I'll never support 25k. 30k is fine, and driver must handle oil and filter change, brake pads, and linkages.

Any driver not making money right now with this daily surge and gives excuses is lazy. I recommend you retrieve your car.

I have nothing to hide. Sky can accommodate everyone. My accusers haven't done better. All they do is complain. I don't take them serious. You can never have a sane discussion with lazy people. They'll want to drive you to their level, telling you you work too hard.
Funny thing is, my earnings increased when I started teaching others privately. Teaching them how I do it didn't decrease my performance but increased it.
Good morning bro I have sent you an email please reply so that we can talk, I really need your assistance
Please I need you to enlighten me more on this e-hailing business. I will be grateful if you can do this for me

Sorry about your job loss.

You’re sure covered. There’re places like Lagos Island you’d just avoid for a start because of traffic offenses as they have many one-way.

You also tell riders if they wouldn’t mind to point you in the right direction.

So, what’re you still waiting for?
thank tou so much. I really do appreciate you all

Hi, even those who were born in Lagos don't know all the routes in Lagos. I advice you use Google maps, and always ask riders to help out. You will also encounter riders taken you dead areas especially on the mainland. Goodluck
Thank you so much. I am highly encouraged.

Get very very comfortable with using Google maps... You can start right now where you're based. Use it to navigate anywhere you're going whether you know the way there or not. Once you've mastered it, you're good.
Other things you should know as a driver, obey all traffic laws. You'll be fine.

I didn't know beyond ikoyi lekki and yaba when I started, Google maps took me 90% of the the way.

If you don't know your way or your app is malfunctioning, be humble and tell your rider, many don't mind giving you directions.

Nobody started with a full map of Lagos in their heads, you'll be fine too.
God bless you for this encouragement

Reason I don't share experience again or give advise any more.

Up till today I've not shared my experience with area F police on a Friday night and how the commissioner himself came through and I doubt if I'll even share it. Let people fall prey so that by then those Londoners and Americans can come through for them with their own experience abroad since Nigeria and abroad are now the same.

Nissan are good cars especially for transportation purposes but the honest truth is I've never used a Nissan b4 so I don't have first hand experience.

But with the sizes of the engine both are ok just go with the one you think is more presentable to yue eyes for the sake of your rating.

The bolt rating system is very poor, a driver can easily be kicked out of the system within few weeks or a month but you could stay longer on the uber system even with 1star rating from riders.

Civic 03-05? Never used it, I personally don't like the car because of its size. I feel drivers will not like it either because it may affect rating. But with some pimping up, bigger rims and tyres, like the one I saw here last week. I have had a rethink, and am currently searching for one to buy. Car is as rugged if not more rugged than the Corolla, parts are cheaper too and fuel consumption is better.
The only disadvantages are second hand value and car size. With the good fuel consumption it should deliver 30k

I must have mixed you up with someone else.

I was going to buy a Civic but changed my mind at the last minute and went for a matrix. Following these reviews, the next vehicle I'm also putting on ehaling will be a civic.

And you may also want to consider those painted Gold. Saw one yesterday and it looked really good.

In terms of speed it ok
Look is perfect
Ruggedity is rank it lower to the Corolla
Fuel economy is perfect provided everything is in good shape
Body is stronger than the Corolla but 2nd hand value is the main issue here.

My main issue with the car is, same way the ground clearance is low is same way the inside is also low and there's nothing you can do about the interior lowness and where thus lowness affect is your body. It can cause you seripus waste and back pains.

I've used these two cars so believe me when I say.

When you say ruggedity, you mean it's more likely to breakdown than a corolla?

Depends on how much u make a day, riders purse and Ur negotiating power.

25k a day is fine. At least he will not be moving around throughout the day. So less than 5k fuel.
But if rider is doing delivery job from point to point then 30k. Last
Another option, he can just ask for the amount he nets daily, and the rider will be responsible for fueling the car so.

That's not the defination of ruggedity to me.
But if that's the true defination then I will say yes, down time is more if not often with the civic than with the Corolla.

My current car is a Corolla 08, I got it tokunbo and I'll say it's going to 3months now on thr platform and only the left leg bushing n linkage has been changed so far. But with the civic tok I rented then more than 200k was spent to revibe it b4 work yet over 45k was still spent barely after a month in the platform... I did higher millage on the Corolla than the civic within this period.

I hope you get. What I'll advice is, stick with what you're already use to this is not the time to start hypothezing cars now just get the one you're used to and make your budget work around it. Mind you dame mechanic won't work on the two cars so stick to one.

For how much?
Mukah1234:

Good morning team,

I really appreciate your piece of advise as regards this. It helped!

So I finally got a few months used naija used Corolla 04.

This experience made me understand practically how difficult getting a manageable naija used vehicle is.

It’s either you see a car with clean body (most likely repainted), chilling AC but with a almost dead engine, a car with sound engine but with a rusted interior and underbody, or you see a car with everything almost perfect but car seem stolen following the countenance of the seller and seller being unable to provide the papers of the vehicle.

Just as advised, I contacted Blackbishop to assist check the cars I already chose. The truth is base on my experience with Blackbishop, he is a professional I would always recommend to anyone for auto issues and resolution enquiries. Baba’s customer service is great too.

After all inspection he recommended this Corolla. Car isn’t all perfect but it requires just minor repairs.

Thank you all.

*SPECIAL INFORMATION!!!!!*

If your vehicle is in that flood and you havent started your engine. Don’t start it!!!!!!!

Even if the vehicle is submerged and the water goes down. It’s likely water has made its way into the engine.

The first thing to do is open your engine air filter and check for moisture. If it’s moist or damp, DO NOT CRANK THAT VEHICLE!!! DO NOT ATTEMPT TO START IT. .

Allow the water go down, tow it away if possible. Get your mechanic to drain the engine oil immediately. Also drain the transmission fluid. Do not take the risk of trying to drive that vehicle.

Let the mechanic disconnect the fuel sending unit ( fuel pump), pull out the spark plugs one after the other and then crank the engine. You want to make sure water in each cylinder is blown out of the engine by the compression / exhaust stroke.

Once completed for all the cylinders. Connect the fuel pump ( easiest way is to remove the relay or the fuse ) and start the vehicle. It may idle rough. Leave it. Do not rev it. Allow that vehicle idle for some 30 minutes

Once it’s up to operating temperature, ( because you have replaced your transmission fluid ) engage the gears one after the other. From P to R wait 5 seconds R to N wait another 5 seconds N to D wait again. D to N again N to R and R to Park. After this. You can drive.

Personally once I get the vehicle going again, I’d replace both fluids after another week or two depending on how milky they look.

Thank you

Baba, we cannot keep doing things the same way and expect a different result. Corolla now na 2.5m. Matrix self don pass 2m.

I read elsewhere you said you drove the civic for 8 months. Can you remember the cost of all the repairs done within this time frame? To put into perspective, in the last 8 months, I have spent roughly N300,000 maintaining my Corolla inclusive of 5 oil changes and filter.
