And he is also the number 1 front striker leading the attack in their 4-2-3-1 formation. Sterling is behind the line. So he is most likely to score. But you are right, it won't be easy to score against Italy. They will sweat for it.

It's baffling that no one has recommended any of the players in that English backline that is yet to concede a goal from open play. However, Sterling has been superb so far; regardless of the controversial penalty he won for his team in the penultimate game of the tournament.
