The Nigerian Police Trust Fund 2021 budget was approved N74Billion.

There are several interesting items there such as;
1 Specialized attack helicopter fully armored and weaponized
Repairs for Bell 412,206,427 helicopter
6 Fixed wing drone with range 0f 100-150km
10 Tag Terrier APC
Purchase of AR 15 Variants
like M4A1, CQBR, SIG SAUER 551/552, HK G36K ( Assault rifles for newly formed SWAT)

Nice acquisitions, but i could have loved if we purchased profoce APCs or we purchase those APCs in more quantities

For just 10 vehicles?

I disagree.

They recently supplied 3 APCs to Imo state government.

They did not supply any vehicles to NIMASA, now this Police contract.

If we are talking 100s of vehicles that would be different.

I don't know why some people are so foolish on this thread, you lifted someone's emotional thoughts without without asking him first, he put it on his story where it would disappear , you came to put it on a permanent website, he penned down his disapproval about putting it here, common sense didn't tell you to remove it. If tomorrow the army opens a BOI regarding the matter tomorrow and his life is ruined you will be saying eyah, army why.....same goes to bidexxi, and all the idiots that goes to lift content, without common sense.

When others research "in-depth" for themselves the text books evidence will be there for them to decide this, not you or me. Ultimately you or i did not go out on the field, researched for years, made discoveries and published our findings. We are shamefully relying on white people's work and as is evident in what you read and what I read, how they differ, they can twist information to fit thire political agenda or peddle contradictory evidence because they are unsure and still benefit from book sales. Besides of this, common sense should tell us migration flows from greatest numbers to lowest. Igbo number approximately 30/40 million in present day Nigeria. Where the are now in Nigeria is almost certainly their original homeland.

Nah it's almost entirely from Cameroon let it to. wink

Rwanda is not the richest country in Africa or the most powerful country in terms of military equipment.
But deploying 1000 troops to Mozambique to help fight Islamic insurgents, shows that African problems can be solved by Africans in the best interest of Africans.

Will see how they fair. How strong are the insurgents down there?

We will not.

We are not China. China has the world's largest number of quality and advanced engineers.

China can do somethings and get away with it because they are a very, very important country.

We need to hire a couple more experienced engineers from abroad.

BRIG GEN AS CHINADE TAKES OVER COMMAND OF DEPOT NA
………as Maj Gen AB Ibrahim bids farewell to the home of the Buffalo

Following the recent redeployment of senior military officers and in a bid to strategically reposition the Nigerian Armed forces for optimal performance, a new Commandant, Brigadier General Aminu Chinade has officially assumed duty today 12 July 2021 as the 35th Commandant of the Depot Nigerian Army (Deopt NA), Zaria.
Brigadier General Chinade took over from Major General Abdusalami Bagudu Ibrahim the 34th Commandant, who is now to proceed to Nigerian Army Head Quarters Abuja as the Chief of Training, in charge of all training for the Nigeria Army.
While addressing officers during the ceremony, the outgoing Commandant, Major General Ibrahim expressed his gratitude to the officers and soldiers of the prestigious institution for their support, commitment and unity displayed during his tour of duty and admonished similar support and loyalty be extended to the new Commandant.

Major General Ibrahim described the new Commandant as a regimental Infantry officer who is no stranger to the institution and added that he is sure Brigadier General Chinade's wealth of experience in training will be brought to bear in turning raw civilians into professional soldiers, who are ready to accomplish assigned mission within a joint environment in defence of Nigeria at the home of buffalo.

In the same vein, the incoming Commandant, Brigadier General AS Chinade thanked the outgoing Commandant for his foresight and achievements in the area of training, infrastructural facelift and maintenance of regimentation in the institution. He reiterated that he will sustain the tempo and further urged all officers and soldiers of Depot NA to be proactive and continue to imbibe discipline in the discharge of their duty.
Highlight of the event was the signing of the handing and taking over notes, decoration of the incoming Commandant with Depot NA insignia and hoisting of Depot NA flag which marks the symbol of authority in the Institution, as well as inspection of the Quarter Guard.
