DubaiLandLord1: A whole landlord of bitterness accusing people of being bitter towards him. It is ur bitterness towards ur country in particular and your fellow Igbos in general that makes u want this country to dissolve on war( another Somalia). It is this bitterness that makes u never celebrate when Nigerian army achieves success but instead celebrate when Nigerian army officials are killed. It is this same bitterness that makes u happy when innocent Nigerian soidiers and cops are murdered by ESN terrorist. It is this bitterness that makes u want to turn our beloved Igboland to a warzone Don't ever accuse anyone of bitterness when the only news you post from SR are stories of war or anger mean to stimulate angst among the populace. What happened to balanced reporting since u want to turn to Newspaper Vendor?. You finally had a good night sleep in over 20 years. It was so special that u had to tell us how sweet the night sleep was. Your night must be filled with terrors U are a child of hate and perdition . Sending love and light your way 12 Likes 1 Share |

DubaiLandLord1: Governance is absent in rural areas hence security architecture is absent. Security architecture is absent because (I) LGA funds are being stolen and shared at state capitals by Governors and so there are no drivers of a strong economy. (II) the average Nigerian city dweller supports this state of affairs because of mental conditioning. Rural areas are "village". They go there for burials and for S. Easterners, once for trad marriage. People are not thinking in Nigeria. Most people have not really 'thought' since their parents shat them up on a midwife's table. 80% of the money made in Nigeria is at the rural areas and 100% of the sharing is in the big cities. The North and South have the same orientation within this rural-urban resource matrix and bandits are killing Northerners more than kidnappers, ND militants, ritualists and cultists are killing southerners. The things that may help are LGA reforms + jailing of LG chairmen allowing Govs to steal their money AND the new PIB that mandates 3% to 5% oil and gas operational expenditure to be spent in rural areas. Young people should correct rural-urban dichotomy in their generation. This is being full human beings, employ full capabilities and seeing the entire country as theirs to be exploited for good. Stop running scared and creating internal boundaries and limits. There are people living up to 80 years in Nigeria and all they know are a few big cities within Nigeria. That's a waste of life. 3 Likes 1 Share |

DubaiLandLord1: You might not be happy, but I'm very happy that at least Kyari the tailor will face some kinda justice after all. It would have been nice to have him investigated and tried by an impartial panel for the numerous human rights abuses he has been creditably accused of in Nigeria, but we all know that's impossible. So let them take him abroad and exact a measure of justice if he's found guilty of consorting and taking bribes from fraudsters. After Kyari, it's my hope that victims of SARS and Nigerian police brutality will start suing from abroad and this will hopefully trigger some Nigerian police reform. 2 Likes |

DubaiLandLord1: My friend, Abba Kyari will go to prison if guilty. I have a rice mill and others i cooperate with around Epe and Itoikin area. Lagos State has many agric projects and demonstration farms around that area. In fact I was going to post on Facebook a best practice I saw where LASG officials were chatting to real herdsmen (not Fulani militia) with about 300 heads of cattle who were going to possibly encroach on some farms. They were leading them to another area that I assumed was going to be a temporary grazing area for them. A few days later on social media I saw a large no of cattle driven out of Lagos into Ogun State. The major point I was making was the necessity to see social problems for what they are and not regress into atavism. Don't also blame a specific tribe for problems that every tribe whilst not all being guilty of are also potentially capable of. Finally only cowards and effeminate men react with fear and hate to social problems. You should seek to understand, then you master it and then you solve it. Don't run scared. It is an accident you were born into the tribe you belong to. Broaden your mind 6 Likes 1 Share |

Gireiboy: Highlighted is the point. When some of us draw reference to United states, we do so in suggestion that if America, supposedly the worlds top democracy and human rights poster boy, is barley better than Nigeria in instance such as police brutality, when scrutinised more closely, why do some wish to paint Nigeria as the worst country in the world, when we have not even mentioned, China, India, Mexico, Brazil, Pakistan, Columbia, South Africa, Philippines, Jamaica, France etc Many of us are not excusing Nigeria’s faults simply for criticising the way Nigeria is criticised. If train derails in Nigeria, resulting in casualties and people call for the sacking of management, investigation of contracts and quality of build, call for public enquiries, question how services responded to injured and dead, criticise maintenance, call for sacking and resignation – these would be inline with expectation. However when people start making statements such as, ‘Only in Nigeria, disintegrate this contraption; Nigeria is cussed, Nigerians are demonic, Zoogeria etc, of course some of us are forced to say, ‘Waite a minute, train accidents happen everywhere’. We would like to criticise but Instead we are forced into defending. Nigeria isn’t even a so-called developed nation but a developing one. Some type of criticism in question has dishonest dimensions since they are often extraordinarily extreme, often racists or tribalitic, suggesting that the intent is not to inspire improvements but to worsen them, for a verity of motives some of which are obvious. I guess also, there is an understandably visceral reaction to notions that certain undesirable developments general to humans and their societies are specific only to Nigeria and Nigerians. 12 Likes 1 Share |

Litmus: US institutions are more mature and tested than Nigeria's. Security issues and police brutality may be worse in the US. I have lived in two states in the US. I never went to some neighborhoods in NY, Chicago and Detroit where i hear Nigeria would be like paradise in comparison. Always argue with facts, not sponged off perceptions from other people. Many European nationals see the US as a glorified third world country with nuclear weapons, tech advancement and industrial capacity. That is to say, they think the level of human development is not commensurate with their wealth and the technological advancement. That's a view that is debateable BUT it is far better than the one that sees Uncle Sam as perfect. If you think the US is perfect with the crimes, prosperity pastors, stupid tax code, thieving pharmaceutical industry, no good health insurance system and the recent Capitol invasion by Trump's mobs then you are uneducated. 6 Likes 1 Share |

DubaiLandLord1: I had this discussion with a friend on how fraudulent guys escape judgment when taken to court. I always feel the Judges have been bribed. It was my friend a Legal practitioner who told me that our security forces don’t do proper investigation before arrest. They just rush to make arrests that’s all. Just see EFCC now running up and down into hotels in Lagos like a headless chicken. Them think say Na to where red jacket be everything. I think KPMG, PWC or some Private security companies should become government recruitment consultants. Just look at the number of well kitted Policemen guarding Private Citizens as escorts. Abeg you get any link to USA? I heard street gangsterism is on the high side, but I’ll love to be there. After all, my sister in Benue told me over 20 youths have been killed tin a cult supremacy battle and it never made any news headline. 1 Like |

I still wonder how most of una dey here alive and well while boatloads of people dey die daily in that disgusting wretched country (sarcasm). I wonder. I'm genuinely curious how many of you guys have actually been victimized in that same Nigeria. Have you been shot? raped? have your home burglarized etc. Most bad sh!t most ppl probably have to deal with was give bribes to cops, what else? I get that there is economic hardship, show me where same isn't true around the world. I'm not saying Nigeria doesn't have huge issues, but so is the rest of the world, and spending your every living moment to rant on here won't solve the problems. My parents live right there in Ondo State, 78yrs on this earth, my father has yet to experience any danger that threatened his life, got brothers and sisters all over that same country, and they are alive and well. So what threat have you experienced? pls share. Or you guys just love disseminating rumors without actually witnessing most of these things. Nigeria bad. rest of the world good. Go to Ecuador, and these latin American countries, then perhaps you'd understand the meaning of crimes. dont tear down your own. ranting won't make it better. trying to fix it will. And Oga Dubai, hopefully your issues with fulanis will be resolved in ur life time, hang in there. Me go hold down this Eldorado for ya 12 Likes 1 Share |

SamuelAnyawu: When it comes to financial crime there is always need for large resources The EFCC is only going after Yahoo boys to show that the country do not support fraud and they do not commit their resources to it. When it comes to huge financial case that deserves the resources then they use it. The EFCC have convicted alot of fraudsters but the judiciary system is a bit unbalance when it comes to sentencing this individuals. Moreover you don't expect the EFCC to chase a $50k scam with $100k it is a waste of the scarcely available resources |

About Abba Kyari; if in a sensitive position where your job requires the utmost integrity, best not be seen cavorting with characters who might have question marks hanging over their heads. Nigerian police should also introduce debriefing to every significant Policing incidents that occurs in the line of duty. In his interactions with certain SM celebrities, they'll have been able to warn him. They probably would have nicked any excesses or wings his fame and accolades were bringing him. By the way, enough of Police & Bigman syndrome where a wealthy associate can have someone picked up in return for a remittance. 3 Likes |

SamuelAnyawu:Most of the time, is not always the fault of the judges. Now, look at the case between El zakazy and the Kaduna state government, did you see the way the case was thrown out by the court and why it was thrown out? I hear say EFCC dey really carry boys like this for Ibadan sef. Some of this Yahoo boys no just know their right, without anybody accusing you of commiting a crime, no law enforcement agency have the right to arrest you for no reason... But this country nah anyhow country. They do not charge some of this boys to court, most of the guys you do see EFCC parading as Yahoo boys, almost everyone of them do walk away free after wiping off their money and collecting their properties. But some don't lose everything dey have sha. This have now turn to a means by EFCC officials to enrich themselves. Nigerian security personnel learn nothing, this was the way SARS started, now EFCC is also losing focus. I would have fully supported them if they do go after Nigerian politicians like this. Even with solid evidence by an insider, nothing have been done about Alpha Beta. 3 Likes |
