You know what? I observed that we who use eTrade platforms are at a huge disadvantage when there is a rush to buy a stock going on full bid. This morning by 10am when eTrade started already 23m shares of Transcorp have been sold, and within 10 minutes it has already jumped to 0.98 to 1.00. This same thing happened with Oando, which by 10am on the first day was already on full bid. Which means individual traders/investors using eTrade are being treated unfairly in the current system as there is no equity.
I thought it is from 9:30am

Too much liquidity is the problem with this stock.....just one person can supply all the 117Mbids.. grin
While some stocks are battling illiquidity, Transcorp is battling liquidity...... grin

What Oando did in about 5 days, I don't think Transcorp can do it in 3 days. Let's see if it'll be different this time around.......

Transcorp was still 40B OS in 2013 when it moved from #1 to #6.00.When Tony is ready, they can do it again.I want it this time around.

Do you need a special status on Morgan to bid between 9.30 and 10.00am? My own definitely does not allow me until 10.00am.

No!
It's open to all customers.
Try it on Monday, and if it's not going, contact Morgan Customer Care.

**Let me add that you can't place bids/offers once it's 9.55am to 10am, in case you tried to place around that time**
That's the rule.

He can place bids/offers during pre-market at price limit order.
He can also place bid/offers after trading at price limit order good for 7days to reflect on the next market day.

Weldone bro.Get ready to buy at the next support which will likely be higher than the 90kobo it traded for months before this result came out.
Na today. We have seen it all in Transcorp Plc. The highest Transcorp can do is N1.20 and fall back to base. We have seen it before. What happened when the Afam power plant acquisition was completed. What happened when Oil deal was announced. Transcorp has over bloated shares and foreign investors are not insight to push in the money. Meanwhile i am at the downstream waiting with my profit .

I've been on NL for some yrs now, but never knew there's such thread here. I managed to go through some of the many comments by you guys, and I am amazed actually.
Here's the thing. This year one of my goals is to learn the financial markets. I have been at it since. Though mostly I've been learning the currency market, Bond, stocks etc.
But during the cause of my trying to learn NSE, I couldn't find reliable data source for NSE stock.
Here's steps I've taken
•Downloading Nairametrics apps wasn't helpful cause it seems the financial news there is outdated.
•I tried using investing.com but there's no EPS, PE ratio and some relevant data on NSE.

•Used Trove app but showed discrepancies with Investing.com.

I would also want to know the down side that comes with investing and trading NSE

Would really appreciate if you guys can put me through this NSE market with recommendations , opinions , trading platforms and relevant data sources that would help expand my knowledge of NSE.

Above is the half year result of universal insurance.. from my understanding they made profit in the first quarter but a substantial loss in the second quarter

Can someone go through the half year result and tell why they made such huge loss in 2nd quarter?

Appreciated

I think it's okay at that junction, averaging down can be less tasking if needs be.
With other oil companies doing well, settlement with SEC, oil price @$74 and possibility of improved result, it may still do well.
Let's keep watching how it goes.....las las, all na risk taking too. smiley

In another news, market was generally down today.....with GTB, UACN and Oando taking the lead in massive sell off......
Good enough, ZENITH did not follow GTB to 'go down', we see how coming days looks like........E Ku market o.

Why not go the extra mile and do this yourself in the long run. If you need the info immediately now you definitely need the assistance of others. But you can learn how to do rudimentary analysis of financial reports yourself. Lots of analysts are not accountants but of all disciplines such as Engineering and even Doctors. If God blessed you with ability to handle numbers, computers and complex new problems you can do it. This is what I am currently doing. This is just to encourage you and others.

What's the point in doing it myself and getting the wrong conclusion

What I have been able to understand from reading the result is that Q2 was a loss..

I have done nothing wrong in asking for "expert opinion".. and asking for guidance..

p.s. I do believe my posting the link to the result will be of benefit to all.. let's do the analysis together.

Thanks for your advice still.

If you cannot get dollars yourself and you still wish to enjoy the proceeds of forex gains, buy good banking stocks. With the new CBN policy, banks are in for good times in that regard. Just thinking aloud.

Dollar dominated mutual funds is also a good alternative to preserve values.
