sorry to digress. What is your travel history like as a family? and individually.
How did you arrive at 2150? Use minimum prices for hotels and flight tickets.
@giselle237
I Have been to Rwanda, Kenya and Dubai alone. As a family, we have been to South Africa.
how did I arrive at 2,150 ?
1.ticket 700 GBP
2. hotel for 2 weeks: 790
3. feeding @ 15GBP per day: 210
4. Sightseeing and Miscellaneous for the whole family pegged @ 450GBP
Like I said, I decided to add 2 and 4 to my total bcoz I am the primary applicant. I await further advise. Thanks

Hello everyone, I would love to spend Christmas in the UK, so I’m trying to fix my account. I have an online store where I sell male clothes and accessories. I do not pay tax neither do I have CAC. I have decided to start paying myself 200k. Starting from today, I will pay in 200k into the account I intend to use and use “June salary” etc as the narration. I will do the same for subsequent months. Is this ok?

Good day house, few questions:
1. Does British airways have any specific labs 4 Covid test in Nigeria?
2. What are those things (food in particular) to be packed that ll not be seized when checking.
Thanks
Most of the foods wont be seized... maybe palm oil etc. the thing is the Nigerian immigration officers at d airport. Once they see u with Nigerian food stuff, they know that u will be desperate to travel with it and then want to delay u and source bribe.
So u have energy for plenty talk, pack food stuff.
Otherwise few will be fine for ur use until u settle down in the UK

No problm.
Good luck.
Based on ur documents, sell a profile of one who is so established in Nigeria and as such even for millions can not throw tht away to go and become illegal in the UK.
If u can convince them about ur ties to Nigeria then u will get d visa...

Good evening everyone.
Thanks to all the gurus in the house @giselle237 @justwise et al.
I've read this thread from the 1st page and it has indeed been enlightening, but I've got a little clarification.

Background: I'm a medical doctor and I recently got a US study visa. I've paid for my flight to US in September.
But I'd like to visit my boyfriend in UK next month just before I travel to US ( cos my class schedule is crazy and i dunno when next we can see). He's also a medical doctor. He would be the principal sponsor.

Question:
My salary is 250k monthly, but I've got a closing balance of about 280k for this month, because i had lots of expenses (paying for my flight ticket to US, US visa charges, paying off some personal loans, buying crypto via P2P).
I still live with my parents, so i have minimal monthly expenditure.
PS. My bf has sent all his documents to me: bank statement, BRP, utility bill, pay slips et al.
He stays alone, so my feeding, accomodation and transportation for sightseeing is sorted out. I have no intentions of shopping.
I also intend attaching a copy of my paid flight to US in September.

Please is there any other thing i need to be aware of , that i would explain to the ECO?
I look forward to hearing from you. Thank you.

Go ahead and apply. Highlight that you start school in Sept in the U.S and attach proof to that effect. Attach proof to establish your relationship with your partner. You can leave out your bank account statement if you want. Your boyfriend should do a letter explaining that he will cover your whole cost, he is a doctor so definitely earns well enough to do this without raising too many questions on the side of the ECO. Attach your US visa, flight ticket and any other visas you might have had in the past. etc

Do you have receipts to show for those transactions ?

Thanks for ur response. I do not have receipts to show for the outgoings. It’s my day to day account and I use it almost everyday for my feeding, workers feeding, fuel , food stuffs, utility bill and other miscellaneous , and there is no way I can get a receipt for all dis.

But I already had invoice for proof of savings because I received some heavy inflow monthly as well

I was asked the total amount of money I spend in a month. After calculating my monthly expenditure on my bank statement I got confused coz it varies.. I don’t have a fix amount.. some months I spend in total over 200k, another month over 400k and another month over 800k and over 1m in another month.

I think an average will be ideal to state in the application since it varies.

Closing balance of 280k ; the trip comes of as highly unnecessary now, in my opinion. I suggest you forget it for now, apply from US after some time. Neither u nor ur boyfriend is running away

Lol...you're right actually, but then I have masters exams in December, so obviously I can't just decide to travel then.
And he won't be coming to the US till march. It's quite a conundrum...long distance relationships require extra work. I'm free next month, so i decided to make good use of it and with my US visa, admission letter and flight booking. I believe the ECO will see i have no plans of staying in the UK past the allocated visa time.
As for my account balance, i stated he is the sponsor. He's a doctor, so he can conveniently sort everything out.
I only wanted to know if there was any need in adding my bank statement.

u need to pay for your day 2 and day 8 tests first, after complete payment, the test providers will send you the reference num. this is the number the passenger locator form is asking you for.

Good evening to you all, I would like to seek your opinion about my travel status. I was denied a UK tourist visit early January because I didn't explained further my profit.

Now, I just got a 70k LASG job and have my payslip and salary account statement plus pension. In addition, I still have a company I'm running with CAC cert and doc, Company payment invoice, Tax receipt and account statement to show for it.

1) Does my previous profile affect my new job status?
2) Do I need to apply as a LASG civil servant or as a business man?

I'm planning to go for a conference related to my job description by September. I humbly await a response. Thank you

If you are going for a conference related to your job description it doesn't make sense to apply as a business man as unless the conference is also related to your business.

It's an annual conference and related to my job description. I'm just wondering because my salary is way small compared to the returns I get from my business. Thank you for your input.

You can present those and explain the nature of your business as you did here

Regarding the monthly expenditure..you can state the average and not necessarily the exact amount.

Hello. I have read up as many pages as I can. I still can’t find the place where it was discussed. I would appreciate if you could point me in the right direction or just advice me. I only want to spend Christmas and new year there.

Can someone else help? Anyone?

Makes no sense paying yourself a salary. Rather what you should do is transfer your profit to your savings account from your business account and use that as your funding source.

Too many questions may arise with paying yourself a salary from your own business.

Good day guys. Thank you for the beautiful job you’re doing here. I sincerely need the input of the gurus here as I explain my situation. I want to lay it all out so that I don’t get denied again.
I have been denied a UK visa twice in the past and the reasons were just because I did not explain the other funds I received into my account asides my salary.

(There was one that people just sent me money on my birthday only with happy birthday narration ) but I was still refused.

Anyways, I have been to Dubai (twice), South Africa and Ghana and I work as a banker earning as much as 350k monthly. (My financial situation has improved since the last time I was denied).

I want to claim that I am living with my parents since I am single so that takes off the rent charges.

I have funds (about 5m) in my savings account that has been there for more than 6 months and all I do literally is just transfer from my salary account to that account with description of “savings”.

I am currently waiting to get the Canada express entry COPR and my last GCMS notes shows that I have passed eligibility.

My Question:

1. What is the best amount to say I want to spend in the UK? - I am travelling alone and will spend a total of 15 days ( including quarantine).

2. The amount I will state for the trip, does it include flight and hotel bills? I will appreciate a breakdown of suggestions.

3. I have been fully vaccinated. Should I state that?

4. Should I state that I applied for the Canada express entry and that I have passed my eligibility?

I’m probably just developing cold feets and I don’t want them to bring up an issue regarding my finance anymore.

I will appreciate all your responses. Thank you.
