In a copy of the letter to the UK High Commissioner, made available to SaharaReporters on Thursday night, Ejimakor reiterated that Kanu, being a British citizen, did not travel with a Nigerian passport to Kenya where he was abducted.

Sometimes I wonder whether Nnamdi Kanu and IPOB movement even understand the role of Britain today in the one Nigeria project.

Someone should tell Ejiofor that Britain knows better about what he's talking about. If Nnamdi Kanu was travelling with a British passport but intercepted in Kenya or wherever, without the knowledge of Britain, the British government would have declared war against the Nigerian government by now.

By the way, wasn't it an INTERPOL job? If it done by the INTERPOL then Britain knew in advance that Kanu was going to be arrested in Kenya. That's how the INTERPOL works. The INTERPOL cannot be investigating someone in Europe without the knowledge of British branch of the INTERPOL.

Britain is the very architect of the arrest. That's how they work. They operate by keeping people blind.

It does not mean he would be freed , or he won't get sentenced.

For anyone who thinks that countries listen to the UK, consider the cases of UK citizens who are in jail worldwide, especially the case of a certain British citizen who is in jail in Iran for 'subversive activites'. Iran has refused to listen to the UK to release her (Iran is holding her to make the UK release its money trapped in UK banks since the 1980's....)

Iran is a strong independent country. Nigeria is just a business venture that has nothing to offer the world

This is they type of lawyer that will represent you, and fast track you going to jail.

Instead of focusing on the accusations against your client, you're talking about Britain citizen.

Go to ikoyi prison, white British, Italians are serving jail term, the Italian man that killed his wife in Banana Island is still been held at ikoyi prison.

Who told you guys been a British passport holder, immune you from prosecution, no nationality is above Nigerian law. Do the crime, face the prosecution, if convicted, face the jail term.

It's possible ..

For I see a violation of international Law in Kanu's arrest .

Only issue here is that Kanu has dual citizenship.

Okay, now you agree there is "issue"? grin

Even if he is solely a British citizen, the long list of offences and jumping of bail are enough to nail him successfully. Secession is not madness and madness is not secession.

As a British
If you break Nigerian Laws, here is what the British Government Can do for you.

UK manual on ‘Support for British nationals abroad: A guide’.

“We can offer you information about the local prison or remand system, including visiting arrangements, mail and censorship, privileges, work possibilities, and social and welfare services. We can also explain where there are different regulations for remand prisoners and sentenced prisoners. For example, in some countries, prisoners are allowed to send more mail when they are on remand.

We cannot get you out of prison or detention, nor can we get special treatment for you because you are British. If however you are not treated in line with internationally accepted standards we will consider approaching local authorities. This may include if your trial does not follow internationally recognized standards for a fair trial or is unreasonably delayed compared to local cases.

With your permission, we can consider taking up a complaint about ill-treatment, personal safety, or discrimination with the police or prison authorities.

Consular staff will keep in regular contact with you, either by visiting personally or by telephone/ letter. The frequency of visits will depend on local prison conditions and your personal circumstances.

If you are a dual British national in the country of your other nationality (for example, a dual Nigerian-British national in Nigeria), we would not normally offer you support or get involved in dealings between you and the authorities of that state. We may make an exception to this rule if, having looked at the circumstances of the case, we consider that you are vulnerable and we have humanitarian concerns.

We would not normally attend a court case involving a British national, and we cannot influence the outcome of any trial,” UK Home office guidelines.

Thanks. Your post explains the facts. I don talk am and discussed the issue of dual citizenship in the past. The Begum girl from East London is still in a prisoner’s camp pleading to allowed back into UK after terrorism? Even Sowore had a US passport but was bundled from hotel. Dual citizenship is a double edged sword.

Before FG could arrest Kanu and repatriate him, British government must have been fully and duly informed, not only British government self, FG must have seek the advise from other world leaders on how to handle the delicate situation regarding Kanu.

If Kanu likes, He should write UN, FIFA, CAF, NBA, he over beaten his drums with the UGM activities. Nail in the coffin

All this are aftermath of the twitter suspension and google app review war between SE and North in general.

FG would use adjournment of court cases to frustrate Kanu as there would be series of situations where the judges would miss some of the court cases...The first adjournment is almost a month..

His demand is even laughable, he is claiming British citizen, yet he is causing problems in another country and trying to devide the country with violence.

Does British citizenship gave him the right to cause problems in Nigeria, in fact Nigeria should file a case for citizenship to be withdraw because he abused it, considering the number of persons who lost their lives.
What is the problem, that he want his people to be free from your Fulani oppression. Is it by force to be together. Right from the existence of the earth, people do ask for their separation. Israel asked for separation through moses. Your power drunk government is the Nigeria problem. How on earth will you love some and hate some in the same country. Yet you are the president of all. Think with your head. I am of justice irrespective of who is involved.

The way MNK story will turn in the coming weeks will shock everybody... I'm observing...

Meanwhile, All of you celebrating Nnamdị Kanụ's arrest inside IDP camp, your salvation is here, go home; the reason you ran away from your various homes has been arrested. The reason you can't travel freely via Kaduna road has been arrested. It calls for celebration. Drink more kunu!

I used to be against MNK but thanks to Buhari's tribal and religious bigotry, I started supporting anyone who fought against Buhari including MNK and Sunday Igboho.

MNK lost me when he decided to start killing any Igbo who doesnt support him.
Even the last sit-at-home order was violent because he instructed his foot soldiers to kill who ever violated the sit-at-home order in the east. Videos were shared of the violence that was meted on those who flouted the sit-at-home order on May 29-31st. Even old men were beaten.

At that point he stopped being a freedom fighter and slipped unfortunately becoming a terrorist.

While I do not celebrate his arrest, because we have a more terrorist government, he has made it difficult for the international community to be able to support him. Because the first thing this useless govt would play to then are his insurgent messages instructing his followers and footsoldiers in IPOB/ESN to kill peaceful civilians and politicians who do not support his course.

It's obvious from the attacks on Sunday Igboho that this govt seeks to silence every agitator even peaceful agitators. On that note, I believe they have already failed.

Because every non-political Nigeria already sees this govt as a failed govt and their antics to trample on their democratic rights to express their grievances will only provoke more freedom fighters.

Even if govt arrests Kanu and Igboho, more like them will simply sprout because Nigeria has never been more politically, economically, religiously etc divided, ever. Buhari is apparently and oxymoronically now the worst and the best thing to happen to Nigeria.

Worst because Nigeria has never experienced this level of Low.
Best because he has United all non-Fulani Nigerians to see the bigotry of the Fulanis in their evil and sinister efforts to rule other Nigerian tribes.

Now all Nigerians United against the entity called One Nigeria. Every geopolitical zone is now clamouring to secede. From the East to the West, South and even some parts of the North who have experienced the evil of the Fulani.

Some of us here, have been victims of illegality, injustice, police brutality. Which is not directly perpetrated by Buhari, but was done by police or government employees, which FG is not even aware.

There are places you channel your grievances to and you will get justice.

You don't get justice by killing police, beheading people who disagree with you.

There can only be one government. And we must respect the rule of law

He's just a British citizen and not a diplomat and holder of diplomatic passport so he doesn't have immunity. If the UK wants to do anything, she can only enter into dialogue or liaise with the FG. But to state expressly for his outright or immediate release will only undermine the sovereignty of Nigeria, which I believe, the FG will not accept.

Nnamdi Kanu's lawyers did not just write this letter. The British high commission in Lagos first stated it that consular service is available to him. From the look of things, Britain will not leave him alone in the problem. Mehn! Kanu is damn lucky to be a British Citizen.

Buhari and the Federal Government will know what's sup soon. Nnamdi Kanu fighting for the Igbo is huge. I do not support many of his actions, but this present administration is too stubborn. In fact, Jonathan is far better than this Buhari in crisis management. Though, Buhari has his own strength, but when it comes to crisis management and economy, he is a capital NO.

There will be indoor dialogue on this matter. But Buhari is making Kanu extremely popular. G7 will soon start eyeing this case, and before you know it, many US universities will start using it as a case study.

Even Department State Security attacked Sunday Igholo's home yesterday who is another self acclaimed freedom fighter. This is another blunder of the Federal Government. Mainwhile, they are pampering Fulani Herdmen and Bandits. Lol. This is a big minus for Buhari. No wonder the US declined in moving its African Military base from Germany to Nigeria. Lol. There is inconsistency in Buhari.

Well, I just wish Nnamdi Kanu can escape this again but after, he should learn how Nelson Mandela did it. Mandela even forgave all his opponents after he became the president. Kanu should not ask his followers to kill the military. But also, he will argue his case that the military attacked him first.

This is an international case and Buhari has already made Kanu a popular freedom fighter. And with his recent actions, he will just become more unpopular among world leaders. But Goffrey Onyeama is a good diplomat and I dont know why as Buhari's foreign affairs minister he is not letting him know he is making blunders. Twitter's case is still there. Well, Buhari will not win all, though it seems he is winning. He should employ a dispute and conflict resolution expert asap; else, he is falling into the pit he is digging for freedom fighters.
for ur mind u made sense.clap for urself
