yes. People inherit their spouses debt all the time. Divorce or not. As long as they borrowed the money while married to you. It’s joint finances. That’s why you must marry someone who won’t bring you down financially by borrowing unreasonably

The logic is that the man's wealth might be as a result of joint effort and sacrifice by both of them. The wife might have contributed to the husbands business or career to the detriment of her own. After all the bible said two have become one. So it is sometimes fair for the family wealth to be shared after divorce.

I don't support this instance anyway. Because the woman contributed no way whatsoever in the winning of the lottery. She probably was against lotteries in general. I also don't support women who bring nothing into the marriage demanding for a substantial share during and after divorce.
