Oh because they have foreign degrees means they are doing well? I know thousands of Americans with Ph.d who can't pay their phone bills. What is their standard income? Let's start from there so I school you. I am the greatest professor in diaspora affairs. None will come before or after me
BigDawsNet:

They are child of God...they can't do drugs

They actually have degrees in different University across the UK, they have a better job and standard income

There are more opportunities there because the people use their brain, Nigeria have more natural resources more than a lot of the countries they are going for greener pastures but they lack the mental capacity to build.....
It's not just the government, the pastorprenours are not different from the people in government.......

Just like black is the opposite of white.....
Builders and destroyers.....
. I agree with you on Nigeria having lots of natural resources. But, the resources are not well and properly utilised. The minimum wage is shit. As a government secondary school teacher, the salary is not even enough for me to get a good accommodation let alone have some good savings. The Nigeria of then and now is never the same. In the UK, they have no resources, yet they are living well. We have abundance of it but cannot make use of it. The brains of our leaders are completely dead.

I've had several opportunities to do so.

First one I was willing to go but then all of a sudden, I just found myself later rejecting the offer. I don't even know what really came over me then.

Another was when I had begun to walk at the level of the Spirit. It was in the early noughties when i was given an opportunity to relocate to Minnesota sometime in 2003, but I declined because by then my orientation had changed.

Although things weren't going fine, I had this strong belief that things would change, and that I was meant to be a part of the solution, so I just couldn't abandon Nigeria to go elsewhere, because I believed Nigeria needed me here.

At the time, I didn't know much about what i was doing, but over the years, I have come to realize that my decisions were actually Spirit-led, because I'm one of those that God planned to use to birth a new Nigeria He'd use to shake and shock the world, and let the world know that He's the Lord of all the Earth.

That's why when people see a hopeless situation, I see a huge opportunity for God. When people see chaos, i see the storm before a great calm. When people see a nation that cannot survive the present crises, i see a nation that would emerge from it the better. When people see a dead nation, I see a nation that would rise again, because I believe in God, and that which is impossible with men is possible with God, for with God nothing shall be impossible.

God bless.
“Part of the solution” lmaooo

My dream is that you relocate. Within 3yrs you will mail me privately. Nobody comes out from that hell hole alive. Nigeria is the richest country in the world, the opportunities in Nigeria is more than that found in Europe and North America combined.

Amen on your wishes on me relocating I appreciate. And I affirm to Nigeria being very Rich but I don't think we are the richest! Yes we do have opportunities here but what do you do when there is no political will to give an enabling environment for Growth! Of recent the Owner of PATRICIA a tech startup in Nigeria just moved it's headquarters to ESTONIA! due to the inconsiderate CBN rule on Bitcoin of which is obvious affected most BTC startups. It's visible even to the blind that this was done because they saw the effect of the Bitcoin relevance and the role it played during the ENDSARS protest. Last year , police stopped me at Ikeja and held me saying I'm a fraudster even after checking my phone and refusing to let me go. I had to drop money for them to free me cos they would put me in their van shoot me and no one would know! Now what about the cost of Feeding? Yesterday the Uber driver who carried me told me he's into Bean flour production but when a bag of beans went from 30k to 80K he just bent down removed his slippers , dusted it and ran for his life! Now do you know how many businesses have closed as a reason for that alone??

Omo make I just stop here abeg. It's true that we have rich and wealthy people in this country but compared to the US , Europe etc we are no where! See there is a reason why Most of the World billionaires come from the USA and Nigeria has few.

Opportunity to do what precisely? To set up a POS business? My friend move from my front. Just because you made some few thousand doesn't give you the right to call anybody lazy, shey I don come your house beg?

Do you know how many business are affected daily due to various policy that the government implement regularly or the effect from inflation and instability of the currency? sure FEW would see opportunities in it and make something out of it. But the fact that things have to favour just some FEW folks should tell you the reality in the country.

We all had this same dumbass reason that you are holding on to when we earning some few million but after a while if you are someone that is driven by something more than money you won't see the world with such myopic eyes and refer to anybody as lazy.

Yet many people travelled that same year and many others have travelled after 1987 and already changed their lives and that of their children and grandchildren for better. Donald Trump's grand father left Germany to settle down in the US way back before the year 1987, and we all know their stories today!

Thank God that you are not and can never be the president of those countries. Good or bad people migrate all over the world. I have seen Americans migrating to other countries...
You sound as if you don't know that Nigeria will kill all your dreams and aspirations hence the reason why you see Nigerians doing well abroad because they have a level playing ground.
So stop being bitter it is your choice to move or not to move... You will be worst than Idi Amin from the way you sound.

For starters my future is not in your hands neither do you have that power to determine what happens to anybody's tomorrow so get off your high horse. with people of your narrow minded mindset people like Kamala or Obama wouldn't have been political office holders so please speak with some level of intelligence

That being said yes we know other nationals migrate from one country to another but we all know why Nigerians are migrating. I am sure they are waiting for one imaginary superman to fix it.God gave you mind to strategize, hands to work and brain to think, why don't you apply it for the betterment of your country?

Other nationals go to other peoples country to work , earn a living and gather experience on how other nations built their country to be sane,Nigerians will come back to nigeria after years of toiling and Instead of bringing expertise and experience into nigeria they are bringing I waana gonna or bringing Steve marries Micheal Instead of retaining who you are and bringing in the positives, you carry the garbage enter Nigeria.biko let me hear word

I'm on oyedepo's side on this. I took same bold step but never regretted it. I'm an embodiment of God's favour and grace. Shebi we go the America sef, but I chose to return home after my program. I don't know if the highest earning Nigerian living overseas can match me in revenues monthly. I give them money each time I go America. Ordinary 100 dollar is like giving them millions. I had shared stories of my life and that of my uncle who used to work at Walmart in the past as stores officer. He shunned the flashy lifestyles over there and came back home, to introduce a solar inverter manufactured by trace engineering, USA which later became Xantrex. His friends booed him, they said village people had come calling, that he's been bewitched. This man today is a billionaire. He had a major leap in his business when the atm revolution erupted in Nigeria, he became favourite of old generation banks including the CBN for installation of inverters to power all their atms nationwide. Na foreigners like Indians for chop the whole money clean mouth, come pay our graduates employed with peanut.

Nigeria is a land of honey and milk. Na those in government God go punish for discouraging foreign investors from coming in through their selfish ends. Where I've stepped my feet into, none of our the leaders' children had had the opportunity to reach, in their entire life. I've been with Barak Obama, courtesy my profession in DAR Hall( Daughters of American Revolution Hall) near the white House in DC.

Do we have challenges? Yes, we do. Are they surmoutable? Yes they are. Buhari can't be in government forever. If pool comes to shove, we break up and we bear our fathers' names . We can still work together as neighbours in areas where each has a comparative advantage. I have a friend who had his masters and PhD in a university in NC, where he lives. Recently, I saw him posting tokunbo cars on his status for sale...an associate Prof selling used cars...what a life! Back home he'd be an oga in one of our universities where his service would be appreciated.

You achieved success in Nigeria individually doesn't mean living in Nigeria is better than moving to USA. If Nigeria is that wonderful, why is it the poverty capital of the world

100 million people in abject poverty.

It worked for you doesn't mean it'll work for others. They're a lot successful and wealthy Nigerians abroad. Everyone has different path in life. But wait, can't you see the level of poverty and suffering in this country? You can't look down upon or blame anyone looking for better opportunities.
He is in despair, because he has few cash in his account and he feels everybody is just lazy, when common sense would have made him aware that something as little as a change in his place and date of birth would have made a lot of difference on how his life would have turn out.

His statements easily make him a point of discuss. You don't see Baba Adeboye make controversial statements often like this. There are many people that have it big and average while some remain poor both home and abroad. That he is anointed and has been elevated to that level is not in his power. This can easily be seen as boasting. He is a public figure. He should be cautious of things he says. That's my own.

Bro, poverty, bad roads, poor electricity, unemployment, insecurity, etc. Is that not worse than working for hours and getting paid. Nigerians are slaves in Nigeria and we all know it. How can a university graduate earn ₦30000 monthly? How will he feed an entire family? Bro Nigerians are worse than slaves. I rather be a slave in Yankee than a nobody in Nigeria.

That's the issue, Nigerians have value to offer but the reality shows that at the end of the day you are more likely to be a nobody, even if your shine show you would still turn back and see the chaos in the country only to be left heartbroken.

My guy don't be unfortunate with this nationality pride rubbish here, Immigration is part of life and everybody from the most developed country still migrate to another country for various reason.

From you previous post, where would the knowledge for the solar panel have emanated from if your Uncle was in Nigeria and not in developed country? We are not done utilising the brains of those ones that are willing to stay to make changes but we are more bother about those that want to immigrant for whichever reason. My guy face front, there is nothing I dislike more than national pride just because you are earning some peanut from the country, you then become blinded by the obvious evil and lack direction prevailing this nation.
there's a yoruba addage that says no matter the State of your father's house, you don't point to your father's house with your left hand

No country is perfect, every country has their buts and all manners of nonsense they put up with.for example America is dealing with border crisis,a spike in gun violence, gang violence, violent protests etc but at least they're intentional about fixing the rubbish they created it's not as if they carry their bag and decide to leave. Or do you think any Nigerian is happy with all the chaos that is going on?

My point is if your house is dirty, carry broom and sweep out the dirts.mop out every place where dirt and parasites are likely to hide, empty the thrash and make it clean and attractive such that you will be happy to live in it and others will be happy to join you to live in.when you dirty a house, the next thing is not to abandon it and run to another person's house and beg them that you want to stay there.no matter the exploits you do for them or advancement you do to impress them they'll appreciate you no doubt but it will not change the fact that you're just living in their house but not part of them or their family

I do the one I am good at and intend to do more in order to have more income. Those people by the roadside are good at what they do. Even the harsh economy now is not sparing any of us. The salary earners, businessmen, roadside traders, companies and many more are feeling the heat of wrong policies. If Nigeria is fixed properly, not too many people would think of migrating.
