Hi everyone, I stumbled on this thread and I really love it, I've been denied study permit before, I'm about to start the process again, I'd really like pointers on what to do and what to avoid. Thanks in anticipation

Welcome Junie,

Firstly, please order for your gcms note, this will let you into the mind of the visa officer.

Then, you'll need to share the refusal reasons here and I strongly believe that the gurus will weigh in with their expertise.

Good evening boss!

Thanks a whole lot for the quick replies boss!

So i checked out those courses in different schools.
But i noticed they're all 1yr courses, that's, 2 semesters.

I thought it's meant to be a 2yrs program? To be fit for the 3yrs PGWP??
You are welcome Honorable,

Guess you didn't go through all the links, there is a Marketing Program with a 2-years Program duration there.

PG. Cert in Strategic Marketing Communications (2-years duration)

Hello guys,

I submitted my Application 19th of April, did my biometrics on the 23rd and it was uploaded same day.
Waiting for medical request, do you think it's the right time to send an E-mail to IRCC on an update on my application
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 19 by makano: 9:07pm On Jul 08, 2021
With a 2:2, its almost impossible to get an MSc admission.. You can go for a Pgd degree.. Peace

My people! Please I have a question about this CIBC student pay. I took the payment instruction to the bank this week but I'm yet to be debited. However I just received a notification from CIBC that I need to complete the payment by tomorrow. So I'm just wondering if I should ignore since I've already initiated the process at the bank.
I'd appreciate anyone who has an idea on how this works. I'm paying with my naira account. Thanks

Hello,

Were you successful with the Form A?

There is no timeline as to when IRCC updates Medicals to pass, you can as well upload the slip given you in Qlife via a Webform.. You can keep doing this until you either get an acknowledgement from IRCC or your medicals updated to Pass.. https://secure.cic.gc.ca/enquiries-renseignements/canada-case-cas-eng.aspx?AspxAutoDetectCookieSupport=1 Thats the link to the Webform. You can also send and attach the slip via mail to the Visa office handling your application.. Peace

Good Day Naira land Fam, i am a newbie in the house and have been a silent reader. I pray it will all end in praise for us all. However i want to ask the Gurus in the house:

i did upfront medical since 16th June, 2021 and up till now no update on my medical examination from IRCC. Please how long does it take to update upfront medical. I have even received a mail from QLIFE that my medical examination has been sent to IRCC. I am sort of worried, please any ideas how to go about it

2.1 is the minimum admission requirement for Masters in Canada. 2.2 graduates going for Masters in Canada has a slim chance of admission.

With your 2.2 and your 5-years working experience, consider going for a program that that its Course outlines (curriculum) resonates with your work experience and duties.

That being said, check the overview, course outlines (curriculum), tuition amount for international students for the programs below, make a choice of the program that suites you, then apply for either the Winter 2022 intake or Spring 2022 Intake (depending on the Intakes available for each Programs)

PG. Cert in Construction Management -1378B
(2 years program) - Available for International Students

Hi,

Ideally, the standard on the group for delayed applicants - someone with a previous refusal - is to apply for GCMS notes. Because, you just "stumbled on this group", I will explain briefly. Simply put, GCMS notes is the report of how your application (refused or not) was processed.
You will see the comments from Visa Officers about what informed their final decisions.

I think you should read through old posts and see similar cases as the reasons you were denied to start getting a sense of what may have gone wrong.

Ultimately, am not sure anyone can confidently advise you on your reapplication without seeing your GCMS notes. See old posts on how/who/where you can get your GCMS notes and how long that may take.

Cheers.

she asked few questions about my education background and work experience.

All I did was to submitted the required document and it was processed via the student recruiter.

Thank you for your prompt response.
Please do u suggest i mail the school first before applying to have a student recruiter assigned to me?

Also, was the interview face to face or questionnaire thing to be filled?

Please were you also given funding and did you take Gre/Gmat and any english Exam?

Evidently, it's not less than a thousand CAD on the website if you read it well. I honestly don't know the point of sharing what doesn't prove your case. Besides, you are talking to a prospective MBA student of this same school, MUN. I've already paid tuition for a year and I know what I spent. It's definitely not what you claim so don't mislead people.

May it end in praise for us all.

I can share the student recruiter details with you. chat me via the email connect on Naira Land.

It was a Phone conversation.

No English test but if you have IELTS, you can access extra academic excellence scholarship but your CGPA will be considered too.

I was only given $3000 which is tied to my academic performance after my 1st year.
