He will definitely not go the USA. I don’t even see him going to jail in Naija if he is found guilty.

He is only trending because Nigerians see him as a Super Cop with Integrity. Many DCPs will not trend self on this issue.

Abba Kyari is like the new face of the NPF with integrity cool

i said over 300 people get shot daily in the US. i never said they died, i didn't mention suicide or mass killings.
I'm talking gun violence in general, regardless of fatalities.

Sane people are actually comparing US to naija police? For real? Like for fvking real?

Will US police tell you that bail is free and act otherwise? Or will they make your friends and family pay for pen and disinfectant when they come to bail you at the station?

Does the US police exchange people who for one reason or the other opt to pass the night in the police station with actual criminals in the cells in return for a fee and then kill them off?

Does the US police run concentration/death camps like those at Awkuzu SARS where thousands of innocents are tortured for days and murdered in the most gruesome ways possible, with their bodies vanishing for ever?

Does the US police habitually close off streets, arrest everyone they see there, charge them for robbery committed in the area weeks ago and make them bail themselves?

Is the US police in the habit of claiming accidental discharge? Yeah, they sometimes kill people for the fun of it, but do they claim accidental discharge?

Does the US police exist mainly to harass, extort, rob, kidnap and murder on a whim?

See, while the police in the US need work and reform, I would rather face an armed robbery gang or organ trafficker than most Nigerian policemen. Naija police are the stuff of nightmares and those of you who think otherwise probably because you feel you are connected will sooner or later have breakfast served to you hot hot.

As for those of you saying no massacre happened at Lekki, all I can do is forgo my atheism for a day and put you in my prayers.

The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) will set up a panel to probe Abba Kyari, one of its high-profile officers, over his alleged relationship with Ramon Abbas, the self-confessed international fraudster, TheCable understands.

The US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has already secured a court order for Kyari’s arrest following his indictment in the confessional statements made by the man better known as Hushpuppi.

TheCable understands that FBI has contacted Nigeria police over the warrant of arrest, but there is yet no official confirmation and the details are still sketchy.

An international warrant of arrest can be executed through the INTERPOL but there still has to be a judicial pronouncement before Nigeria can hand over Kyari to the FBI for trial in the US.

The police have been silent on the Kyari twist to the Hushpuppi saga.

But a senior officer who spoke with TheCable said the police hierarchy would first take an “in-house action” before any extradition process can be discussed.

“The police headquarters will set up a high-powered panel to probe the allegations against him before we decide on what to do next,” the officer informed TheCable without giving further details.

Hushpuppi was arrested in the UAE in June 2020 alongside 11 of his associates over allegations bordering on hacking, impersonation, scamming, banking fraud, and identity theft.

He had earlier pleaded guilty to the money laundering charges against him, putting him at the risk of 20 years imprisonment.

In a recent court document, the social media celebrity had alleged that he bribed Kyari to arrest a co-fraudster.

The crack investigator, however, dismissed Hushpuppi’s claim, saying he did not receive any money from the socialite as alleged.

Amid the ensuing saga, additional court documents seen by TheCable showed that the US district court in California had ordered the FBI to arrest Kyari.

The extradition of Hushpuppi to the US had followed after the UAE police detailed his arrest in a special operation dubbed ‘Fox Hunt 2’ where he was accused of defrauding 1.9 million victims to the tune of N168 billion.

The embattled Instagram celebrity was thereafter arraigned and detained at the Metropolitan Correctional Center (MCC) in Chicago ahead of his trial.

point was , police are bad in nigeria but also not perfect elsewhere. you can't compare both and i didn't. i posted a simple video of police assault, to show that Nigeira isn'tthe only place with bad cops.
I've said it before on this forum that cops in the US are overactive while those in naija just dont care. you can't compare both, same way you can't compare two different people.
And for all the hypothetical questions you asked, look deeper and you might find them happen right here in America, but such things aren't widespread obviously. cops can't be trusted. here or in Nigeria

When an arrest warrant is issued, I already know Nigeria will likely not cooperate. Unless he's arrested in another country. The same thing was done with the Air Peace CEO. Not as if there is no evidence, Nigeria just likes to harbour and protect the big criminals. That's why the country is not moving at all.
But the guy is still a suspect na! i thought suspect are considered to be innocent until proven otherwise by a competent court of law.

BY SAHARAREPORTERS, NEW YORK

A US Court document has detailed conversations between Nigeria's celebrated Deputy Commissioner of Police, Abba Kyari, and infamous suspected fraudster, Ramon Olorunwa Abbas, alias Hushpuppi regarding bribery and arrest of another suspected fraudster.

Hushpuppi, who recently pleaded guilty in the United States, had narrated how he bribed Kyari.

Officials said in court filings that Hushpuppi disclosed during interrogation that he paid bribes to Nigeria’s police chief, Kyari, to have one of his rivals arrested and jailed in Nigeria following a dispute over a $1.1 million dupe of a Qatari businessperson.

Abbas had asked Kyari to arrest and jail a fellow fraudster Kelly Chibuzor Vincent after both were locked in a dispute presumably over how to share the $1.1 million loot received from the Qatari businessperson.

Vincent subsequently contacted the victim and informed them that they were being scammed by a syndicate involving him and Abbas.

This elicited anger from Abbas (Hushpuppi), who contacted Kyari to arrest and jail his rival over the dispute. Abbas (Hushpuppi) said Kyari sent pictures of Vincent in jail and subsequently sent a bank account number to him (Hushpuppi) to which a wire transfer should be made having done a 'good' job as sent by Abbas (Hushpuppi).

But, Kyari had taken to his Facebook page to react to the allegation, claiming he only assisted Hushpuppi to get native clothes and caps worth N300,000.

Although he admitted to arresting Vincent, he said it was after Hushpuppi alleged that Vincent was threatening his family here in Nigeria.

Kyari denied knowing about the relationship between Hushpuppi and Vincent at the initial stage and later discovered Vincent and Hushpuppi had a misunderstanding over the said amount of money.

He also said he never demanded any money from Abbas (Hushpuppi), adding that they (Kyari and his team) were focused on saving people who were being threatened.

But, the court document proves otherwise, showing clearly that Kyari's claims were lies

According to the document, after an earlier discussion with Kyari, Hushpuppi requested for Vincent's (also known as Chibuzor) contact details, which the latter provided.

Hushpuppi forwarded the contact details to Kyari and on January 15, 2020, Hushpuppi sent an audio recording to Kyari via WhatsApp, stating that he wanted to remind Kyari about what they discussed earlier.

On January 16, 2020, Hushpuppi sent the following threats to Chibuzor: "I dey always tell people to think well before they offend me and make them make sure they fit stand the consequences when the time comes. I won’t say more than that but very soon, very, very soon, the wrath of my hands shall find you and when it does, it will damage you forever. At this point I no get discussion with you, you have committed a crime that won’t be forgiven, that is punishable and you shall receive die (sic) punishment in due time. I swear with my life, you will regret messing with me, you will even wish you died before my hands will touch you."

Later on, Kyari confirmed the arrest and detention of Vincent Chibuzor to Abbas (Hushpuppi), who requested for an account number to which he will send the bribe meant for Kyari's team members.

Hushpuppi also pleaded with Kyari to inform his team members to deal with Vincent like an armed robber.

The transcript of their conversation goes thus:

First, Kyari sent a message to Hushpuppi saying, “We would pick him today or tomorrow.”

Abbas (Hushpuppi) wrote, “I will take care of the team also after they pick him up.”

Kyari confirmed “Yes ooo.”

It also stated that on January 20, 2020, Kyari sent biographical, identifying information for Chibuzor to Hushpuppi.

Their conversation goes thus: Abbas (Hushpuppi) confirmed “that is him sir.”

Kyari stated, “We have arrested the guy . . . He is in my cell now. This is his picture after we arrested him today.”

After receiving the photograph of Vincent/Chibuzor, Abbas (Hushpuppi) said, “I want him to go through serious beating of his life.”

In response to Kyari’s question about what Chibuzor had done to Abbas (Hushpuppi), Abbas sent Kyari an audio message.

He said: "What he did is, I have one job. The job want to pay me 500, umm, 75,000 dollars [i.e., $575,000]. He went to message the job behind me because I told him to help me make one document for me to give the job. Then he went—he has a—I gave him the details.

“Then he went to message the job behind my back and try to divert the money and in this process he tell the job because of the documents he gave me that I gave the job, he tell the job, 'These document they sent to you before. These people are fake (sic).

“'This money—is me who can help you to get it. Come to me le—bring this money you want to pay these people to me. I’m the only one who can help you,' and all these things to divert the job for himself."

After listening to the message, Kyari simply said he understood without requesting other information or evidence relating to Chibuzor’s role in the scheme, or any questions about the nature of the transaction, the document added.

Hushpuppi further said he wanted to pay money to send Chibuzor to jail for a long time, stating “Please sir I want to spend money to send this boy to jail, let him go for a very long time.”

Kyari responded, “Ok bro, I understand I will discuss with my team who arrested him . . . And handling the case. We will do something about it.”

Hushpuppi responded, “Let me know how I can send money to the team sir, let them deal with him like armed robber.”

Kyari responded, “OK I will send their account details to u.”

Hushpuppi further wrote, “He betrayed me and try (sic) to take food out my mouth, this is great punishable sin,” and Kyari responded, “Yeah bro.”

Hushpuppi said, “I want him to suffer for many years.”

Kyari responded, “Hahahaha Hahahaha.”

The document stated that about some minutes later, Kyari provided the account information for a bank account at a Nigerian bank, Zenith Bank, in the name of a person other than Kyari himself.

Hushpuppi responded “Ok sir, tomorrow by noon."

This showed that Hushpuppi planned to pay the Nigeria Police Force officers who arrested Chibuzor for that service.

A part of the document stated, ”This was not the only time that Abbas arranged payments with Kyari. On May 20, 2020, Abbas sent Kyari transaction receipts for two transactions from accounts at Nigerian banks (GTBank and Zenith Bank) of a person Abbas knew in the U.A.E.—a person also arrested with Abbas in Abbas’ apartment in the U.A.E. by Dubai Police on June 9, 2020—to the Nigerian bank accounts of another person in Nigeria.

“The amounts on the transaction receipts totalled 8 million Nigerian Naira, which was approximately $20,600 based on publicly available exchange rate information.”

This is the point at which you know you are sharing a country with psychos.

Someone has beaten them into an abused dog kind of state and it is pathetic. You don't know how weak and ugly that mentality looks.

Guys, How true is this ?

Here is the link from the tweet: https://www.peacefmonline.com/pages/local/travel/202107/449229.php

Thoughts on hiring PMCs ?

I know almost everyone on this thread at one point or the other advocated for STEPP to be back, But Eeben Barlow talk say he is not coming back , he is done with Nigeria.

I Know the Gov advised FG to get mercenaries to take the battle to them , does it mean the FG is taking his advise and perhaps FG advise too ?

Nobody serious wants PMCs. Wagner has its hands full anyway and their presence on Nigerian soil will motivate and embolden ISWAP.

STEPP performed well only in some idiots' fantastic mind. The war is not about fighting skills. ISWAP don't have fightng skills. The war is about winning hearts and minds in the North East and tired old Russians escaping Russian weather don't have skills in that area as we all saw in Afghanistan.

This story is full of holes. Meeting Yahaya in Lagos, not Abuja.
