Vicas2000 - Give what is caeser's, unto caeser........ And what is of UKBA to UKBA......... cheesy

What do you think your strongly worded letter would do?..... It would simply give them an impression, you have something to hide.......

Let's assume you want to start seeking legal redress...... Each letter a lawyer writes, would cost you about £110.00 (just the beginning of charges).....

When I applied for my children's pp, it was only my first daughters, that was straightforward..... For the other 2, rules changed in between and they asked for slightly more documents........ I gave to UKBA, what was UKBA's .......... cheesy

Lmao. No problem. I already did this morning before I saw your response anyway.

Due to the restriction of COVID19, UKVI is not conducting interviews at the moment. The only interview you will be doing is for PreCas, which will be carried out by your school

Has long as it's not stated on your CAS(as condition you must meet). However most schools don't require IELTS

Sorry lexus i have some questions:

What property inspection report will the applicant for spouse visa be made to conduct?

Also no landlord will grant permission for subletting? Landlords do not hold back consent you know expect they sense a danger/activity that could impact the property or its dwellers negatively.
For example I remember when i used to rent from ahency. Before taking on a property i declared my intentions to sublet the second room and the agency accepted my request and clearly stated it should be subletted to just one person as there is a maximum number of dwellers for a property.

With all these shared please Can you share a link where the uk law terms subletting as illegal? I am really curious.

Also if the applicant stays in a massive shared house, then it will be a big guess that the landlord has a HMO license.

At the time when I applied for my spouse visa, my hubby nd i werent even renting yet. We were staying with family. Neither of our names were on the agreement, but we submitted the tenancy agreement like that from the actual tenants. We wrote a letter truthfully explaining our living condition and how we were expecting to move to a place of ours as soon as we settle as newly wedded. We also got a letter from the landlord confirming his awareness about our presence in the property.

Lexus i dont know if any of these things i said does make a difference My whole point is i don’t think the applicant is in a difficult or complicated position really But hey as you rightly said the cost for a spouse visa is very high as such application should be done meticulously. The applicant can decide to take up your suggestions to be on the safest side. Also dear applicant it wouldn’t be a very bad idea to voice out your concerns to a lawyer who does free consultation (i hope the applicant reads this)

You were subletting a room in the whole house that you rented alone - I bet way before the new tenancy changes that now makes eviction almost next to impossible unless you have deep pockets. And then of course some agents can be very unscrupulous and only care about tenanting the house so they can pocket their commission. It's not impossible but highly unlikely.

I actually my fiance back in naija ,but on getting here and working In a mental health hospital I see how men get destroyed here when they divorce .I am definitely getting a prenup ,I am not an age where i can afford to lose everything I 've worked for to start again. The reality is a prenup can protect both husband and wife from taking each others assets when they break up and it's not necessarily the husband alone that can lose property ,I will also have the wife sign a prenup against me so it's balanced ,if anything happens I don't want her money.Concerning oyinbo girls mehn ,I really hate this place ,I ve not even hooked up with any white lady since I got here ,u have to be walking on eggshells so it doesn't turn to harassment. You go to gym everybody just does their thing ,no hello no hi .Mehn I am definitely establishing connections in naija and be going there regularly for refreshment with fresh blood ..

A pre-nup is almost next to useless in the UK. It will be vetoed or set aside by the divorce courts if it is unfairly balanced against one spouse or disadvantages the children in any way. Plus you both need to also pay for separate legal advice before a pre nup is signed. My advice is be prepared to ask and fight for 50/50 custody where children are involved and get involved in the rearing of the children from day 1 so the mother is not the de facto primary care giver because that is where most issues arise from

Prenups are generally a waste of time at this level.
Dont get married in the first place.
An unregistered partnership is fine.
Draw up a will and dispose of your property as you wish.

PLease between Revolut and Starling Bank which is the best one can use without fear of it being blocked or customer support issues?

Lexusgs430:

I use all 3........ grin

Revolut is good, if you also intend to buy shares, commodities and cryptos + ease of international money transactions (£ to $ to €).........

Monzo is good for account organisation and pays you good interest, for a combined balance of £2K...... You also get free device and travel insurance, with Monzo premium......

Plus discounted RAC breakdown cover and a host of others (but the aforementioned, are all I use)......

Starling is also good, plays a backup for me (an account I can hide money, I don't want Madam to see)........ Till I confess...... cheesy

Brosses, this is damn scary o.

For those who might eventually consider divorce, (those married in naija and relocated) is it better to come back to naija and process the divorce? Assuming both parties are holding tier2 visa and the wife is the dependant?

Or the most aggrieved party, would drag the other to a Nigerian divorce court.....
