.

The issues you listed above are due to a spotty network connection and missing the captcha image. Try a different internet connection or use same one in a different location. If the captcha image is not clear, refresh it to get another challenge.

It is not compulsory you finish filing the DS160 in 1 hour.

If DS160 stresses you so much, then you won't be able to handle looking or waiting for dates

Other things you can do is clear the cookies or temp files on your browser. Hope you know your passwords sha o.
Then if you get to any part in the form you don't have fine details ready. Save and exit, get the details and login again to continue.
EG... Address where you will stay while in the US
