Please, has anyone here ever applied for US passport for a derivative? What document is needed? I am the US citizen and the derivative is child of mine 9yr old who is a PR. I read something about legitimization of the child through the court. |

Was hoping you would have gotten an interview letter already, since your PD is one month from the earlier commenter who said an acquaintance already got visas. Guess we will never know for sure the pace at which the embassy is moving, we just have to wait. |

I want everyone waiting to be current or now current to know that there is a very long queue of backlog right now at the Lagos embassy. The implications of this is that there are thousands of others in same category as you who were current before you and will be attended to before it gets to your turn. So even though you are current now, you must also wait for your position in the queue to be current before you can even dream of interview letter. |
