Hello everyone, nice to see you all. I have read all 28 pages and I already have the insights on how to relocate as registered nurse. But I need someone who can actually send me all the full procedures to my email. God bless Janetapata20@gmail.com |

@crushsugar, May God bless you for this thread. I can tell you I read from the beginning till this last page uninterrupted. Thank you for all you do. You're so patient. I am writing this on behalf of my wife. She's got a BSc in Nursing & also got another certificate in Nursing school, Jos. We would like to kickstart our process to relocate to the UK. She has really been skeptical because she said doesn't want to live us behind ( I mean Me & our 3months old son) She would like us all to go together. From the comments so far, I can tell it's the financial power that can determine if we can go together right? 1. Can WE as a family be given a Visa? I am not in the medical line but I don't mind being a carer for our baby while she works because I have started a course in IT which I can do from home. 2. From your response to someone, you adviced about registering on NMC even before writing IELTS. Why's this? Because she just wants to begin IELTS tutorials so she can be ready for the exams. 3. I hear people talk about the CV. Where does this come in? After IELTS or before & why? Please do send me a sample copy to chidobill00@gmail.com 4. As the husband, do I need proof of funds before we're issued a visa? What is expected of me. Since our boy is only 3months, can he be allowed to travel at that tender age. I just need a guide because I really want us to relocate. I would appreciate if you can breakdown the process for me so I can show to her so can be gingered about it because it was until her friend told her that her family can join her that she developed the interest with the IELTS tutorials. Thank you & God Bless. Y'all advice is welcome. |

Arhmiee: Hi Arhmiee, I found your post using Google. Are there other lucrative options apart from adult nursing. My sister has a degree in nursing Bsc and I plan that she goes to UK. I read that university of Bedfordshire is not that expensive. What's the school fees like? Is it paid monthly? What are the steps? What about securing a job after studies? You can leave bullet points for me to Google and research myself. |

Re: Adventures Of A UK Bound Nurse by honeycrown(m): 1:36pm On Jul 09, 2021 |
akaahs:I will say that you really don't need to use agency. My wife didn't use one. She had 10 offers from different NHS trusts in the UK. We decided to go with the one that was ready to tick maintenance for the family. We're in Wolverhampton now since last year. Moreso, if I'm right, the latest update now is that agencies won't be allowed to recruit directly from some countries which Nigeria is part of. If you're going to get job in care homes, that's why you could say you need agencies. Though carehomes pay higher than the NHS, but getting job with NHS gives more stability in terms of job sustainability. I've worked my wife through all the process of relocating to the UK from the beginning when the journey started, now we're in UK going to 10 months now. 8 Likes 1 Share |

akaahs: OSCE is the final exam you need to write in the UK in order for you to get your PIN to become a UK registered Nurse. You write the exam as an international Nurse, and you will be working as either band 3 or band 4 nurse (i.e working as HCA- Health Care Assistant) until you become a registered nurse (band 5) that's when you have your PIN. 3 Likes |

honeycrown: O woow, my wife is a registered nurse here in Nigeria and she is eager to leave. The last time we tried an agent, she got an email from them telling her, she isn't qualify because she is working with a rural hospital with less than 200 bed space. Again, they looking for BSN holder. What's the link to get started with NHS? How can one know if they are genuine? |
Re: Adventures Of A UK Bound Nurse by akaahs(m): 3:26pm On Jul 09, 2021 |
honeycrown:Thanks ma. My wife is the registered nurse and is eager to travel out. The last time she tried, she got an email disqualifying her because she has no BSN and lack experience in over 200 hundred hospital bed space. She has post basic in perio. |

akaahs:She got an email from who? UK doesn't discriminate against University graduate Nurses and Diploma nurses. What they are interested in is to confirm if one is duly registered with the regulatory body of the country where she was trained and they don't require that specific experience you mentioned. I think it's USA that always demand for experienced nurses in a hospital with more than 200 beds. The first step someone that intend to travel to the UK will take is to register and write IELTS. If you pass, you can then start your application proper like NMCN verification, getting your transcripts, writing CBT, etc. There are many recruiting agencies that will even rush you when you pass IELTS. I advise that you consult a reputable agent that has guided someone on this before. NB: I'm not an agent 3 Likes |
