November24:You are right to a very large extent & God bless u for your wisdom! Marriage life is truly not for everyone. This is the first time I am hearing a pastor's wife attending another church. How will such a man face his members if he can't even convince his wife? I just feel for him. 4 Likes 1 Share |

Lol! This is exactly what I was saying in some of my posts. Point 1: The Nigerian culture automatically gives the man the go ahead to tell his wife to attend his church. But my view is that this is wrong. My view does not count as this issue will continue. However, it will get to a stage the devil will use it to destroy homes which has started. Point 2: It is clear that these two couples are prayerless. I am not saying I am a super prayer warrior, but at least the unity in the family is stronger when both of them pray together. The wife is attached to her Dominnion church simple cos of her pastor and mode of service there. And the husband too. Yet, both of them said they want to be one. Lol. Two kids playing adult game. There is no way these two people will miss it if they pray together. When the woman knows she cannot attend Redeemed, why did she marry him when she knows it is the Nigerian culture? She should have chosen one brother in her Dominion church. This is how people cause wahala for themselves. Now, she wants to divide her family with stubbornly doing her wish, instead of her to go on her knees. And also start praying with her husband. Point 3: The issue of the wife to be submissive to the Husband when it comes to faith is rubbish to me. People have turned the condition of the lady being submissive to the man to an idi.otic level. I repeat, there is no way there will not be unity if the two of them are prayerful. I am 100% certain. Let the wife be Catholic and the wife be whatever, if they start praying and meditating the word together, they cannot miss it. The Holy Spirit will guide them. They may end up attending Dominion, or Redeemed, or another church. It is not just possible for them both to not agree if they pray together. My advice: Know it that the man is the head of the house and according to the Nigerian culture, the lady follows her to his church (standard way in Nigeria; though, I don't agree to it...but I cannot change it...and it is not changing soon...I mean not in the next 20 years). Therefore, any lady who cannot leave her church should find a husband in her church. Stop causing confusion. But any lady who chooses to go with another man who is not attending her denomination should be ready to follow the man to his church. Do not hope to change him to attend your church. Stop being fo.olish. However, the strategy of praying and medicating the word together can influence the family to their place of worship. It is not for influencing him to follow you to your church, or to do your wish, but to guide the two of you and your family to the church you should go. FACT: The lady will also force her children to her church if she has the power to do it. Of course, she should not say rubbish she will not..she definitely will. Yet, she is complaining someone is forcing her too. Why then, did she look out of her Dominion church to marry when she knew she wouldn't leave the church? My own opinion. Feel free to disagree. God bless! 2 Likes |

I always enjoy seeing families head to Church and get involved im Church activities together. And i fully support going to the same church as a family. In the spirit of give and take, perhaps you can get home and listen to the othee church's sermon or talk it out gently with your husband.. It is always good to experience new things and to leaen from such experiences 1 Like |

debbycreamy:for the fact that you have even disobeyed your husband shows that your Christianity is questionable if you doubt me go and ask your pastor, if he is a true man of God he will tell you the plain truth. As the HUSBAND is the head of the home so is Christ the head of the church. The word husband in capital. Even if you married an ifa priest, except he permits you, you must follow him to worship ifa, any contest is disobedience to the word of God. Shallom 1 Like |

debbycreamy:thunder carress your labia Majora there, idiot. Na your type dey serve pastor 4 meat and give your husband 2. Isn't your husband your covering and spiritual head? What kind of Bible do you read? If you're not going to same church with your husband, you're a bloody rebel and an idiot. What a bedazzled emboldened fool and spiritual olosho you be. It won't be long before you transfer loyalty and obedience to your church leaders and Christian brothers above your husband. It's just a matter of time. You're sentimentally attached to your church and sacrificing your husband's authority and being very selfish. If the man isn't a tolerant mugu, he should have kicked your wandering Jezebel ass into the curb a long time ago. Abiku on the loose! 6 Likes |

Where the head goes the body follows...in Ephesians chapter 5, the bible said just as Christ is the head of the church ,so the man is unto the woman ...if you know where the head was leading you to wasn't pleasantry then you would not cling to the head ... Madam God is the same everywhere don't allow litlle religious issues to scatter your union .. I think part of the problem is you where going to your husband church with an already biased mind You get luck oo ,your husband even still dey go church and you dey complain ,what if na idol worshiper and he tells you that you must prepare food for sango very Sunday ?? debbycreamy: 2 Likes |

KosiGee: Very little -- if anything separates you from the OP. You both are ideological siblings, at least in the aspect of understanding the concept of marriage. Fortunately there's still time to learn. A good Christian woman knows her husband or prospective husband is her physical and spiritual head. And it is expected that she leaves her church and join his after marriage except there's an agreement not to. A family that attends different churches is walking a type rope already. There's nothing stopping the man from going to his wife's church if he wants to, but as the head, such decision is his and his alone to make. Unfortunately it is not so with the woman. Her vows bwfore her people (in her traditional marriage) and GOD (in her church marriagine) is to be obedient and submissive to her husband. Any ideology outside this is from that old spirit of rebellion and pride. 2 Likes |

See as you dey bring different churches inside the mater...what's my business with rccg or dominion city? It could have been any church....the crux is that she refused to go to her husband's church and try to justify the rebellion with the Bible. Your sperm-filled brain can't understand the difference. Or maybe it's that time of the month where you bleed and your brain is suffering lack of oxygen ? Na people like you dem dey flag for radical spiritual therapy to cure your from a legion of spiritual husbands when dey f.uck your spirit into astral terrorist. Big Toto! 5 Likes |

I totally get you. My husband is one of the pastors in his church but I attend another. I do not 'feel' his church at all and I'm only happy when we shared the grace at the end so I left. It also created brouhaha at the beginning but I told him I'd rather stay at home. He eventually let me be and I now attend another church. You need to pray about it. Madam, What I had expected u to do is to introduce that which u hv learnt from ur own church to his and support him to grow the church together. Just an advise. |
Re: Dominion City & RCCG: Changing Church As A Married Woman by MrHighSea: 9:11am On Jul 04, 2021 |
felixzo1:Marrying from your church further curtails the possibility of brouhaha. But, In the future, one of you, YOU or MADAM may want to leave the church to another. What if SHE no gree comot with you. Being loyal to a church or pastor is risky. |

You want to make your pastor a failed man of God out there. He used maturity in the spirit to allow you make your choice. But if this man is truly in the spirit, you can not make him look stupid before the congregation for a long time. There will come a day that the spirit may comfort him. God is a jealous God. I am afraid of humble people like this because their God is dangerously jealous. Be careful madam. 1MinuteWithTina: |

debbycreamy:There are a feel issue's here. 1. You don't feel his church The church does not belong to man. Church isn't like fashion where we have our taste and prefrence. If it is the church of God then it's up to you to do all you can to feel it. Pray to God and seek his help so you can begin to feel the service.. if it is truly his church. 2. The most important thing to you should be your family. You cannot leave any room for division. You should be ready to sacrifice everything for the unity of you family. Husband, wife and children should be united in worship. Where would your kids worship? Would you and your husband split the kids with religion also? I understand, it could be hard for you but then call on God and ask him to lead you and your family together to his Church. Nowe for some bible passages 1 Peter 3.7 7Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered. Ephesians 5:22-24 - Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord... It did not say sum it to your pastor but to your husband. 1 Timothy 2:12 - But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.... The Lord has given your husband the authority so be a good wife. Sacrifice your wants for the good of your fanmily. 1 Like |

Me too I totally understand. I'm about to stop attending my current church too. Father in law is the pastor and that family is way too talkative AND dramatic for me. I can deal with the drama wherever but not in church where I need some peace of mind 1 Like 1 Share |
