There is nothing the British government will do other than to say they're expecting a fair trial. That's all.

Go and read about the case of Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe, who is currently held in Iran, has had very high ranking British officals ask for her release, including the Foreign minister, and the PM has also tried too...and who is still in jail, and also even got a fresh sentence.

And like Mazi Kanu is a dual citizen like Nazanin

Countries value their sovereignty and that also includes Nigeria. After all, African leaders told Obama to stuff his message about gay rights, and the US still ended up sending aid to said countries. Bubu won't want to be seen as taking instructions from our colonial masters...

You dare think Nigeria have Iran power and backing

Before FG could arrest Kanu and repatriate him, British government must have been fully and duly informed, not only British government self, FG must have seek the advise from other world leaders on how to handle the delicate situation regarding Kanu.

If Kanu likes, He should write UN, FIFA, CAF, NBA, he over beaten his drums with the UGM activities. Nail in the coffin

All this are aftermath of the twitter suspension and google app review war between SE and North in general.

FG would use adjournment of court cases to frustrate Kanu as there would be series of situations where the judges would miss some of the court cases...The first adjournment is almost a month..

Am I the only one linking these events?
1. King boko , Shekau, was ambushed and died in May
2. Nnamdi Kanu arrested in June
3. Sunday Igboho escaped arrest July.

Election is coming. These guys are up to convincing some chicken minded fellows but some of us are poised on saying Lai Lai to the Momodus. It is too late.

The same UK that he has been bombarded with his lousy mouth. Let's see how the whole thing plays out. You can't be a citizen of a country and through your action or inaction creating tension and violence in another country. He should lead the agitation from the front.

He was kidnapped. He is/was not in Nigerian on his own volition. All the quoted texts about what happens when you break a law in the country of your nationality does not apply here. Britain has an intense interest that it's citizens are not kidnapped when they leave the country. Even if the UK wanted it to happen, it wouldn't have went down this way. Britain looks weak.

Where is the criminality in Kanu's case! Kindly lecture me...thanks!

When an individual calls for arms against a sovereign nation you naturally become a criminal.

A man that jumps bail is a criminal too.

The video of him calling for arms was based on a 2015 town hall meeting in Houston, Texas... It was quite easy to locate about 4-5yrs ago on Youtube

Tried finding it now...But mehn there are thousands of videos with Kanu caption on it that it will take the whole day to sort out the one, 'm referring to.

That video is the genesis of his problems with the FG.

As per him jumping bail. Isn't that a well documented and publicized episode?

And if your excuse is that it was the military that did this and that and so on and so forth.
Well, even that argument didn't work in court that was why the judge in charge ruled that his sureties should lose their bail bond. As the excuses were considered flimsy and unacceptable.

And let's for an instance assume (without conceding) that his reason for jumping bail is genuine.

How long has he been around now? I mean since after reappearing from the military episode? About 2 or 3 yrs.

Isn't that enough time for him to get his lawyers to approach the courts to declare that his client is available for trial and that he went missing due to what he considers threat to life and he needs special assurances from the courts or even his British consulate that no harm will be done to him, if he decides to resume his case and clear his name?

The man was declared wanted by the FG and Rivers State govt with bounties on him.
Does he not feel the need to get his lawyers to clear his name, if truly he wasn't running away from justice? Did his lawyers challenge the Wanted Criminal tag on him by the FG and RVSG?
No...they did non of that

Simply, because they had achieved their aim which is for him to be a fugitive and never return to face justice.

I rest my case!

...so you expect him to return to a country and govt that sent troops to kill him even while they were still in court?
I don't know how you guys reason all these but I bet you that as the crows fly this govt have no case will lose woefully against Kanu...
They could not even bring him back legally but had to abduct him which us an international crime.
In fact the only thing this govt can do is to continue to detain and delay Kanu illegally until their tenor expires
Nothing else

How was Col.Noriega brought to the US?
How was Osama killed?
How were Nazis hunted down and tried or how were they all killed?
The terrorists of Munich Olympics in 1974, how were they killed and the others captured and tried?

There is no country anywhere that will interfere in this matter talkless of asking about due process of capturing a terrorist and international fugitive.

Dude is going to spend the rest of his miserable life in prison.

How?
Forget this your media trial... In actual court there is no case against Kanu.
God will keep us all alive and we shall how it will all end.

And you forgot to mention Nelson Mandela or you didn't know he was also a terrorist before becoming Mandela?

So, all the boasting and noise making is hinged on begging the British govt, he has insulted many times to come and rescue him.

Silly dumb ass...The British govt won't do anything about it other than offer you advise. Their daughters and sons have been incarcerated in several countries over the last 2 decades and they dare not interfere in cases of criminality
I know you have not travelled out of the zoo before and what nnamdi just did is alien to you , listen he exercised his constitutional right as a British citizen and it can not be denied .... To criticize the government is a right and never a privilege ... You people are so mixed up with poverty and suppression that you no longer know how freedom feels gosh get a passport and leave the damn zoo
