the Uber model was never designed for rentals. If it was, functions would have been built in the app for transparency to both parties.

Nigerians did what they did best and tried to make more money out of someone's business model and this confusion is the result. Why all these issues? Because owners cannot verify renter trips and have no access to view. Of it was, rental agreements could be based on percentages to make it fair to ask parties but it is not. Why? BECAUSE UBER WAS NOT BUILT FOR THIS.

Uber would never have expected drivers to rent vehicles for this purpose (and in other countries it actually disqualifies you from driving).

Uber would have never expected two drivers to share an account.

Uber would never have expected all the creative saka which is why there are loopholes in the software. They never encountered such.

Uber would have never expected drivers to request themselves which is why in other countries there is no problem with having both driver and today app to my knowledge.

Nigerians did what they do best and shocked the crap out of Uber smiley

On point,
LMAO drivers still shocking the crap out of Uber/bolt by driving for 20hrs out of 24hrs everyday of the week without breaking down. (Are they Robots or human).
By arriving in ikeja to pick rider but driver is in lekki.
By chupping all the bonus everyday wether 60trips or 10trips, dey will clear it.
By driving cars without AC and driver is not blocked or reported.

Naija too much

Uber has invited me for a physical roundtable discussion on how to improve their app and driving experience on their platform. I already have my list of prayers for them which include

1. Display of rider's destination (riders believe we see it, but I tell them it's only on bolt)

2. Recruitment of more partners to reduce incidences of long pickups ( today I was around adekunle and got a trip from uba building)

3. Penalizing riders who request and fail to answer their calls. You can't slide arrived on Uber you need drive down to PU

4. Rider verification

5. Reduction of commission to 15 or 20% and regular promo for riders.

Pls, feel free to add yours so as to present it tommorow. Thanks

See yourself... Only a fool will believe all of these your dashboard nonsense in this present world of Photoshop...

If truly you're driving chasing bonus and trying to gross N50k daily you won't even have the time to come here to respond to my episode- reason i made it long because it would have cost any serious driver 1 long trip or 2short trips to read and understand its content.

Secondly, it's your word against you. You have simply forgotten so fast, "I don't socialize, no WhatsApp, no this no that"... Oga what are you doing here? Does this look like news paper page?

Continue oooh we are watching you in black and white TV.

Only time shall tell Mr. Ade only time shall tell
Like I said, I'm busy. I Don chop the bonus, now 7,200 to go.

I have question guys please...

Can you pick the area you want to drive in?

Say you are on the mainland, can you filter for only requests on the mainland? So that for example, you don’t have to go to the island.

Can you see where the driver wants to go to before hand? If you can’t, how do you deal with that? What if someone requests a ride and you can’t see the destination, then when you get there, they say “Take me to Abuja” from Lagos shocked

Please experienced drivers, help me with answers

I had same experience yesterday. The order was made by the theid party. So obviously, the the person I carried didn't know what the estimate was. Getting to destination, rider con dey fume as if sey na me write the amount. Na just 5300 o. They said the driver that took them there collected 2600. Just imagine. Mine was on 1.9 surge with plenty traffic. I collected my money sha o
nickvanilla:

That is how I finished a trip this afternoon, rider called out like two of his family members who came and started speaking grammar for me. I just cross my hand dey rest for the side of my car. They were even asking me if the fee included taking them back to the pick up point. I for begin laugh but I no just dey in the mood.

After wasting like 15 minutes of my time arguing and asking jamb questions, the most senior guy among them brought out his phone and reluctantly transferred the money with a frown plastered on his face.

Some people don't even bother to check the prices before ordering. Whether it's on surge or not. For me, that's irresponsible. It's like entering a restaurant and not bothering to know the prices of items on the menu.

But who should be blamed? The cost of maintaining automobiles has skyrocketed recently. So definitely cost of transportation should increase.

Wait, are you saying Uber drivers can’t see the destination for potential riders?

That makes no sense though, what if the rider is going to a place you don’t wanna go to?

Going the analog way solves all these problems.

May I know what area you are going?
Rider responds if they are not heading to dead zone, but the moment you hesitate, I cancel right in your presence.

I updated my app and bolt are owning me 20k+ They have options of early cashout.

What does it means?

You can request to transfer your money before due date which is always Monday.

Thank you BOLT

The grind this week has been easy peasy. No stress whatsoever. And the cheddar is rolling in.

Good to know that you can just cancel those instead of waving the white flag when the rider finally tells you.

Uber can never try this in developed countries.

Anyways, thanks for the info, I’m gathering as much info as I can to know of this is worth it.

I can't be eating Bolt pounded yam, then someone is calling me to leave that sumptuous meal for garri. It won't happen.

I know some of their agents are here, I remember when I shared a tip of checking surge without checking the app. When I tried it few weeks back, Uber has removed their portion, prior to that declaration, it used to be there on Gmap. grin Or is it my phone, that's one hell of a coincidence sha.
