same here. i had to send another mail to Nairobi yesterday because my employer who approved a study leave asked for feedback since i indicated i will be leaving in August, they ought to have gotten my handover and actively looking for a replacement by now.

i never expected it to take this long. the wait is traumatizing, the self-doubt, fear, sleepless nights, anxiety. It will end in praise and it will become a thing of the past soon.

EmeeNaka:
the wait is taking it's toll on me too. It's not easy. But we will be fine eventually

Good morning
I applied May 14th and I have not seen any change on my application since after my biometrics update on May 27th. I intend to travel with my 2kids and I have been worried as my eligibility is yet to start. I am to resume September 7th . I sent a mail to Nairobi and I got this reply this morning . Does it mean my eligibility has started already

DOCUMENT SUBMITTED (I made a Table of Content for each Section and made it automatically clickable so that it wouldn't bother my beautiful VO if she needed to find any of my documents.)

Congrats!. I'm curious as to what you mean by clickable. Was it a pdf doc or website?

Hi guys,

It's my first time on this thread. I noticed there aren't any visa interview transcripts here versus the US visa thread.
Just curious, is there a reason for it? or I just haven't searched properly? Kindly point me to one if any.
Thanks.

This is tricky. Sometimes, I begin to wonder if actually, the Visa Officers read our messages or the message only end with Agents.

This is their normal format of reply. It's a generic response.

Omo, this is why people draft study leave themselves. You dont inform your employer about your travel plans cos what if it doesnt go through, visa denied, present job position in jeopardy.

i drafted it myself, and a member of my board of directors signed. it really isn't an issue. my first application was delayed and they are only trying to be sure if i am still going because i need like a month to handover and to employ someone else.

my only worry is, my application isnt following the usual dynamics i have seen here. i have seen people's eligibility starting months after submitting. my own eligibility changed and started like a day after i submitted, and that since April 18. it has been that way ever since. no ghost update since May when i passed my meds. gcms notes eligibility blank. so its a really worrisome situation.

It's better you get an updated SOA. your recent is almost expired. Get an updated one and upload it'll be better mind you a SOA is valid for a month or so.

Please guys,

Kindly advise.

I have an admission for a 3-year diploma in software engineering at a College.
My bachelors was in an unrelated course, but I do have 5 years of experience as a software engineer.

Has there been any visa success with people going to a college?

Also I only have personal funds for one year of the program (about 18k cad).

I would greatly appreciate any advise I can get from anyone.

Shommyface:
IT'S PPR!!!

LONG POST!!!!

MY GcKEY WATCH IS OVER!!!

#NairaLand Silent Reader Since 2018.

First and foremost, I want to thank God for this. The journey began in 2018, when I was finishing my Bsc in Malaysia. I applied to University of Calgary (Msc of Computer Science Thesis) 2018 after graduating with First Class in Malaysia, but UCalgary rejected me. In the same year, I applied to 5 different top universities and was rejected by all of them. Then, in 2020 I was so desperate, I applied to 10 top schools in different provinces and was rejected from all the 10. In my mind I was like, are they doing me from home?

I didnt give up, I didnt relent.

Then, in October 2020, I applied to only three of the schools I had been applying to (UCalgary, UAlberta, and UWaterloo), and by March 8, I received a response from UCalgary, who offered me admission with a FULL FUNDING of CAD 54,000 SCHOLARSHIP, meanwhile my tuition is only CAD 16,000 for the two-year program (I was like, Ehn ehn, Good news at the end)

More PPR in Jesus Name for everyone. God that did mine will do yours.

Hello Frank,

You have to send them the e-medical information via webform and you can also email it to Nairobi’s email address!

Frankalvinz:
Good morning all,

For those that did their Upfront Medicals after their applications have already begun processing.
Did you send the 'E-Medical' information sheet to IRCC yourself via Webform or was everything handled by the Clinic without you sending anything?

Thanks.

it's difficult to understand what's In the mind of the Visa Officers. My eligibility started after one month but a month after it started, it reversed, after I sent an updated LOA. It's really a tortuous journey

Application submitted (NSE o) - April 14

Upfront medicals was done before application was submitted.

Eligibility review status updated - July 21st

PPR and Correspondence letter - July 26th

Like I mentioned here before, my study visa to Australia was denied twice in 2019. I knew my chances were low because I applied for a certificate program (Post-secondary) despite having a BSC already. After the second refusal, I gave up on traveling.

My sister (sponsor) reached out to me sometime in February and urged me to consider Canada. For some reason, I was of the opinion that masters was the only option. In fact that was the reason I didn't consider Canada in 2019. After some research, I applied for a post graduate certificate in Global Business Management (Centennial College). Got my admission and I applied for student visa in April. The dreadful wait was long despite providing NSE documents. My PPR landed exactly 1:34am. @Teemenzo had stated over the weekend that my
PPR "will come soon like a thief in the night." And sure it did.

I must add that I'm not the most eligible applicant by a long stretch but like I do say, one must make the most out of every circumstance. My profile in it true self wasn't promising but certain things were in place and I leveraged on everything leverageable.

One of my biggest concern was proof of fund. I submitted my mum's account and sister's bussines account. The business account is the primary account. The balance was sufficient but my concern was that funds are never held for long periods (Red flag). She could have 15m today, and in the next couple of days, the balance could be as low as 100k and there was a period the balance was in negative figures -2m. I wrote the sponsorship letters myself, and I buttressed on some point I already stated in my SOP. Such as, Funds are not kept idle in the bank, they're held as inventories. In the sponsorship letter, I also stated my sister has a good standing status with her bank and is eligible to loan and overdraft facility. I mentioned I will be provided a monthly upkeep allowance of 1k cad. In the letter, I emphasized on my genuine access to funds and demonstrated it by having my sister send me 1.5 m to my account as upkeep allowance for the first quarter of my stay in Canada. I stated the date the fund for upkeep and tuition fee was provided to me. I didn't provide my personal account (I no get money sad. ) I transferred the fund provided to my barter virtual card. The card statement and screenshot of my account was submitted. At that time, the 1.5m was equivalent to about 3,200 USD. I would have preferred having the fund in a dormiciliary account of a recognised bank but time was no longer on my side.

In my SOP, I attached pictures where necessary, especially in regards to establishments. I also made my future prospect seem very promising in Nigeria. I disclosed my failures in business. "Setback" was the word I used and how studying in Canada will provide networking opportunities e.t.c I sha try to package myself wella

All in all, I consider myself fortunate and I am thankful to God. The information provided on this thread has been very useful. Special shout-out to @lekiboboe, @justmellow, @Frankrobbn1 and every other person that has one way or the other provided some sort of helpful contribution to this thread. Gracias to you all.

To those awaiting decision, I am wishing you all the best. And to those that got unfavourable decision, I have been in your shoes. If and when you decide to reapply, this community is going to be here for you. We all have the same goal.

Once again, I say thank you for all your messages.

Minors don't require SOP'S . Ages below 18 find it easier to get PPR compared to others. Just submit the required documents, that's all.

For SOP and LOE, any advise for a template when you have Minor applying for High school studies.
