TrackerXL: Not true even as a future participle tense. The human brain functions in specific transmission and there is no evidence that being raised in Lagos makes you smarter, I agree that Lagosians are more exposed but nothing tops a collective ideology geared towards a documented masterplan and blueprint accelerated by institutionalized track record. Lagos has been a national capital for so many decades and got basically little to show for it apart from Federal built bridges, when juxtaposed against a young state like Ibom Kingdom, a state created from Cross River on the same date as Katsina was created from Kaduna, it seems to me that it might become the next communist China in a region known for worship of mediocrity. Even as Ibom Kingdom is being built brick by brick, the indigenes are pragmatically criticising their Government to do more. They are not one of the 'our son' zombie. You can imagine how Akpabio was thrown under the bus even though he did above average job. In essence, they need no God-fatherism, they respect nothing, they are arrogant even in their lack, and they will reject your money even when poor if you at any point attempt to undermine their ego. They are mostly short, arrogant, smart, silly in egotism, stubborn and proud, and they know what the fucck they want. I will advise you to buy a piece of Akwa Ibom, their girls love to love and I mean true love if they find you handsome and sweet. 3 Likes 1 Share |

Lagos state was not the Capital of Nigeria. A small part of the state was the capital. This arrangement ceased in 1991. 30 years ago When the FG left many communities did not have electricity or any form of federal presence Lagos state as a whole is many time more advanced than it ever was when the city of Lagos was FCT 1 Like |

Ngorbungor:i don’t think it can, their standard is world class and it’s been managed by private firm. I fly with them like every time to see my girlfriend in calabar. I am flying with them this week again, so I know what I am saying. But I don’t think it’s necessary for Lagos to have an airline, it’s going to be a needless and elephant project owing to the fact that private investors already filled that space.

Billyonaire666:You nailed it, I was born and bred in Lagos but had my tertiary education in the east, even as a Yoruba guy. I have an Igbo friend who lived in Umuahia, he works as a lecturer in Abia state currently, he has been to Lagos just twice and he came to visit me on both occasions. He was wowed when I drove through 3rd mainland bridge, which he saw for the first time but this guy is miles smarter than I am on IQ level and trust me, I am not a dull person. I can relate perfectly to what you just typed. 1 Like |

Lagos was the capital cities for 30 years from 1991 - 2021 another 30 years of Lagos not being the capital without a single kobo from the federal givet to sustain maintain or build anything in Lagos n Akwa Ibom can still not compete with Ikorodu in the same Lagos. When you are ready to stop being foolish n senseless you will accord those managing Lagos the honor they deserve. Billyonaire666: |

TrackerXL:Lagos will beg for investors if port harcourt, Warri, and Calabar port will be fully opened by the federal government, in 20years most companies would have moved their headquarters to other port cities because Lagos is a chaotic place to live in. The reason why Lagos seem to be having all the investors and revenue is because companies will always move close to sea access to cut off huge amount on logistics after they must have imported their facilities or products. It’s not as if the government of Lagos is superb in governance, they are just lucky to be benefitting from this loophole. 1 Like |

TrackerXL:its common sense and I don’t think I should break it down for you. Two things bring development to a city, Government presence and economy. Since the capital City left Lagos, Lagos hasn’t really change. Just a bit of cosmetics here and there. Don’t argue with me because I was born and bred in Lagos, I have been here for more than 30years. The only governor that tried making little difference is fashola, others na cosmetics. With the kind of revenue Lagos is generating as a result of that port, if the governors cannot give us a Durban or Johannesburg then it’s a shame. 2 Likes |

Billyonaire666: Imota rice mill a Lagos state investment to produce 5m bags of parboiled rice to serve the needs of 22m Lagosians, with an investment of 20bn. It has the capacity to meet a large part of the needs of the entire population and beyond. There are at least 20m rice consumers in Lagos compared to how many thousand air flight customers. This plant can easily turn over 125bn at 25k per 50kg bag. It will also employ far more hands compared to a few planes operating this plant apart from linkage to farmers in other states supplying paddy rice to prevent them from emigrating to Lagos to ride okada or beg. A conservative margin of 2k per bag is at least 5bn profit a year. It will be a miracle if Akwa-Ibom air makes 1bn returns for the investment annually. In terms of think tank, I won't dismiss either states. Lagos is keying in to its asset, the huge population to drive value in a basic need that most people depend on. Some of the profits on the rice consumption rate of Lagos will return to govt coffers and can be used for social services. I can't see the value in competing with the myriad of private airline operators that might be more efficient. Lagos is not undeserved in airlines and is already a destination of choice for air travellers. Akwa-Ibom on the other hand need traffic in it's airports to make it viable and needs such moves to actualize it's ambition to make the state a tourist destination. The airline will be a vehicle to drive that dream. There's no tourist spend if people have difficulty reaching the state. The govt might do a trade off to offer incentives to fliers to reach Uyo. This might impact on airline profitability with the hope of boosting tourism revenue. Rice production is an investment Akwa-Ibom should consider seriously with mills to reduce the high unemployment rate in the state. Also palm production, pineapple and juice investment won't be a bad idea also, they got the land resource |
