Achitect,they are always recognized as the achitecture of the design,they are always needed till the project is done, engineer leaves after the structural design is done

Go for Civil Engineering. In the nearest future, anyone with a good design software or App can design a building.

Architecture is good but don't stay in the village after graduation. Find attachment and equip yourself.

Neither is better than the other. Your desire and what your aspiration is should determine your route.
Like saying between studying Chemistry and Physics, which is better.

Now, coming to scope, Architecture is a narrower scope while Civil Engineering is far wider.
In each, you can become the very best, like said earlier, your aspiration and preference set your pace.

Speaking from demand, I will say go for civil engineering. It has more demand n we don't have enough civil engineers. You can easily make it there

Ignorance is a disease Mr man. Go for the one you love or else you'll just fail woefully. The one that is better in terms of earning us architecture, you can do it anywhere in the world but still go for the one you like pass. Be planning to leave Nigeria too.

My dear brother , both courses are good. Both I will advice architecture , though more stressful to study , but if you are smart , you can start earning from school from knowledge of applications of softwares for rendering and animations

Architecture. You would be self employed after leaving school and not waiting for appointment before you feed. Engineering is a glamorous course but in practice you must look for job.

The problem here is dat i filled civil as my main course during the just concluded jamb but then again i love drawing like mad even though i was not taught tenchnical drawing while in sec school. Thank you sir

Civil engineering covers everything an architect can do. My elder brother is a civil engineer and I know what he makes on a single contract. I will advise you to go for civil.

Asked myself this question years back but today I'm studying business administration...still my choice tho

This is all story my brother. Deep down you know that both courses are useless. Professional course na scam as far as Nigeria is concerned. Even doctors ain't finding it funny talk less of architects and civil engineers.

Bro, look at the profile of those giving u advice and know where to pitch ur tent. Im a civil engineer and I must tell u the truth, architecture has no single advantage over civil engineering in the present day Nigeria. In fact, no course really has an edge in today's Nigeria - there's no job. As a civil engineer in Nigeria, u can do everything an architect does and even more. The truth of the matter is that there's no job in Nigeria, but a civil engineer has all the options an architect has and more. Architect focuses only on buildings and civil engineers can also do that, but on the flip side, a civil engineer can work on roads, drainage, water supply, construction management, surveying and a host of others; whereas an architect only works on buildings!

N.B: If I were to advise, go for electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, chemistry, physics or mathematics if u are an excellent student. After many years you will thank me.

Guy both are very lucrative but just be good in your field. Try learn modern design and don't get stuck with the old ways of doing things
