The system in Nigeria is not working, even if you are paid 500k. No security, no good road, no electricity and many more.

actually, where I am currently working is not where my personal building is and I did not start working yesterday! I built my house about four years ago and bought my car about two years ago (I saved for a year plus for the car!).
Where I am working now, I stay in a rented flat of about 120k per year and ironically, in the same town you can get an apartment of exactly the same specification for 250k per year and many of my colleagues stay in such

It depends on the state you are in... In Lagos, Abuja, PH and some high cost states, #500k is ok. Then in other low cost states, 250-300k is ok.

From my calculations, I agree with you especially for the high cost states

How much do you save up monthly for the car and land?
Do you get other income aside your salary?
Lastly, what year did you start saving for the car and land and when were they purchased?

Same with me. 320k monthly and single and I don’t waste money on women and drinks. Before month end I don broke. As I’m typing this I’m even broke
