Ghana is inexperienced? Where did you get that nonsense from? Reading too many crappy reports on the internet? What exactly do you know about the Ghana military apart from all the crappy nonsense you read online?

Do you know how ecomog was able to land in Monrovia to conduct ecomog operations in Liberia during the civil war in that country? Some of you sit on nairaland and write pure crap, even when you have not set a foot outside your own country cool

ecomog made that spectacular landing at the free port of Monrovia that Sunday morning due to the heroics of Ghanaian troops under General Quaynor (the Buffalo Soldier). Despite coming under heavy fire from Charles Taylor’s men, our brave men were able to land and secure territory , which made it possible for the entire contingent (including Nigerian soldiers) to land safely in Monrovia.

I laugh when I hear you Nigerians claim the credit for ecomog in Liberia. grin But who gives a fvck

Do you know the number of times Ghanaian troops have fought and defended important positions during foreign engagements, particularly under the UN? What more experience do you want? Fuckeduppedness grin You guys need to go to the sports section and stop talking about things that are too heavy for your fragile heads grin

AskiaHarem:

So the country can fester and reach a boiling point before exploding releasing dozens of thousands of refugees & terrorists throughout the region? undecided Senegal and Ghana can't pull off a Successful invasion of Mali alone its to large and fanatical. I trust Senegalese competency to some degree but Ghana is inexperienced & Beta.

Irrelevant that was ages ago and this is now. The vast majority of your soldiers and government officials today have little to no experience fighting other nations, separatist rebels, insurgents etc. Even the current Malian regime has more modern experience. I'm not saying this out of spite I'm saying this because it would break my heart to see mass captured Ghanaian troops being paraded around like those Ethiopian troops a couple days ago.

You need to get off the internet and get real facts.

Ghanaian soldiers have been deployed in various theatres of conflicts around the world. From Lebanon, Rwanda, Ivory Coast, Syria etc etc Ghana soldiers have done wonderfully well grin

I wish you can focus more of your attention on your own nigerian troops. The way boko haram is dealing with them, they need your prayers, grin

The Ghana military is doing great, which is why Ghana is the second most peaceful country in Africa. grin Our gallant men and women in uniform are good at nipping every security threat in the bud before it escalates.

Your military high command can learn a thing or two from the Ghana military grin it won’t cost you anything, huh? Fuckeduppedness grin

Same way Nigerian troops of today aren't the ones of ecomog years, this was how long ago? Are those soldiers still young and able to fight?
One thing is to have some training, another is to have first hand experience in battle.
How many troops does Ghana send on missions? All of them? No, only a handful, and their experience can't translate into overall deployable military capability for Ghana, not enough. And those foreign missions are simply patrol missions, how many times have they even fired their guns? How many unsimulated ambushes have they fought through? how many ieds have they encountered, neutralized etc.
I get what you are defending, but you can never compare Ghana military's experience to that of Nigeria. I mean, we've deployed thousands of soldiers into actual battle, they've learned a lot about fighting terrorism, detecting and defusing IEDs, signs to look for while on patrol etc, these are experiences you can't get from lifting weights in a barrack.
I love your country, definitely not bashing, but same way they often say Chinese troops are inexperienced, same applies to those in Ghana.

A handful of soldiers standing gaurd at refugee camps and performing action-less patrols every once and awhile directed by foreign UN Commanders isn't revelant experience. No where near that of Nigeria, Senegal, Ivory Coast, Niger, Cameroon, Chad etc. Don't get me started on your lack of heavy equipment... FAR more BokoHarem die at the hands of Nigerian troops than vise versa.

After all AQIM doesn't exist in Nigeria and BokoHarem is contained to a single forest in a single state out of 36 at the far reaches of the country away from 98% of the population. I feat the Word Powers couldn't achieve in the Middle East.

Ghana is not more peaceful than Cape Verde, Seychelles, Mauritius, Botswana, Namibia etc so you get out of here with that BS. grin

Barrister Ifeanyi Ejiofor, lawyer to the leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has again opened up on the recent re-arrest and re-arraignment of his client.

Ejiofor made the disclosure during an exclusive interview on Arise News Morning Show on Monday, July 5, 2021.

Lawyer Ejiofor indicted Kenyan authorities who he said had beaten Nnamdi Kanu to a coma while holding him in illegal detention.

He also revealed that his client was held in a private residence instead of a legal detention facility as required by the law.

Ejiofor further maintained that Nnamdi Kanu never jumped bail but was forced to seek protection for his life which was as a result of a security breach by Nigerian security authorities.

Barrister Ejiofor also insisted that IPOB, though proscribed in Nigeria, was never ratified by any country or organization outside Nigeria.

He expressed worries that Nnamdi Kanu will not get a fair trial owing to the perceived “illegalities” involving the court presided by Justice Binta Nyako and the Department of State Security (DSS).

Source: Newwavereporters

Look at the diction a supposedly qualified lawyer ⚖ is using to justify illegality.

He was forced to seek protection for his life. Nnamdi was in custody for how long And did anything happen to him

Nnamdi is a bail jumping, common wanted criminal insighting violence against the state with an assumptive self birthed mandate for his version of the Igbo landlocked nation of what he calls Biafra.

Since when did the laws of a sovereign nation require to be ratified by other states before becoming law.

I wonder the law school that some of these lawyers have gone to. Trying to justify the UNJUSTIFIABLE by personal preference not legal principle.

France aint pulling out, but, if by some chance it does, leading to further deterioration in Mali, Nigeria would be wise to leave it to Mali, Senegal and Ghana.

That would be the biggest MISTAKE Nigeria can make.

Allowing ISWAP to have a International HQ from which they can train, plan murderous mayhem across Africa as well as a relatively safe heaven for all their combatants.

This will empower the insurgents by many multiples in the North and extend the life span of ISWAP by decades in Nigeria.

It would mean all these bandits ( militants to me) will have a ready market for all their kidnap victims to be held in Mali until ransom is received.

Nigeria and ECOWAS should stop walking on egg shells, put together a force and reinstate the civilian regime.

Otherwise Mali will be come the playground of multiple interested foreign parties, harvesting her minerals while the nation falls into utter chaos complete destabilising the whole region.

And yes the Russians will in the background using Warner group to install and strengthen a despotic regime.

This is a NIGHTMARE SCENARIO l pray never happens. But with the inept, comatose and visionless regime we have seems plausible.

You are the senseless one here.

The comparison was how Nigerian military dealt with BOKO Haram vs how US military handled Taliban.

Your small sense could only tell you that Talibans are better equipped than ISWAP and BOKO HARAM forgetting than US military is more equipped than any military in the world.

This is even coming after your failed attempt to prove US would do better if they were on home soil. Have they even solved the little mess they have at home? More people die yearly in US to gun misuse than the number of people killed by bandits + terrorist in Nigeria over 3 years.

Have they solved their immediate problem not to talk of solving terrorism issues if it happens?

Your post IMO makes no sense it's irreverent and takes matters out of context.

What is the relevance of domestic crime in the USA to the insurgency in the NE

The Taliban have budget and access to finance that exceeds many states put together in Nigeria.

They make billions from illicit drugs they get $billions in funding from Qatar, indeed they have an Embassy of sorts in Doa.

In addition Pakistan has given huge amounts of military and infrastructure support to the Taliban and created a safe haven for them. You should know they share a common border.

Your post is more senseless because it is without substance and is not anchored anything beyond sentiment and prejudice based preference.

I will give one example of comparison efficacy between the USA and Nigeria.

Just one US citizen, Mr Philip Walton, not two or three or even hundreds of citizens. Was kidnapped by bandits ( militants to me) and taken to Sokoto state.

Within hours of his location being ascertained Seal team 6, night time mission, great stealth helicopters, drones, etc all kidnappers smoked and Philip was on his way home. That was right in our backyard.

Now compare the response of our security infrastructure to the almost daily kidnap of citizens in the North. We even descended to dialogue with militant bandits.

I rest my case.

Unknown gunmen have invaded the National Tuberculosis and Leprosy Centre (NTLC) in Zaria, abducting five workers and two others, in the early early hours of Sunday.

They also attacked a Police Divisional Headquarters around the centre.

A staff of the centre who craved anonymity revealed that those kidnapped include two males and five females of which five are staff of the centre while the rest two are non-staff.
The source explained that, “The gunmen stormed the Saye village in large number blocking the bridge leading to the Leprosy Centre while some invaded the centre and others attacked the police divisional headquarters.”

LEADERSHIP gathered that all the females taken away are nursing mothers kidnapped along with their children.

About 48 bullets were shot at the police station thereby destroying some parts of the Patrol vehicle and smashing windows of some parked impounded vehicles within the premises.

Meanwhile, no life was lost in the attacks that lasted for about one hour.

Further investigation revealed that the gunmen, who also invaded the staff residential quarters of the centre, succeeded in forcing their way into the Principal’s house and three other residents before abducting the victims.

When contacted, the Kaduna State Police Public Relation Officer, ASP Mohammed Jalige, promised to communicate back after being briefed but did not call back as at the time of filing this report.

SOURCE

Did the police not return fire, engage, repel, overtake and annihilate.

Or what was the police response
