HND does. Get your facts well and don’t mislead people. There are schools in Europe that accept HND for MBAs and MSc. Don’t misled these young lads. Check Czech University of Economics, Corvinus in Hungary, IBS in Vienna Austria or Hungary, Helsinki School of Business, European Union University, EBS in Estonia and lots of business schools scattered across Europe.

I'm a Canadian citizen I just want to know how I can help him to get to where he needs to be. I will prefer him to go to Canada to write equipment of the Btech there, rather than in the UK. I'm not sure even if this is possible. I'm not very familiar with nigerian education systems but I wrote my WAEC in Lagos.

Some people never sieze to amaze me ...go for accounting and get a professional certificate to add to your qualification . As an accountant you can work in any industry ....you can even do the work of an economics ....but an economist can't do your work....I am talking from experience cos I read accounting too. I didn't study accounting right from secondary school and it nearly make me hate accounting as a course. Those that started from secondary school alwsys have advantage ....moving from economics to Ican will 've some set backs ....that can't be said about from accounting to ican

In my opinion, Economics is better . You don't need to study Accounting to become a Chartered Accountant or get CPA,ACCA etc and studying Accounting in the university does not make you a professional accountant yet, you are regarded as Accounting graduate not Accountant in the real professional sense.

However, studying Accounting is more prestigious because of the greater competition for securing admission placement in the course in universities and you have more chances to get a job than an Economics graduate .

I made this comment when I was still a young accountant,, my advice for you now,, just go and do accounting. Opportunities are endless and far more than economics for me without professional qualification. . Note economics isn't bad either, regardless of which one you pick though, take a professional exam and the sky is your starting point. Bsc ACC and Bsc ECC alone without professional qualification no get equal opportunity o, ECC go find work tire for 9ja

In 2021, an 'economist' is a career. An 'accountant' is a skill that will very soon be replaced by a computer.
So, without any hesitation, go for economics.

We don't have a government or labor union that will enforce that law,, go on LinkedIn and see HND guys that just graduated from Babcock telling stories of how they are being discriminated in even top 4 firms.. The discrimination is real and dosent seem to go anytime soon from most employers.. It is real

Accounting is a professional course but you must be ready to take necessary professional courses.
Economics is a basic study.
You may end up in classroom as a teacher.
With accounting you stand taller than basic economics as you stand chances of working in firms ,ministries etc.

I did A level accounting, while i was in school, my department have a very close relationship with accounting department, i may not major in accounting but i know alot about it.
