There was a charge back on your account when application fee was perhaps made.

Use webform to explain, what happened?

I stand corrected but sometimes the notification you get when your medicals is updated can still have current status to be Application/profile updated, when you click it, you will see that medicals has been updated.

That's true for medicals, still an update.

Yes ,I saw Application/profile updated ,clicked and saw medical passed .Later I went back and saw just submitted no longer Application updated.

Again I didn't get any notification that I have an email .It was when I logged in I just saw that update which later changed to submitted .

I don't know if it is normal to get an update with a notification from them.

EmeeNaka:
if there is any change in your Status after the update, like eligibility changes or Medicals Passed, it's not ghost update. Usually, with Ghost update, you don't notice any change in your Status.

Ok.my eligibility started since last month ,just the medicals passed ,Maybe it is not the ghost update ,I was just surprised when it changed from Application updated back to just submitted.

PPR! Third time is the charm.

I had extensive and clean travel history, employment history, solid proof of funds but i had no home tie and to make matters “worse” i had just made a career change. My refusals were formed around home ties and purpose of visit which i unsuccessfully tried to address with SOPs and study plans for over two years. I couldn’t conjure home ties where there was none neither could i continue in my old career. I was at a fix so i angrily decided to push it to the back burner and carry on with my life and career as they were.

As it is with strong desires regardless of passage of time, i found myself on this journey again more determined than my past. On the submission date, i prayed for speed and good news and specifically requested for my application to be finalized before the end of July. Today, i praise God from whom all blessings flow.

Application submitted-21st April
Upfront medicals- 21st April
Medicals updated-19th May
Eligibility and ghost updates- i didn’t keep tabs
Ppr- 21st July

Documents submitted
Admission letter, tuition deposit receipt
Proof of funds- Real estate documents, employment documents of main sponsor and myself as well as bank statements, payslips, introduction letter, e.t.c total funds exceeded nse requirements.
Personal documents such as birth certificate
Academic documents

God bless everyone who answered my many questions. I hope everyone on this thread experiences even greater joy than i have today and those who have had refusals find the resilience and assistance needed for a successful reapplication. Amen.

LONG POST ALERT!

Praise God, Thank God!!!!

This is a testimony for me.

Hi Everyone,

I have been a silent and few times not a silent reader all along☺.

This study permit application process started since December 2019 which was when I made up my mind that I will pursue my post graduate program in Canada.

I applied for admission to Seneca College February 2020 and got LOA after a day for a competitive program (I felt wow, This was fast! maybe God is preparing me for an easy journey) unknown to me that challenges are ahead of me (Sigh, life!)

However, after applying for study permit on March 26th, 2020 through a famous agent, I got refused on May 12th, 2020. Then, I reapplied again the second time with the same agent on July 7th 2020, which also came back with refusal on October 5th 2020.

I was very sad and traumatised, felt really bad and never wanted to reapply again because I felt what was the point since I have been receiving a negative feedback from IRCC. Nothing made sense to me as my plan was to leave Nigeria immediately after NYSC. I thought it would be easier since I had travelled to Canada before for holidays.

So, for the third time (Nigeria can frustrate itself) I applied again with the assistance of FrankRobbn1's (fandrglobal.com). He submitted all the necessary documents on the 20th of January, 2021 and drafted a well-thought argument to support my case including NSE requirements (IELTS 7.5) which brought about the successful outcome of my application on the 22nd of July, 2021 (6 months and 2 days).

This process was challenging, frustrating, overwhelming, nerve racking, tested my faith, belief, and my strength.

While waiting for an update, I also sent a stinker message to IRCC (that was how frustrated I was, it was bold of me but my tired was tired!)

Later, I started begging again everyday through mails and webform and finally sent a mail to the Minister of Immigration (MPs of Ontario were not fast enough for me) on July 3rd and got a response on July 18th and at a later date received PPR today 22nd July, 2021. So, maybe the enquiry from the Minister's office helped in the expeditious decision on my application.

I give God the glory and adoration, many thanks & salute to @Frankrobbn1(fandrglobal.com) who worked very hard on my case and I was able to successfully get an approval. @Frankrobbn1 (FandRglobal) was great!. He is caring and pays genuine heed to your problems and strives at coming up with solution. I must appreciate the services I received from him. He is very well equipped with wealth of knowledge and experience in dealing with Canadian immigration matters. I highly recommend to him to everyone who needs help in their difficult cases and refused applications.

I also give my thanks and appreciation to everyone of you for the selfless services rendered to people on Nairaland. I don't think I would have gotten this without everyone's help no matter how little. May the Lord continue to reward everyone and answer everyone's prayers.

My timeline is as follows:

First Application
Applied: March 26th, 2020
Refused: May 12th, 2020

Second Application
Applied: July 7th, 2020
Refused: October 5th, 2020

Third Application

Applied: January 20th, 2021
Upfront Medical: 8th March, 2021 (It was meant to be February 8th, 2021. I didn't have my hardcopy passport just the datapage photocopy, so I had to wait for another month‍♀ Don't be like me)
Upfront medical passed: April 16th, 2021
Passport Request and BVL: July 22nd, 2021.

I hope this post will stand to reduce the nerves, anxiousness in some people and give them hope that all shall be well and with God's grace by their side everything will all work out positively.

Please this is also a testimony for me, so wherever you are just help me thank God on my behalf and also thank FrankRobbn1 that helped in my application.

Also, if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.

Like we say what God cannot do, does not exist!!!!

PS: I wrote this before getting PPR hoping for a postive outcome

My refusals were formed around home ties and purpose of visit which i unsuccessfully tried to address with SOPs and study plans for over two years. I couldn’t conjure home ties where there was none neither could i continue in my old career. I was at a fix and my second refusal baffled me so much that i angrily decided to push it to the back burner and carry on with my life and career as they were. Every single time that i had to declare these refusals on any visa application made me feel like a failure all over again. It felt like i had good intentions to study but because i had no immediate family member in nigeria i was been judged and also being punished for changing my career. I was helpless and i hated it!

As it is with strong desires regardless of passage of time, i found myself on this journey again more determined than my past and i secured 3 admissions. Winnipeg’s PACE was my preference but my admission came late after i had made my tuition deposit to my second choice. I decided to engage a consultant to do the rest because I didn’t want to be emotionally invested and bogged down like before so i refused to put myself through it again.

My personal and professional circumstances had changed over the years so we put our best foot forward. They drafted my sop, i reviewed it, made minute correction and approved it. We applied without nse requirements since co-sponsor didn’t have mbs. On the submission date, i prayed for speed and good news and specifically requested for my application to be finalized before the end of July. Today, i praise God from whom all blessings flow.

God bless everyone who answered my many questions and reviewed my sop’s even as far back as part 5 and everyone who gives back to this thread. Lekiboboe’s posts guided me in my program applications, Insanity’s 2020 post guided me in my pp submission today and so many other posts that have proven insightful and helpful. I hope everyone on this thread experiences even greater joy than i have today and those who have had refusals find the resilience and assistance needed for a successful reapplication. Amen.
