andrew444: Read before arguing. I also picked Immobile but I put dicy because of what Calvert Lewin brings to the table with respect to his work rate and defensive support for the team.

andrew444: Jude Bellingham is still there. We are not talking of Mount. Then they still have Hudson Odoi. We are not even talking of the upcoming quality like Liam Delap and Cole Palmer. |

andrew444: I disagree. What of Mount? England is too loaded offensively. It is not even a debate. Remember, Lingaard did not come. |

TheGoodJoe:oga the English fa too like to take premature players to big tournaments jus because of mere hype which tend to burn these youngsters out in the future just mk em be say dem Cary one of the youngest squads go the competition I bet you that if chillieni and bonucci re English dey will be tagged old. Same goes to florenzi and veratti All this mount, Bellingham, saka etc re not matured enough to withstand the pressure that comes with big competitions as the euro or world cup Na so dem do sotey burn Michale Owen out 2 Likes 1 Share |

TheGoodJoe:does the italian team possess mediocre players? the england coach gave each and everyone of those selected players you have mentioned a chance. yes they are quality players, but you saying the coach could not bring the best out of them is what i don't agree with. 1 Like 1 Share |

Rockyrascal: Southgate played 3 central defenders most times, a right and left back and two defensive midfielders. Does that look like a coach that can get the best of a team that boast of some of the best offensive players in football today? |

charlesemeka85: Actually, nothing much in what you are saying. Saka had a good tournament. Bellingham was brilliant when he played for Dortmund. In the game against Manchester City, he stood out home and away. Sancho does not even need a debate. He is one of the very top players in the Bundesliga. Foden wad tremendous in the Premier League and Champions League. Mount? He was exceptional too. This is not about rushing young players to a tournament. These are top performing players. By the way, Michael Owen was extraordinary. Heck, did he not win the ballon d'Or? 1 Like |

Rockyrascal: To you. I see football as a long distance race, not sprints. Build a formidable side over years. What Southgate is doing is throwing away the development of the team for results alone, which is short term. Over time, if he continues this way, England won't become a strong offensive side they are capable of becoming. |
