She would have been told to fill an online form for registration and this options you mentioned was what she filled, or it could be an error from IOM, of which there would have been a screen where she could have corrected it. In reality it should not be an issue, but you can have it corrected for a fee. Your wife should be student without scholarship while you and your son should be settlement with dependants.

Just study the Pre Cas preparation documents they sent but The summary is:
The number 1 question was my Student Id, please memorize that. Know all your course modules, why you choose Sheffield hallam Uni and what you know about Sheffield City, about accommodation- where you plan to stay, how much it cost and how far away it is from the Uni, whether you wanna work in the UK and why, what you presently do and how much you earn, why you choose your course and how it's related to your previous course of study, if you have dependants coming with you and what they plan to do in the uk, closest airport to Sheffield and how far it is to Sheffield, Organisations you plan to work for after completion of your studies. These are the much I can remember

Open a dorm account and get a dollar MasterCard. Fund the account (you will likely buy at a black market rate), then pay with your card. Or get a trusted person who has dorm account and they pay for you

So does it mean it's adviceable to do priority visa for main applicant while dependants do standard visa, since decision will be made for all same day instead of priority visa for main applicant and dependants.

Cos am planning to do a priority visa for main and dependant as well.

As an alternative, you can explore the option of priority for the adults and standard for minors. I don’t see a way they would treat the priority for adults and leave the minors.

The Visa vignette has a 90days validity period, if they dont travel before it expires then that's a whole different process again.
